    At this time, the second "Three-Year Plan" of the Northeast New Deal has been more than half completed, and the fiscal revenue under the name of the National Unification Committee of the former Fengcheng System has exceeded 1.36 billion yuan. Even if a man-made disaster such as the Zhizhi-Fengtian War occurred, together with the destroyed Henan,  Shandong and Zhizhi provinces and the Beijing-Tianjin region also have about 1.72 billion yuan.

    During the same period, the Japanese economy fell into a depression after the crisis of 1920, and the famous Great Kanto Earthquake occurred, which caused a sharp decline in the fiscal year. As a result, China's national income reached more than 107% of Japan's during the same period.

    After twenty years, China has once again surpassed Japan in terms of disposable financial resources!  At the same time, China's pig iron production has exceeded 4 million tons, and steel production has also exceeded 1 million tons, providing sufficient economic and material support for large-scale railway construction.

    Under these conditions, Sun Yat-sen devoted himself with great enthusiasm to the grand plan of building a 100,000-kilometer railway. Through communication with Zhang Hanqing, he conceived a four-vertical and four-horizontal transportation network spanning China's east, west, north, and south:

    The three vertical lines have been basically completed: the Beijing-Hankong Railway and the Han-Guangdong Railway are only waiting to be connected by the Yangtze River Bridge between Wuchang and Hankou sections to become the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway; connecting the Jinpu Line and the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai Railway to become the Beijing-Shanghai Railway also relies on the Yangtze River Bridge  put up;

    The Jingjia Line, which starts from Beijing and is on par with the South Manchuria Railway, passes through Huairou, Rehe, Chengde, Chifeng, and ends at Tongliao. Its north and south sides connect to Harbin from Da'an. If there is spare capacity, it can be directly connected to Jiamusi, thus bypassing Japanese control.  The South Manchuria Railway can also enhance Beijing¡¯s strategic control over the Northeast.  This line currently only has the section from the suburbs of Beijing to Huairou and Chengde, and other sections have begun to open to traffic.

    In addition, in order to connect the less developed central region, a small Beijing-Kowloon Railway will be built starting from Beijing, passing through Bazhou and Hengshui in Zhili, Liaocheng and Heze in Shandong, and Fuyang in Anhui to Jiujiang in Jiangxi, becoming a small Beijing-Kowloon Railway, and then connecting Nanchang, Ji'an, and Ganzhou  , entering Longchuan, Dongguan, and Shenzhen in Guangdong, waiting for opportunities to connect to Hong Kong and Kowloon to become the Greater Beijing-Kowloon.

    The Longhai Line is a top priority connecting the east, central and west of China.  After several years of hard work, the section from Xi'an to Baoji under the former People's Army has been completed, and the section from Tianshui to Lanzhou has basically been completed. The only difference is between Baoji and Tianshui, and the section from Luoyang to Xi'an in Henan and the section from Xuzhou to Lianyungang under the original direct line of Henan.  If completed, it will extend from the northwest of Lanzhou to Dihua, Xinjiang (now Urumqi), becoming the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Line.

    The so-called "Tianlun" line runs from Tianjin through Beijing, Zhangyuan (Zhangjiakou), then Benhong, Erenhot, and directly into Kulun, the provincial capital of Outer Mongolia, becoming a strategic transportation line for the central government to control the north;

    Based on the "Jiaoji Line" connecting Qingdao to Jinan, it extends from Jinan to Dezhou, Hengshui, Shijiazhuang, and to Taiyuan and Yuci in Shanxi to prepare for the future use of Shanxi's rich coal resources.

    When the southwest is liberated, it will become the Jingui Line, a major trunk line across the hinterland of South China, from Jinhua in Zhejiang to Guiyang in Guizhou, passing through Yingtan in Jiangxi, Zhuzhou, Loudi and Huaihua in Hunan;

    These 4 vertical and 4 horizontal lines run through China in all directions and in many provinces, becoming a major infrastructure project that attracts the attention of all parties. Not counting the completed parts, the newly built part is about 5,000 kilometers.  According to the value of silver dollars in the early years of the Republic of China, it cost about 106,000 foreign dollars to build each kilometer of railway. According to the standard broad gauge (imperial gauge, 1435mm wide), about 38 kilograms of steel per meter of length.

