Chapter 5193 Continuous Questioning

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

After Lin Rui and others were taken away, they were imprisoned in a secret area where outsiders were prohibited from entering.

But the French were quite polite, at least they didn¡¯t do anything to them other than asking.

Chrisman was troubled by this incident and had a headache. Lin Rui and others were all experienced veterans.  This group of mercenaries didn't even care about life or death, and intimidation had almost no effect on them.

You even have to eat, drink, smoke, and drink.  If you are not satisfied at all, you will scold your mother.

I questioned them all day and night, but found out nothing.

The people responsible for the interrogation have been changed several times, but nothing has been achieved.

Chrisman was at a loss in the office.  Seeing one of his colleagues walking in from outside, he hurriedly greeted him, "How did it turn out? Did you get any clues?"

His companion shook his head, "Nothing. These people are too difficult to deal with. Many of them have been trained in counter-interrogation.

Sometimes he knows what we want to do as soon as we open our mouth.  I've never seen such a difficult person, so I guess I can't be too polite.  "

Chrisman shook his head in disappointment, "Now we have no evidence. It's easy to execute them, but these people have deep connections with the Americans and even Russia."

¡°And they are considered powerful in Africa. If we don¡¯t have any definite evidence, it¡¯s best not to do this.

Because once we torture them and it is found out that the matter has nothing to do with them, it will not end well.

¡°And these are all desperadoes. If you offend them, God knows if they will take revenge after they are released.  "

"Do we still care about this?" the intelligence officer frowned.

"They are local snakes living in Africa, and they are related in all aspects. I don't want to completely fall out with them before the matter is figured out." Chrisman shook his head.

"Then we can't just continue to imprison them and find no breakthrough from them." The intelligence officer shook his head and said, "The higher ups attach great importance to this matter, and now we are under great pressure."

"Of course I know. Forget it, I'd better go talk to him again." Chrisman sighed.

Arriving at the interrogation room, Chrisman poured Lin Rui a cup of coffee.

¡°I¡¯m sorry to have taken you so long, Mr. Rick.

But you also have to understand that this matter is very important.  If you can't get rid of your own doubts, I'm afraid this situation will continue.

Actually, we all hope it ends soon.  If you tell me everything honestly.  Good for both of us.  Chrisman sighed.

"I told you a long time ago that we have nothing to do with this matter. No matter what you think, it is your own business. We have no obligation to cooperate with you." Lin Rui shook his head, "Instead of locking us up  Instead of wasting time here, think about how to catch those who stole nuclear materials."

Chrisman looked at Lin Rui, was silent for a moment and said, "Then are you willing to tell me? Why did you leave that hotel suddenly?"

"Because I felt that the conditions of that hotel were not good. But after going out for a walk, I found that this hotel was better. So I went back and checked into the hotel again." Lin Rui spread his hands and looked helpless.  .

"This is not true at all. You must have done something. Tell me, what exactly did you do?" Chrisman stared at Lin Rui.  "Mr. Rick, I've always been very polite to you.

But our patience is limited. If you can no longer tell the truth, we may have to do something that makes us both unhappy.  "

"Extorting a confession through torture?" Lin Rui shook his head, "Actually, I don't think it's necessary. And I think you'd better not do this to my men.

Now they are still my employees and they still listen to what I say.  But if they resign in the future, I won't be able to restrain them.

¡°If they want to seek revenge on you in the future, there will be nothing I can do.  You have to understand that they are a bunch of villains, thugs and murderers.

The reason why I hired them is very simple, because they are vicious enough.  "

¡°Our surveillance shows that it was already past four o¡¯clock in the afternoon when you left the hotel. You didn¡¯t come back until the next day to check in again.

Where have you been during this time?  Chrisman asked.

"Where did we go? You should have found out. With your intelligence capabilities, you can find out these things easily. Why bother asking me again?" Lin Rui smiled.

"I?I found out that you left in a taxi.  But he got off the car again midway.  According to my experience, you must have changed to other vehicles midway.  "Chrisman looked at Lin Rui.

    Lin Rui was noncommittal.

Chrisman continued, "Then I called Cairo's city surveillance system and spent a few hours querying it. Gradually, we found some things.

According to our speculation, the vehicle you were traveling in settled in an abandoned factory near the suburbs.

Then we thoroughly investigated the abandoned factory.  It was found that there were indeed traces of useful activity inside.

¡°So, you went to that abandoned factory building.  "

Chrisman looked at Lin Rui, "Am I right?"

"Since you think you are right, we should be released. We did go to the abandoned factory, but it is not illegal.

It also proves that we have nothing to do with the attack you mentioned.  Lin Rui replied.

¡°You wouldn¡¯t just stay in a comfortable hotel and spend the night in an abandoned factory for no reason, right?

There must be a reason for you to do this.  Did you go to meet someone?

What did you talk to that person about?  Is the content discussed related to the hijacking of this batch of nuclear materials?  That's what I need to focus on.  Chrisman snapped.

"Why do you have to connect us with some terrorists? Have you ever thought that maybe this is a dead end on your own.

Trying to find some kind of connection among unrelated things.  Why not try it from another angle.  Lin Rui replied.

"How to try? You are the important suspects in this incident. I have reason to suspect that you are colluding with a terrorist." Chrisman said sharply.

¡°Look, man, this is your problem. You started by assuming that we were related to terrorists. That¡¯s why you kept pressuring us and questioning us.

Have you ever considered that this matter has nothing to do with us?  Your French official was killed and his wife disappeared.

Why don¡¯t you investigate his wife instead of investigating us?  Since that officer knew some sensitive intelligence information.

"So, could it be that after his wife got the information from him, she sold some information to the terrorists, and then found someone to kill him?" Lin Rui spread his hands and said.
