Chapter 4991 Confidential Meeting

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

The next day, people from Morocco came on time.  Their itinerary was extremely confidential. Even Lin Rui and others did not know who was coming before arriving.

It wasn¡¯t until they met in the conference room that Lin Rui realized that the people who came were all big shots.  There were not many people, but they were all senior military officials.

¡°Among them are Morocco¡¯s new minister Mr. Elliott, and some whom Lin Rui has dealt with before, such as General Evans and others.

But there was one of them that Lin Rui had never seen before.  What makes this man special is that he is wearing a military uniform.

But this military uniform is obviously not from the Moroccan military.  So he looks a little different from this group of generals and ministers.

Lin Rui felt that this person looked familiar, but he couldn't remember it at all.

So he frowned slightly and asked, "This gentleman is"

Minister Elliot nodded, "You two have never met before, let me introduce you. This is General Cloverkill, a major general of the British Army."

    "British?" Lin Rui frowned slightly.

"This General Cloverkill was originally the head of the British Forces in Kenya. He was recently transferred to the Joint Counter-Terrorism Force." Minister Elliott replied, "This one is"

"No introduction is needed, I have heard of Mr. Rick." General Cloverkill smiled and extended his hand to Lin Rui.  "The boss of Trident Military Resources."

Lin Rui shook hands with him.  After everyone sat down, Minister Elliott smiled and said, "Mr. Rick may find it strange that the way we meet seems a bit unusual.

But next, what I want to say is that our meeting was conducted in extreme confidentiality.  There will be no written record of anything mentioned in our meetings.  Any agreement we reach or anything discussed at the meeting is completely off-limits.

Does Mr. Rick have any questions?  "

"Of course not." Lin Rui nodded.  "But I want to know why? What are we talking about when we're so secretive?"

"Mr. Rick, when we first hired you, we hoped that you could use the Western Sahara militia to reduce our anti-terrorism pressure in Western Sahara.

You have done a very good job in this regard. Not only did you assist General Quinn, you also launched a series of anti-terrorism operations in the Western Sahara region.

¡°And he also assisted us and won the trust of General Hassan.  The local armed organizations in Western Sahara currently led by General Quinn and General Hassan have achieved a series of significant results in anti-terrorism operations.

We¡¯re pretty sure you¡¯re doing a great job.  Minister Elliot nodded.

Lin Rui nodded, "Mr. Minister, we have signed a contract. You are our customer, and customer satisfaction is our aim."

"But." Minister Elliott said in a low voice, "What I want to say is that some things have developed beyond our expectations."

"Like what? Terrorist activities are getting more and more rampant?" Lin Rui asked.

"This is just one of them, and we believe this is just a superficial phenomenon. There may be a larger conspiracy contained in it." Minister Elliott nodded.

"What's the conspiracy about?" Lin Rui frowned.

"We believe there is nothing wrong with General Hassan. But we suspect that there are others colluding with terrorists. Our confidential information has been betrayed many times, which has led to a series of failures in our operations."

The most suspicious person among them is General Quinn.  ¡± explained Minister Elliott.

"Quinn?" Lin Rui said in shock, "Are you telling me that Quinn might be colluding with terrorists?"

"I'm afraid this has been confirmed." Minister Elliott sighed, "We believe that Quinn colluded with terrorists and betrayed our intelligence many times."

"Wait, wait." Lin Rui waved his hand, "Let us clarify something first. General Quinn is a person sent by your Moroccan military.

As far as I know, he is a person that your military trusts very much. You sent him to appear in the name of the local armed forces in Western Sahara to lead the militia to resist terrorists.  Let me cooperate with him fully.

Now you are telling me that he might be a terrorist?  "

"It's a pity, Mr. Rick. We already have the relevant evidence. Quinn was indeed sent by us, and his performance has been excellent.

But now we have multiple pieces of evidence pointing to the possibility that he has been bribed by terrorists.  They may even be high-level terrorists themselves.  Minister Elliott sighed.

"Nonsense. General Quinn is indeed a bit old-fashioned, but I think his loyalty to Morocco is unquestionable." Lin Rui shook his head.  ¡°We have worked together many times and it is enough to prove that there is nothing wrong with General Quinn.

I don¡¯t know where you got the news, but I think such news may not be accurate.  "

"Mr. Rick, listen to me first. I had the same reaction as you before. I didn't believe that General Quinn could be a spy.

But the fact is that we already have a lot of evidence, and a lot of the evidence has corroborated each other.  "Minister Elliot explained, "The intelligence obtained by General Cloverkill and our intelligence corroborate each other.

The final conclusion was that General Quinn was the terrorist.  And it is very likely that he himself is a senior member of the Jihad Alliance.  "

General Cloverkill nodded, "Two months ago, we raided the lair of a group of Jihadi Alliance terrorists and obtained some very valuable information.

These information show that there is a high-level member of the Jihad Alliance code-named Tiger Shark, who has been providing military information to the Jihad Alliance.

Most of the information is very sensitive and contains counter-terrorism intelligence in the Western Sahara region.  After our research, this information cannot be grasped by outsiders.

There is a lot of information that only General Quinn knows.  Because this information was reported directly to General Quinn from the Moroccan command headquarters.

There are no unnecessary links in the middle.  Nor could anyone else leak this information.

?Including the time a few months ago when Moroccan anti-terrorism forces suffered heavy losses.  Someone also secretly disclosed the information to the terrorists.  "

Lin Rui shook his head, "I know Quinn. He is a traditional soldier. He follows the rules, and he follows the rules too much. So sometimes he is a bit old-fashioned.

¡°But you want to say that he colluded with terrorists and betrayed Moroccan intelligence.  I absolutely won't believe it.

¡°In addition, I also think it is very unreasonable for you to question Quinn as a traitor based on some scraps of information obtained from terrorists.  "

General Cloverkill shook his head, "Mr. Rick, I understand your feelings. But in fact, we have obtained more than just this intelligence.

I have another piece of intelligence here, which points out that General Quinn is likely to be a high-ranking member of the Jihad Alliance.  "
