Xu Han pushed open the door of 116.

Just as the curtains were closed with a "swish", Zhou Nan stood by the window, wearing only a loose top and two slender straight legs.  The curtains had not been removed and washed for a long time, raising a lot of dust, and they were panicked and exposed to the dim light.  She looked back at Xu Han, then walked to her desk without saying a word, picked up the trousers on the back of the chair, bent down and raised her feet to step into the trousers.

After closing the door tightly, Xu Han stood by the door. Unlike before, he didn't take off his schoolbag and dig out the goods. He just stood there, staring at her.

After a long while, she said: "Bible Stories."

Zhou Nan held two belts in her hands and raised her eyebrows: "What?"

"I want to read "Bible Stories."" Xu Han looked at her without blinking, "Can you lend it to me?"

Pulling out the chair and sitting down, Zhou Nan raised the corners of her lips and smiled, as if she was in a mood.

"Do you believe in these?" she asked while putting on her socks, her black hair sliding over her shoulders and falling to her face, "Christianity? Or Catholicism?"

The girl standing by the door said nothing.

Zhou Nan put on her socks and raised her head to look at her.  She was carrying her schoolbag and huddled in the shadow cast by the luggage rack on the door. She was still wearing the summer uniform of the elementary school, shorts and short sleeves, as thin as a paper figure.  Zhou Nan turned his gaze for a while and found her dark eyes.  The light in the room was not good, and she could not see any light in her eyes.

"I don't have this book, but I can borrow it from the library for you." After suppressing a smile, Zhou Nan turned around and picked up the clutter on the table, "Do you also want a Bible?"

Xu Han shook his head, "I can carry it."

Zhou Nan casually inserted a pen into the pen holder, and Zhou Nan smiled again: "Then recite a paragraph to me."

Holding the strap of her schoolbag tight, Xu Han looked at her profile and refused to say anything for a moment.  She had her ears pierced, with a golden earring on her clean and beautiful earlobes.  Xu Han thought that it would be painful to pierce such a layer of flesh.

"No one will be able to stand before you all the days of your life." She opened her mouth and heard her hoarse voice, "As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will never leave you.  and I will not forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you will make this people their inheritance, the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.¡±

Zhou Nan leaned back in his chair, took out a box of cigarettes from the drawer, and lit one for himself.

"Just be strong and be of great courage, and observe and obey all the laws that my servant Moses commanded you, and do not turn aside to the left or right, so that you may have success wherever you go." Xu Han looked at her, looking at her slightly drooped eyelashes.  , watching the white smoke ring slowly overflowing from her red lips, "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may observe and obey everything written in this book. In this way,  Then your paths will be prosperous and everything will go well for you. Didn¡¯t I command you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, and do not be dismayed. For the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Xu Han stopped.  Zhou Nan didn't speak or look at her.  For a while, she only smoked there.

"Which section is this?" she asked after a long while.

""The Book of Ruosue"." Xu Han said.

After falling silent again, Zhou Nan brought the cigarette to his mouth again, raised his head slightly, and took a deep breath.

"Do you really believe it?" As she blew out the white smoke, she asked Xu Han, "Your god?"

    She shook her head.

With a chuckle, Zhou Nan put out the cigarette, "Then what other books do you read and what Bible do you memorize?"

"I want to believe it." Xu Han told her.

With her index finger still holding the cigarette butt, Zhou Nan stared at the gradually dimming red firelight. After a long time, she let go, opened the drawer, took out a few bills, and threw them at her feet.

"Put the things on the floor, you can go." Her voice became colder, she set up the mirror without looking back, and picked up the eyebrow pencil at hand, "I will give you the book when I come here next time."

Xu Han took off his schoolbag, turned out the bag of white powder, squatted down and placed it on the ground.

Then she picked up the money again and stuffed it into her pocket.

From the corner of his eye, Zhou Nan saw her stand up again and put on her schoolbag.  After waiting for a while, she didn't leave.

She then looked into her eyes in the mirror, "What's wrong?"

"Wang Shaofeng asked them to add something into it," Xu Han told her, "You won't be able to quit easily."

After saying that, he turned around, opened the door, and ran away as if running for his life.  Walking through the long corridor, past the messy dormitoriesClass room.  He didn't look back, nor did he peek at Zhou Nan's expression.

I just feel that the green leather dictionary in my schoolbag is beating, and my heart is beating too.

Jump, jump.  Jumped into the throat.

In the next few days, Xu Han kept waiting.

Waiting for the black Guangben, waiting for the blind man to come to her.  Every time Zeng Jingyuan wanted to see her, it was the blind man who came to tell her.

