    ??

After hanging up the phone, Meng Yao pulled the zipper of his jacket and raised the collar to look warmer.

On the grass, Zhou Hao stretched out the moisture-proof cloth under his feet. Looking at Meng Yao's approaching figure, the light in his eyes became brighter and brighter, just like a gambler finally seeing hope, full of hope.  Determined to win.

Meng Yao looked around as he walked. This place was in the center of the community, so he would meet a few people on the road from time to time. Even on the grass next to Zhou Hao, residents could be seen chatting in twos and threes.

So, you are absolutely safe here.

Judging from Zhou Hao's cautious character, he would not do anything to himself unless he was absolutely sure.

After sorting things out, Meng Yao lazily walked to him, still looking indifferent to him.

Facing Zhou Hao¡¯s gentle smile, Meng Yao expressed her displeasure frankly.

"Zhou Hao, what do you want to do? Why do you always linger around? I can see you wherever I go."

Her shameless words made Zhou Hao's smile freeze on his face. Then he looked at her and smiled indifferently, but the look in his eyes changed a bit.

"I'm sorry for causing trouble to you, but I really like you."

Then, he looked at her affectionately and said in a soft voice, "Yaoyao, you may not believe it."

¡°Ever since the first time I saw you in the bar that night, I couldn¡¯t control my love for you.¡±

Then, he handed one of the bottles of water to Meng Yao casually, turned around and sat down on the moisture-proof cloth, opened the other bottle of water and took a few sips.

Looking at the mineral water in his hand, Meng Yao raised the corners of his mouth in mockery and disdain, then sat down cross-legged not far from him, leaning back to look at the stars in the sky.

"It's great that you can still see such beautiful stars in the suburbs. If you were in the city, you probably wouldn't be able to see even one star. Everything there is decorated with colorful stars."

Listening to Meng Yao¡¯s little mouth muttering, Zhou Hao¡¯s smile never stopped.

The night was getting darker and darker, and when they were the only two people walking on the grass, Meng Yao picked up the mineral water and took a sip, then stood up and waved to him.

"Okay, I won't say anything if you refuse. I don't like men who stalk you. That will make me look down on you even more."

After watching her walk a certain distance, Zhou Hao slowly stood up and followed her.

"It's very late now, let me take you back."

"It's not safe for a girl like you to walk in these dark places. From now on, try to go out with as few people as possible at night."

As he spoke, he walked to Meng Yao in a few strides.

Meng Yao stopped and turned to look at him. After taking a few more drinks, she spoke calmly.

"Don't worry, I bought the house in this community because the security here is strong enough. Besides, I'm not a soft persimmon."

Raising her thin arms, she said bold words and gestures while walking, "I am a policeman after all. I can still deal with one or two little bastards."

    "Don't worry, I'm not afraid."

Looking at her charming profile against the light, the smile on Zhou Hao's face became more and more obvious. He looked at her like a hungry wolf looking at a fat sheep.

But it¡¯s still unclear who is the wolf and who is the sheep!

After leaving the activity area, the parking lot next to the unit building just appeared in front of their eyes. Meng Yao suddenly felt weak under his feet, and his head swayed twice.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
