    ?

As the saying goes: An old family is like a treasure.  This is indeed true. With his rich life experience, the old man can indeed give great help to the younger generation.  Especially in rural areas where traditional customs are paid more attention to, the presence of old people is generally indispensable for important events such as wedding and funeral etiquette, otherwise many things will not know how to operate them.  Although the elderly are physically exhausted and unable to help with things by themselves, they can often play a huge role like a brain center because of their rich social experience.  Therefore, in the process of handling my father's funeral affairs, I have to sincerely thank the eighty-year-old man in my family who is my peer.

After figuring out the specific function of the round mirror, the two painters stepped up to paint with confidence.  They are still very convinced by the well-informed old man next to them. Therefore, in their opinion, if there is anything wrong with the painting process, the old man who is watching will definitely remind them in time.

After the wooden coffin is painted, the next thing to do is to paste golden characters on the front of the coffin.  At the top, "Citizens of the People's Republic of China" is written horizontally to indicate the nationality and identity of the funeral;  This indicates who set it up and the name of the burial person, and sometimes the place of residence and longevity, and even the reason for death, but the number of words is particular and must be guaranteed to be an odd number, so on the father's coffin  The word "zhi" is not added. If it is written as "the coffin of", then the number of words will be doubled; at the bottom, use the same size font as the top to indicate the date of death of the burial.  After all the gold letters are pasted, the painter's work is considered to be truly completed.

The burial custom of the Chinese nation has a long history, and you may think that it is an act of extreme waste of resources.  However, before cremation was generally accepted by people, burial, compared with exposing corpses in the wilderness, still played a certain role in limiting the spread and spread of diseases.  Furthermore, it is precisely because of the burial, under the combined effect of some special techniques and special circumstances, that people today can excavate ancient tombs one after another.  This has brought great help to our understanding of the living habits of the ancients.  Many major breakthroughs in history actually benefited from the excavation of some major ancient tombs.  It is no exaggeration to say that burials have preserved a large amount of historical information for human beings.  The ancient tombs that have survived to this day have actually become an important medium for traveling through time and space to realize the dialogue between ancient and modern times.  Burial has played an immeasurable role in promoting the development of archaeology and even history as a whole.

As the saying goes, everything has pros and cons. When we strongly criticize the burial customs for wasting resources and polluting the environment, we must not forget the great historical achievements of burial.  However, with the progress of society, some old burial techniques have almost disappeared.  It is said that in ancient times, there was a technique of mixing glutinous rice with other substances to form a special paste, and then use this paste to completely seal the wooden coffin underground.  After the paste is completely dry, its hardness will even exceed that of modern cement, and it has the functions of isolating air, moisture and moisture.  Therefore, under the comprehensive protection of this layer of dried paste, the buried wooden coffin can remain incorruptible for a long time.  Of course, this is just one of the many burial techniques of the ancients.  It is precisely because of the incomparable ingenuity of the ancients that we can often see many cultural relics unearthed hundreds or even thousands of years ago.  According to reports, the unearthed bronze sword from the Warring States period is not only rust-free, but also extremely sharp, and can easily cut paper of any thickness (the specific data is lost).

What now?  What can we present for future generations?  Nowadays, people's burial is simply to bury the wooden coffin containing the ashes directly in the ground. Due to the moisture of the soil, it may have been corroded in just a dozen years, let alone hundreds of years.  A hundred or hundreds of years later, when later generations excavate here again, they will definitely find nothing.  From this point of view, the burial of people now is really just a waste.

Perhaps, you will say, our family is not buried, but the urn is placed directly somewhere.  Let's not care about the historical value of such a simple urn, but in that place, can you guarantee that it will always exist?  It is estimated that after decades, this place will be demolished.  The urn, which has been left for a long time and no one cares about, can only face the tragic fate of being ruthlessly abandoned.

If human beings become extinct one day, even reinforced concrete cannot withstand the toss of time. After decades or hundreds of years, the entire city will disappear without leaving a trace.  You said, will there still be a columbarium dedicated to placing ashes?  In other words, the funeral customs of civilization today are generally fast-food-style, short-lived and lifeless.  It is impossible for such a funeral custom to leave anything to future generations after a hundred years, hundreds of years, or thousands of years.

The pyramids in Egypt are actually the huge tombs of the ancients.  After years of vicissitudes, it still stands today.  Under the ravages of the years, the ancient cities have long been wiped out, but the pyramids have been standing between the sky and the earth.  I think what they (pyramids) show to the world is not only the history of the ancients, but also a kind of reflection.

The pyramids are saying that even if human beings are extinct, they will still exist!  This is the pride of the ancients.  Although people nowadays claim to be technologically advanced, how many things can really stand the test of time.  If human beings are really extinct, then after all the scientific and technological achievements of human beings are completely extinct, the footprints of the ancients represented by the pyramids must still exist.  When the earth regenerates another group of highly intelligent organisms, all they can see is the survival history of our ancients. It is impossible for them to know that there will be a so-called "high-tech era" after these ancients.

People nowadays always claim that the society is developing and the times are progressing, but is this really the case?  Under the greedy demand with the powerful power of science and technology, the mother earth has become more and more overwhelmed, with the extinction of a large number of creatures and the sharp deterioration of the environment Could this be considered a kind of progress?  Perhaps, when human beings are complacent about social progress, they don't know that they have already embarked on the road of destruction.

Regression, or progress?  Before the critical moment, who can say for sure?  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
