    ?

At noon, my mother brought lunch over.  While my mother was looking at my father, I took the time to eat lunch.  Then, I came to my father's bedside again.

"I've worked hard for you these few days, go and rest for a while, I'm here." My mother said to me with some distress.

"Mom, I'm fine. Is brother-in-law coming tonight?" I asked vigorously.

"No, he's going to school tomorrow, and I'll come tonight." Mother replied.

"Then, you should go back and rest. You are busy at night." I knew my mother had the habit of taking a lunch break, so I said without hesitation.

Seeing my mother hesitated, without waiting for her to speak, I went on to say: "I didn't have anything to do last night. I slept well!"

"Alright, then I'll go outside and find a place to lie down for a while, and call me if I have anything to do." After thinking about it, my mother felt that it would be inappropriate to go directly to her sister's house to take a nap, so she found this compromise.  Solution.

"Okay, go to sleep. Usually nothing will happen." While urging my mother to rest, I also eased her heart by the way.  Lest the mother cannot sleep peacefully because of her worries.

Mother nodded without saying anything, and went directly to the corridor to find an empty extra bed to rest.

With experience, I know that my father will be in the infusion all day today.  I not only have to keep an eye on the infusion bottle, but also keep an eye on the changes in my father's complexion.  Because, I am afraid that an accident will happen.  I know that only by being vigilant at all times can problems be discovered in the first place and tragedies can be avoided.  It is precisely because of the high mental tension that I can miraculously maintain a vigorous spirit at noon when I didn't get much sleep last night.

At noon, most of the doctors and nurses have already left work, and only a few people are on duty at the nurse station.  Therefore, changing the liquid is not as timely as in the morning.  I remember, two times, after I pressed the alarm bell, I waited for several minutes, but no nurse came.  In desperation, I had no choice but to turn off the switch on the infusion tube.

"Why did you come so late this time?" I asked half jokingly.

"Sorry!" The nurse apologized with some embarrassment, and explained, "I can't help it, I'm here alone now, and there happened to be lights in several wards just now (after the ward pressed the prompt button, the nurse stood on the corresponding bed number)  The indicator light will be on, and music will be played at the same time as a reminder) will be on at the same time. No, I have to rush to other wards after the change is over!"

"Oh, I understand, I understand completely!" I smiled and said, "Go slowly (the nurse has already changed the infusion bottle with my father while talking), don't fall."

Hearing what I said, the mother of the young man on the bed in the south said quickly: "Don't rush to leave, our house is going to be easy to change. Now that you are so busy, why don't you help us change it first, so as to save you from running back and forth."

"I'm sorry, I didn't bring your (infusion bottle) with me. After the other two have been replaced, I'll come right away. Don't worry, depending on the situation, it will take several minutes for your family to change!" The nurse finished speaking,  He left in a hurry.  It seems that being on duty at noon is not an easy job.

Before it was two o'clock in the afternoon, my mother walked into the ward.

"Mom, I'm fine now, why don't you sleep more?" I asked puzzled.

"Sleep more? It's so noisy outside, how can I sleep?" Mother replied helplessly.

I know that quarreling is one aspect, but another aspect is worrying about my father.  If the father's condition has basically stabilized, then even if there is a little noise, the mother may be able to fall asleep.

Looking at each other and smiling wryly, my mother and I stopped talking, and just sat quietly by the side.  Accompanied by relatives, my father still fell asleep in a daze, even though his body was still full of pain.  After coming out of the intensive care unit, this was the first time that my father really slept (before, at most, he closed his eyes and rested his mind).  Looking at the sleeping father, I smiled, very happy.  Because, I know that sleep can not only relieve pain infinitely, but also refresh the mind.  For such a long time, although I haven't heard my father snort, I know that my father is actually in unbearable pain.  If it weren't for the perseverance that ordinary people can't match, the father would definitely be humming and whining from time to time like the boy's father.  Now, my father has finally fallen asleep, and finally got rid of the piercing pain from all over his body temporarily. Do you think I can be unhappy?  In addition, sleeping can refresh the mind, and with a good spirit, father can better recover his body.

Although my father fell asleep, I didn't slack off in the slightest.  I know that it is precisely because my father is asleep that he is not able to "report" his physical condition at any time as he is awake.  Now, everything can only be done by myselfOnly by careful observation can we know.  It can be said that my father fell asleep, which is of great benefit to himself, but it adds to the difficulty of nursing for me.

Of course, not all the people in the ward are as nervous as me.  Just like the old lady on the hospital bed in the north, she just had a leg injury, which was not life-threatening.  Therefore, nurses, doctors and family members do not value it very much.  The nurse usually doesn't come over until nearly ten o'clock to infuse her, usually only two to three bottles, and the infusion will be finished within three hours at the most.  Therefore, the old lady's son, that is, the middle-aged man, usually only guards the old lady during the infusion.  Even when guarding, it is by no means as cautious as I am.  The rest of the time, he either chats with people, or just watches TV or newspapers.

Father fell asleep in the sound of TV.  It was still daytime at that time, so I naturally couldn't ask others not to watch TV.  My main focus was on my father.  There was a heart-pounding voice ringing in my ears. If it was normal, I would definitely not be able to resist watching my favorite TV show.  But now, I can only do my best to force the alluring voice out of my ears.  At that time, I sat at the end of the bed with my back to the TV and my father.  I didn't turn my head around in a daze, and even glanced at the TV.  Because, I am very afraid that I will be addicted to TV programs and get distracted.  I will never allow myself to make even the slightest mistake.

The mother is illiterate and has not spent much time in the hospital, so she lacks certain basic common sense and has little experience in caring for patients.  From my mother's point of view, since my father came out of the intensive care unit, the most dangerous period has passed.  Sitting at the head of the bed, my mother only looked at the infusion bottle once in a while when she saw that her father was asleep. The rest of the time she was chatting or watching TV.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