Old man Ma doesn¡¯t know anything.  He still went begging during the day, occasionally carrying a brick in his pocket.  When the brick is broken open, there is white powder inside.  Sometimes he would swallow several bags and stay away for more than ten days.

Xu Han doesn¡¯t care about him, she only cares about herself.  She dreams every day that Zeng Jingyuan steps on her head with a big knife in his hand.  He slashed her legs first, then her arms.  Finally, he chopped off her head and threw her into the kitchen of the noodle shop to be burned.  She was burned into a puddle of oil and a pile of bones.

When she woke up from the dream, she was covered in sweat.

For several days, there was no black car or blind man¡¯s hand.

There are only quiet nights and dogs rummaging through the garbage.

On Saturday, Xu Han put on her school uniform again, carried her schoolbag, and walked across the bridge leading to the municipal library.

The library opened early in the morning.  People came in and out, including old people, students, and children.  She sat on the steps in front of the library door, picked a corner seat, took off her schoolbag, and found a pen and a thin Chinese textbook.

Just follow the pinyin and start reading the text.

Farmers plant corn in the fields.  In autumn, a lot of corn was harvested.

Farmers planted peanuts in the fields.  In autumn, a lot of peanuts were harvested.

The kitten saw it and planted the small fish into the ground

People were coming and going around, and it gradually became noisy.

Many people are sitting on the steps reading.  There were also people holding books and sitting next to her.

"Grandma, you really can't go in!" A young voice suddenly raised its pitch and broke into her ears abruptly.

Xu Han turned around.  The guard guarding the door stopped an old man in ragged clothes. His face turned red, and he spread his arms like a steel wall and stood there, saying nothing to let her in.

"I will borrow a book from my grandson He needs to do his homework" The old man plucked his arm hard, lowered his voice, and kept pleading.  There was also a large bundle of scraps lying at her feet.  Beer bottles, old newspapers, crushed cans.  Tie them together with fishing nets and carry them on one end of the pole.

"But our library has regulations and we really can't let you in like this!" The guard refused to get out of the way, blocking the passers-by while avoiding the passers-by who turned around frequently. His young and clean face was almost red, "In this way,  Can you go back and change your clothes before coming back?"

The old man clapped his thighs anxiously, "How far is it to run back? You all know that I just pick up some rags to sell, not a beggar¡ª¡ª"

    "Grandma"

No longer looking at them, Xu Han looked back at the textbook spread out on his lap, following the tip of the pen with his eyes, crossing the lines of text bit by bit.

She didn¡¯t notice when the person sitting next to her stood up.

In spring, the sun is shining brightly, and flowers are in full bloom in the fields. White pear blossoms, pink peach blossoms, and golden rapeseed flowers exude a rich fragrance

"Don't argue yet, don't argue yet -" Another female voice interrupted the argument, "Old lady, this little brother also plays by the rules. I think he is in a difficult situation. Otherwise, I think you and I are about the same height.  , let¡¯s go to the public restroom over there and change our clothes, and then you can go in and borrow books, which will save you the time of running home, okay?¡±

The movement of the index finger paused, Xu Han held his breath and listened carefully.

"Okay, okaythank you, girl." The old man breathed a sigh of relief and thanked him repeatedly.

The guard's tone also softened: "Thank you, eldest sister." After a pause, he suddenly exclaimed, "Wu Suo¡ª¡ª"

Xu Han quietly turned his head and looked over, and saw the woman's face.

Slightly fat oval face, big eyes, thick earlobes.  She was wearing casual clothes. She was supporting the old man with her left hand and grabbing something with her right hand. She was raising a finger to her mouth and motioning the guard to keep quiet with a smile.  Then she put the thing in her pocket and smiled at him: "I'll talk to you later."

Xu Han put away his pen and textbook, put on his schoolbag, and left without saying a word.

She saw clearly what was in the woman's hand.  It was a work permit, green leather, with the words "Public Security" printed on it.

    It¡¯s a policeman.

???????? I haven¡¯t updated on my physical discomfort in the past few days

After that, I will try to update every day as much as possible, because I have to start preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination and the undergraduate examination, so I will have to retreat from about April.  I will finish this article before going into retreat.

I mentioned something before, in the chapter "Apple".  Xu Han and Xu Lian were exposed to the Bible.  This is actually also foreshadowing.

The policewoman who just appeared was a turning point in Xu Han's fate.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com)??, so I will have to retreat from about April.  I will finish this article before going into retreat.
