Wei Changning stayed in Dali Temple for three days before returning home. The Marquis of Wei's Mansion didn't seem to know about her return to Chang'an.  As soon as she returned, she was called to the study by the Marquis.  Yuan An looked at her worriedly, but she smiled and asked him to wait outside.

The study room was like a prison in Dali Temple. Wei Changning felt dull every time he went there.  Marquis Weiguo seemed to know that she would be back today and was waiting for her with a smile.

Wei Changning felt chilled by his pretending to be a fatherly smile.  Since her rebirth, the memories in her mind have been awakened. From Wei Huaishen's indifference when she was young to his disgust three years ago, she still doesn't understand why her father hates his child.

"You have come back just in time. My father has arranged your marriage for you."

Wei Changning looked at him, his eyes darkened, and said, "Who has father chosen? But is it rumored to be the legitimate daughter of the Lu family, Yushi Lu?"

After the marriage was settled, Wei Huaishen felt deeply comfortable in his heart. His face was full of pride, as if a boulder had fallen for many days. He nodded and said, "Yes, his girl is gentle and graceful, and she is a perfect match for you."

Wei Changning felt disgusted for no reason, and said: "In my opinion, it's not that he is suitable for me, but that the Lu family's ten thousand taels of silver makes my father feel comfortable."

"You're outrageous!" Wei Huaishen shouted angrily, feeling embarrassed, his cheek muscles twitching with anger, and he raised his hand to hit someone.

There were only two people in the room, so Wei Changning would not suffer any loss. He avoided the incoming slap, moved slightly, and said with a smile: "Father, do you know that I received a case in Dali Temple, which is related to my mother, and I am preparing to directly deal with it."  Pass it up and it will be sent to His Majesty's imperial desk tomorrow."

Wei Huaishen's slap failed, and he was about to call for someone to take down this traitor. When he heard these words, he stopped and looked at her suspiciously.

Wei Changning smiled like a spring breeze, but Wei Huaishen felt that there must be sinister intentions hidden under that gentle and jade-like skin. He turned cold and said, "What do you mean?"

"Someone sent Uncle Wei Ming to Dali Temple, and attached a series of evidence, as well as the testimony of the murder last year, which was put on the desk of Dali Temple. Therefore, I took over the case. It was not until the first trial that I found out that it was murder.  The mastermind behind this is the mother." Wei Changning put the testimony obtained by Wei Mingchu on Wei Huaishen's desk.

It happened again last year. Wei Huaishen hurriedly took it and took a look. He was so angry that he couldn't speak. Wei Ming had left Chang'an a long time ago, and he was caught and sent back again. It must have something to do with Han Yuan.

He was so angry that he tore up the black and white writing on the paper and stared at Wei Changning angrily, as if he was an enemy and not his child.

Wei Changning looked extremely calm, but his eyes were tinged with anger. He said kindly to him: "It's useless to tear it up. The testimony is made in triplicate. One copy will be archived in Dali Temple and one copy will be sent to His Majesty. If father feels it is not enough, I can  If the testimony is printed, everyone in Chang'an City can have a copy."

Wei Huaishen was so angry that he couldn't say anything anymore. He pointed at her and cursed: "Sir, you are going to rebel. You went to Dali Temple for a few days and then came back to threaten your father. Are you going to eat up your filial piety?"

Wei Changning was extremely cold-hearted. If filial piety hadn't been at the top of his head, the confession would have already reached His Majesty. By then, it would not be Wei Jun who would be implicated, but Wei Huaishen.  She did not care about the title of Marquis of Weiguo, so she suppressed her hatred and said, "My father has no love for me in his heart, and Chang Geng has no filial piety in his heart."

The soft words made Wei Huaishen aggravated. He picked up the pen on the desk to wash it and threw it at it. He banged it on the door and cursed: "You traitor, believe it or not, I will remove your title of Crown Prince of the Marquis of Wei State."

The guard commander Ning Lang laughed a few times and said: "Tomorrow has passed, father, do you believe that there is still a palace of the Duke of Wei? Assassinating me is a trivial matter, but the Taifu's attendants caught the assassin, it was the Nanya Imperial Army, and they all obeyed uncle Wei Ming  If you want to assassinate me, do you think His Majesty is so angry that the title of the Marquis of Wei will still be there?"

Wei Huaisheng said angrily: "Wei Guofu has been defeated. Do you think you will have a good life?"

Wei Changning opened the door and let the faint sunlight shine in, falling on the floor tiles and dispersing the invisible filth.  She turned around and said, "Since you claim to give up the title to others, what should I miss? Father, I will consider it myself and give my son an answer before the court tomorrow morning as to who the Lu family will marry. I think after tomorrow, the Lu family will also take the initiative.  Break off the engagement and ask you to get back the money that was used to finance you."

Wei Huaishen was so angry that he scolded his adopted son for being unfilial. He was afraid that his servants would hear him, so he had to hold back his anger and go to the main courtyard to discuss with Wei Jun.

    *****

Mrs. Fang was overjoyed when she saw her son come back. She asked the kitchen to cook a lot of her favorite food while helping her change her clothes.  His eyes fell on the black robe on her body, he looked at the stitching and said, "Where did the prince get this robe?"

"Clothes store." Wei Changning replied, Mr. Jun said he bought it from a garments store.

I heard that they specialize in making clothes.Back.  "

The Taifu is now different from what he used to be. If he doesn't want his brother to come back, he will definitely stop him. The affairs of the Jun family are also very complicated, but Jun Qi can solve them himself and will not hinder Wei Changning.

Hearing what she said, Mrs. Mu Guogong was also very relaxed. There was only one Taifu in the Jun family, so the simple relationship was also beneficial to Wei Changning.  There are many relatives in the Wei Mansion, but no one can think of helping Wei Changning, so it would be better not to.

After the banquet, Mu Ke took Wei Changning to talk about things, while Mu Guogong left the Taifu behind. Naturally, she wanted to do what Wei Huaishen couldn't do.  There are no elders in the Jun family, so everything still needs to be discussed with Jun Qi, including the three books, six etiquettes, and the wedding date.

Jun Qi lowered his profile. He was a junior in front of the Duke's wife and would listen to everything.  She didn't understand either. She was confused when she got married to King Dai.  Even though it was in a hurry, Dai Wangfu arranged everything very properly, and nothing made her uncomfortable.

By the time Wei Changning returned to the hall, the marriage had been discussed almost, except for the troublesome betrothal gift, which still required the intervention of Marquis Wei Guo.

Wei Changning knew clearly in her heart that if Wei Huai was careful not to cause any obstacles, she would be overjoyed.  The Hou Mansion had just gone through a catastrophe, and I was afraid that there really was no money to give her.  But she didn't want it, so she said: "My mother's dowry is still there, grandma, don't worry, it's getting late, I'll take the master back home."

Jun Qi also stood up and said goodbye to his host. Wei Changning rode a few steps on horseback. After thinking about it, he got into the Jun's carriage.

Jun Qi expected that she would come in, so he kept waiting for her. When the car curtain opened, Wei Changning said: "Sir, I have something to tell you."
