    About two days later.  Mr. K came again, and he directly found Lin Rui with a stern expression.

    "Rick, I hope you tell the truth. Where did the information you received come from?" Mr. K looked at Shen Linrui.

    "It's an email. I don't know where it came from. What are the results of your investigation?" Lin Rui looked at him and asked.

    "After our investigation, we did not find any valuable information." Mr. K shook his head.

    "I want to hear the truth." Lin Rui interrupted him.

    "I'm telling the truth. I took someone to check it out in person, and there is indeed nothing wrong with it on the surface." Mr. K replied.

    "Come on. If nothing happened, you wouldn't be so eager to find me and ask me about the exact source of this information." Lin Rui shook his head.  "You must have discovered something, but you refused to tell me."

    ¡°The base on Diego Garcia has recently been undergoing an upgrade. Suspects are typically interrogated on Diego Garcia as part of the CIA¡¯s extradition efforts. Other investigative agencies have long been barred from visiting the island.

    The military believes that the base¡¯s defense lacks a unified combat management system that can coordinate multiple defense sensors and weapons.  So it was decided to upgrade the facilities there.

    The Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments advocates using a salvo defense system to protect overseas bases.  One solution is a double defense ring consisting of an outer ring and an inner ring.  The outer ring includes satellites and drones equipped with sensors.

    A unified combat command system would link sensors to manned aircraft and interceptor-equipped drones, which would be responsible for shooting down ballistic missiles during their boost phase when they are most vulnerable, as well as enemy aircraft before they can launch cruise missiles.  .

    The inner ring is similar, but will add drones, ground-based air defense equipment equipped with high-energy lasers, land-based high-energy microwave weapons that can scorch missile electronics with beams, and even Army howitzers that fire high-speed projectiles.

    This plan was proposed two years ago, but it is only now being implemented.  The signal you received is exactly after the US military is preparing to upgrade the defense of Diego Garcia Island.

    The USS Ashland amphibious assault ship is one of them.  The USS Ashland conducts military operations aimed at capturing members of Al Qaeda.

    Somali, Kenyan and Ethiopian troops have arrested many terror suspects, and some believed to be from the FBI and our CIA often interrogate those arrested.

    The prisoners may be interrogated aboard the Ashland or other ships anchored in the Gulf of Aden.  "

    "You mean there is a ship there that was converted into a prison?" Lin Rui looked at him in surprise.

    "Yes. I've been on the ship, and there were about 50 prisoners when I went there. They were kept in the bottom of the ship It was like what you see on TV. The people on the ship were beaten more than in Guantanamo.  It's much worse in prison." Mr. K nodded.

    "You locked the terrorist suspect on the ship." Lin Rui whispered.

      "Yes. Currently, there are at least 26,000 people detained in secret prisons without trial. Intelligence shows that since 2001, as many as 80,000 people have gone through a similar system." Mr. K was a little helpless,  "We choose ships to hold prisoners in order to keep some of our inappropriate behavior as far away from media and lawyer supervision as possible. You should understand the reason for this."

    "No wonder you don't want to say it. This has always been a scandal to you." Lin Rui smiled.

    "Even so. But you should also understand that sometimes you should use some means to deal with those terrorists." Mr. K shook his head.