    This project requires a total expenditure of 530 million yuan and 190,000 tons of steel. Without the industrial and financial foundation laid by Fengxi, such a cost would be unimaginable.  In order to realize economic benefits as soon as possible, the method of operating one section first after one section is built is implemented.

    Thinking about that era in official history, China¡¯s total annual steel output was less than 40,000 tons, we can see how much effort Zhang Hanqing put into making China strong!

    Seeing that the goal of enriching the country and strengthening the military could be achieved in his hands, Sun Yat-sen devoted all his enthusiasm.  It is rare for the two major parties to work together on the same matter, which has accelerated the process of China's railway construction.  In order to reduce the cost of road construction, Zhang Hanqing also used the method of soldiers and workers to build roads, using troops stationed along the line to participate in road construction. Later, China's first railway corps was born.

    This is something.

    Everyone worked hard to build the new Republic of China, but Zhang Zongchang of Shandong became his local emperor with peace of mind.  Shandong was not wealthy to begin with. In order to support the "foreign corps" that was not included in the central financial support system, he tried every means to scrape land in Shandong.  Under the brutal levy, there were more than 50 types of taxes!

    And the "foreign corps" was originally composed of irregular soldiers from various countries. Their bravery in war was commendable, but in peacetime, things that disturbed the people and caused trouble often occurred.  Although Yu Zhen restrained her many times, the results were not great.

    When the Shandong Provincial Government was first established, the elders of the Feng clan were all concerned about the struggle with the Kuomintang and the army for their sphere of influence in Beijing and the north, and they had very little restraint on him.  When the provincial government built corresponding administrative departments in accordance with the central ministries, he acted like a governor.Fang interferes and gives priority to the people he likes to be promoted and rich.

    The young provincial governor He Siyuan is not his opponent. He still has the final say on many things, which has caused a lot of public dissatisfaction and has brought a great negative impact on the People's Party.

    Although he is not a member of the People's Party, he is regarded by the people as a member of the Feng clan. Otherwise, why did the People's Party tolerate him in Shandong for so long?  And now I heard that he has become the deputy commander-in-chief of the Navy of the Republic of China and the chief of staff of the North China Command. That is the rhythm of the army and navy!

    Various news reached the central government, most of which said that Zhang Zongchang was committing lawlessness and was still acting like a warlord, which put a lot of pressure on Zhang Zuolin, who was deliberately trying to lure Zhang Zongchang out of Lu.

    But Zhang Zongchang is not stupid. At present, only Shandong Fengxiu has the least effort and can still make himself jump.  If you go to other places, don't you have to deprive yourself of all privileges except military power?  He used various methods to shirk his feelings, saying "I love Lu Di, I have loved it for ten thousand years".

    When Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Fujian were pacified, the situation was excellent. Under such circumstances, it became necessary to deal with Zhang Zongchang.

    But after all, Zhang Zongchang has been affiliated with Feng for a long time, has made great achievements, and has no clear major crimes. What method should be used?  Everyone knows Zhang Zongchang's fiery temper. If he gets angry and leads his troops to fight back, it will be a source of great laughter to the Feng clan.

    The National Defense Commission discussed many times and had the idea of ????letting Guo Songling come forward to persuade Zhang Zongchang to stay away from politics.  When Guo Songling was the commander of the North China People's Army, he had many contacts with Zhang Zongchang.  However, since Zhang Zongchang became the deputy commander of the navy, he had many conflicts with Lao Guo, whose headquarters was located in Qingdao. Now Lao Guo's words no longer work.

    Zhang Hanqing found this matter easy to hear.  With the current strength of the People's Army, Zhang Zongchang is not stupid, and he will not rebel even if he is given ten courages. This is what he knows about Zhang Zongchang.  When many people couldn't agree, he left Beijing with Yu Yifan and took the train to Jinan.

    At this time, it was only ten days before he returned to Beijing.  However, I went to the Soviet Union and then to Germany in early March. I spent two months on the road alone, and it was already midsummer when I returned to China.

    This ride has a different flavor.  Because when he arrived in China, he was surrounded by eyes staring at Zhang Hanqing, so Yu Yifan also maintained his composure. Except for occasionally running to his room for a moment of tenderness in the dead of night, he usually did not dare to mess around.  This time she insisted on going out to Beijing together, also to avoid being seen and heard, and to find the feeling of being in the world of two people again.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
