The person lying next to him quietly got up.

Xu Han blinked and saw Wu Lixia changing her clothes lightly, leaving the bedroom and closing the door.

The sound of slight footsteps went away towards the kitchen. Through the door panel, Xu Han could not hear anything else.  She curled up quietly on the bed and didn't move for a long time.  A circle of light from the street lights outside leaked out from the edge of the tightly drawn curtains, shining into the dark room and slanting on the side of the wardrobe.

    It's still dark.

When there was a faint sound from the kitchen, Xu Han got up from the bed, put on his slippers and ran to the toilet.

There are three mouthwash cups next to the sink, with the small blue cup in the middle.  That was what Wu Lixia bought for her yesterday.  Picking up the cup and toothbrush, Xu Han raised his eyes and saw himself in the mirror.  Messy hair, sallow face.  She was wearing Wan Yuliang's old sweatshirt, with the cuffs hanging down and half of her waist visible.

She looked into her dark eyes as if looking at a stranger.

When putting the steaming rack into the pot filled with water, Wu Lixia heard the footsteps behind her.

She turned around and saw Xu Han standing at the door of the kitchen, still wearing ill-fitting clothes and trousers, with slumped thin shoulders and holding the corners of his clothes tightly with both hands.  "Hey, girl, you're up." Wu Lixia smiled at her, took out the steamed buns from the refrigerator and put them on the steamer, then turned to look at her, "Have you brushed your teeth and washed your face?"

    Xu Han nodded.

Turning around and turning on the faucet, Wu Lixia rinsed the greasy lid of the frying pan, "Okay, let me wipe my hands and comb your hair."

Standing silently by the door, Xu Han looked at her figure in trance.

The alarm clock suddenly sounded loudly in Wan Yuliang's room.  She turned her head and looked over, and saw him rushing out of the room while picking up his pants, walking around in the living room, and then ran into the toilet.  Wu Lixia walked to Xu Han, poked her head in the direction of the toilet, raised her voice and shouted: "Hurry up, A Liang! It's time to eat!" Then, without waiting for his response, she gently pushed the little girl's arm,  "Come on, go back to your room and comb your hair."

Unlike Wu Lixia¡¯s long, thick black hair, Xu Han¡¯s hair is thin and soft, with a faint yellowing at the roots.  The split ends of her hair had already been cut off the night before. Wu Lixia helped her tie two braids in a leisurely manner, then found colorful little rubber bands from the drawer and braided them for her.

"When I was pregnant with Aliang, I never knew whether I was carrying a son or a daughter." Looking at her through the small mirror on the table, Wu Lixia smiled with her eyes bent, with fine wrinkles at the end of her eyes, "  At that time, I always thought that it would be nice if she was a daughter, and I would give her beautiful braids every day."

Staring at her face in the mirror, Xu Han looked numb and remained silent from beginning to end.

After a while, Wu Lixia braided her hair.  She started to straighten the mirror and asked with a smile: "Does it look good?"

Xu Han stared at the little girl in the mirror and touched her tight braid.  Wu Lixia tied her hair tightly, and every hair was pulling hard on her scalp, which was a bit painful.

But Xu Han touched the left side, then the right side, and finally nodded in front of the mirror.

Breakfast is steamed buns, pickled mustard, egg soup, and fried lettuce.

Wan Yuliang was holding the steamed bun in one hand and the soup bowl in the other. He took a bite of the steamed bun and drank a big mouthful of egg soup.  Wu Lixia was busy adding lettuce to Xu Han's bowl. She glanced at his chopsticks, which had not been touched from beginning to end, and couldn't help but stare at him: "Eat some green vegetables!"

Nodding casually, the boy swallowed the last bite of the steamed bun, grabbed a handful of lettuce with chopsticks and stuffed it into his mouth, chewed it twice and swallowed it, "Mom, do you want to go to work today?"

"Of course I want to go."

    "Where is that girl going?"

Xu Han, who was biting the bun with his face buried in his face, raised his head.

"Come to the institute with me." Wu Lixia put a handful of lettuce into her bowl again.

"Oh." The boy mumbled, lowered his head, put his mouth to the edge of the bowl, and drank the rest of the soup in one go.  He didn't look at Xu Han, he just put down the bowl and chopsticks, jumped off the chair, and ran back to his bedroom.

Silently picking up the chopsticks, Xu Han picked up a little lettuce and put it into his mouth.

The sound of thumping footsteps suddenly approached, and before she could swallow the food in her mouth, she saw him put a book in her hand with a bang.  "Take this and take a look at it." After saying this hurriedly, the boy did not stop and ran to the entrance without looking back. He kicked off his slippers and ran out of the door, "I'm going to school!"

Wu Lixia sat at the dining table and reminded him in a loud voice: "Cross the road and watch the traffic!"

What she responded to was the sound of the boy slamming the door.

&nb?Take her home.  The corridors were crowded with patients and their families, including men, pregnant women, and infants.  Amidst the restrained noise, the nurse's call could occasionally be heard.

A woman with a big belly passed by Xu Han.  She jumped off the chair and walked to the door of the consulting room.

"Second-degree perineal tear." The door panel opened a small gap. She stood by the door and faintly heard the female doctor's low voice. "It looked like it had been stitched four or five years ago. It should have been handled promptly at that time.  , so that it did not cause infection or other problems.¡±

The woman with a big belly sat on the seat vacated by Xu Han, let out a sigh of relief, and wiped the sweat from her forehead.

"Is there anything else" Wu Lixia in the consulting room hesitated to speak.

"The cervical tissue is damaged. If you don't pay attention, cervical erosion is likely to occur"

Leaning next to the door frame, Xu Han turned his face and looked at her back through the crack in the door.

The female doctor facing the door noticed her and quietly signaled to Wu Lixia.

She turned around and met Xu Han's eyes.

Against the light, Xu Han could only see clearly her tense jaw and reddish eye sockets.

That afternoon, Wu Lixia got on her bicycle and rode to the Municipal Public Security Bureau.

When she broke into the conference room single-handedly, Xu Han stood outside the door, his thin back pressed against the cold wall, silently listening to her angry questions.

"She is only eleven or twelve years old! She had such an old injury when she was eleven or twelve years old! How old was she four or five years ago? Six years old? Seven years old?" Questions echoed throughout the empty corridor, knocking on Xu Han's chest.  Eardrum, "Everyone here is a person with children - I believe no one would want their children to experience this kind of thing at such a young age! But such a thing - such a thing is happening in our jurisdiction now  This place!"

Sliding down and leaning against the wall, she hugged her knees and picked at her fingers unconsciously.

"In addition to the little girl at the door, there are other, more children who are going through this! Children - they are still children! But what are we doing? As the people's police, we can't even spare the manpower to conduct a thorough investigation  Come help these helpless children!"

    The tabletop was slapped loudly.

Xu Han moved his head and buried his face in his knees.

She seemed to be back to that night a few years ago, with insects noisy outside the window and no lights in the house.

She huddled in the corner of the big bed in the darkness, her face covered with tears.

"Sister, sister" The younger sister crawled to her side in the dark, pushed her arm carefully, and called her over and over, "Sister, does it hurt?"

Warm liquid flowed out from between the legs.  Xu Han huddled up, curled up his toes, and trembled all over.

"Sister, if you don't cry, I'll give you Xiao Lian's candy" The little hand touched her face randomly, and the younger sister took out the candy secretly hidden in her pocket, unwrapped it, and pushed it to her mouth.

Xu Han still remembers that it was a toffee.

Holding it in your mouth with tears in it, it¡¯s fishy and salty.

¡°It was too late when I updated last night, and I didn¡¯t have time for the writer to have anything to say.

In the chapter "Birthday", there is a dead little girl in Zeng Jingyuan's room. She is "naked" and has "legs spread wide, with a thin-necked wine bottle stuck underneath." You can contact her here [14-3  ¡¿ Zhao Yichen said that the abducted children were "either sold to remote villages or sold to 'foot washing shops'", while Zeng Jingyuan pointed to the dead girl and said to Xu Han, "You can do this, you are familiar with this job."  This means that Xu Han used to do this in the Xu family.  In addition to what Zeng Jingyuan said later, "How old were you when you were pregnant?", "How many of you have been with me?", "How old are the foreign devils?", "Has your father ever played with you?" etc I believe she was in many places before.  It was already clear what the family was forced to do.

Xu Han lay trembling at Zeng Jingyuan's feet twice because Zeng Jingyuan threatened to send her to a foot washing shop or send her back to Xu's home.  Although the first time was to save Old Man Ma, the main reason for Xu Han's compromise was the deep fear in his heart.

She was six or seven years old when the shadow was left.

She was ten or eleven years old when she chose to hurt others to save herself.

I don¡¯t want to defend anything, because she already had the ability to distinguish at that time.  But she was afraid.  Fear is the root of evil. Maybe you can overcome it, but she can't.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
