Lin Rui smiled, picked up the gun, and explained to Bamley.  ¡°In 1907, the U.S. military began inviting bids to develop .45 large-caliber revolvers and semi-automatic pistols as its new generation of standard pistols.

The famous Colt Company also participated in this tender. The m1910 semi-automatic pistol it submitted passed the selection test with its simple structure, durability, safety and reliability.

Under the further improvement requirements of the U.S. military, Colt¡¯s new model gun participated in the U.S. military¡¯s new round of pistol selection in 1911. With its outstanding performance, it defeated all opponents and won the military standard pistol contract.  In the same year, the U.S. military officially adopted the gun and named it the m1911 pistol. It was equipped with troops in April 1912 and became the first semi-automatic pistol equipped by the U.S. military.

This is the traditional m1911 pistol. This model of pistol experienced World War II and the Vietnam War.  Until 1985, the US military decided to replace the m1911a1 with the 9mm caliber m9 automatic pistol produced by Beretta.

When the congressional order was promulgated, the U.S. Marine Corps strongly opposed it, but many special forces within the three armed forces continued to use the m1911 pistol as a auxiliary weapon. Many people believed that the m1911 pistol was the best combat pistol.

Nowadays, various m1911 pistols are still produced by many companies.  Although the standard pistol of the U.S. Army is the 9mmx19 M9 pistol, in fact, the elite U.S. special forces fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan still use the M1911 pistol that is almost exactly the same as the one designed a century ago.  "

"I know a little bit about this, but what about the Desert Warriors?" Bamre said hesitantly.

"The so-called Desert Warrior model is a government-type m1911 pistol produced by Kimber Company. It is specially customized for the elite naval task force under the U.S. Special Operations Command, so it has some characteristics that the traditional m1911 does not have." Lin Rui  explained to Bamley.

"I have seen m1911 before, but I don't seem to see any difference." Bamley said a little confused.

"This starts with Kimber Company. Kimber Company is a small company established in New York in 1979 that mainly manufactures sporting rifles and shotguns.

In 1996, Kimber Company began to get involved in the field of m1911 pistol manufacturing.  Initially, its products were semi-manufactured, with low output, high prices and high quality, just like Rolls-Royce in the field of automobile production.

Due to the excellent quality of Kimber's m1911 pistols, it has established a good reputation in the American gun industry; after several years of development and growth of the company, Kimber has now become the undisputed overlord in the m1911 pistol market.

The type and quantity of m1911 pistols developed by Kimber Company dominate the North American market, and they have become the world's largest manufacturer of m1911 pistols.

Kimber Company relies on the excellent production quality and high reliability of its pistols in actual combat.  The Desert Warrior pistol is one of them.

You see, the magazine opening of this gun is a bevel to facilitate magazine replacement.  The steel beavertail grip safety is hollow to reduce the weight of the pistol.  There is a small protrusion on the bottom of the grip safety to ensure that if the user does not depress the grip safety, the trigger cannot be pulled.

Compared with the traditional m1911 pistol, the beavertail grip safety of the Desert Warrior has improvements in design.  The top of the grip safety can fully lock the hammer after it is knocked down, which can prevent the fallen hammer and slide seat from pinching the user's hand holding the gun during shooting.

And the grip safety of the Desert Warrior is thinner than the traditional m1911 pistol, so that the centerline of the shooter's grip is closer to the gun bore, which can reduce the shooter's perceived recoil and increase shooting speed and accuracy.  Lin Rui explained to Bamley while pointing at the various parts of the gun.

Bamley nodded repeatedly when he heard this. He himself didn¡¯t know that this gun had so many things to say.

Lin Rui smiled and said, "Actually, these are all details. You can't tell if you don't look carefully. And some invisible features are the real core of this gun."

"Oh?" Bamley asked quickly, "What is it?"

Lin Rui quickly disassembled the pistol completely, leaving Bamley stunned.

Lin Rui pointed at a pile of parts on the table and said, "There are some small parts with complex shapes on the Desert Warrior pistol, such as the hammer, sear, short-stock hanger, single-shot lever, grip safety, manual safety and rear sight, etc.  All are manufactured by metal powder molding process.

This processing technology was developed by NASA and was first used in the manufacture of Kimber¡¯s Model 82 .22 caliber rimfire rifle.

This processing technology is to inject chromium alloy steel metal powder mixed with a polymer carrier into a large mold. During the sintering process, the polymer is precipitated at high temperature and causes the remaining chromium alloy steel to shrink to a pre-calculated size.

The molecular density of firearm parts produced through this process is much higher than that of conventional production.Parts produced by ?? process.  After another heat treatment process, its strength is much higher than that of conventionally produced parts.

The parts of this pistol have a service life of at least tens of thousands of rounds, which is much longer than that of the conventional m1911 pistol.  The firearms experts who reviewed this gun fired thousands of rounds of various types of ammunition through Kimber Desert Warriors without a single firearm malfunction.

So you are not wrong to say in general terms that this is an m1911 pistol.  But in fact, it is a special model among m1911 pistols, which is quite rare.  "

Bamley watched in surprise. Lin Rui completely assembled the pistol and handed it to him. He couldn't put it down while holding the pistol.

"This is really a good gun, Captain Bamley." Lin Rui smiled.

"Mr. Rick is really well-informed. I only knew that this gun was an m1911 model, but I didn't know there were so many details." Bamley was playing with the pistol in his hand with some joy.

"Most people may not know the difference, but we are in this business. Different products have different prices.

If I sell the Desert Warrior as an ordinary m1911 pistol, or other inferior imitation m1911 pistols, I will lose my money.  "Lin Rui shrugged his shoulders.

Bamlay, the village chief and others laughed together. They felt that the arms dealer was at least an honest person.

Lin Rui looked at it and changed the topic, "It seems that Captain Bamley may still have doubts about my identity, so he deliberately asked me a question. In fact, it is no wonder, after all, it is the first time  Meet."

Bamley was a little embarrassed, but still shook his head, "That's not entirely true. I really don't know that this gun has so many origins."

"Then, let's get back to business. I wonder if you have any needs for arms?" Lin Rui blinked.

Bamre thought for a while and said, "We want American equipment, mainly rifles and grenades, and preferably a rocket launcher."

"All American equipment? This is not cheap. And I can't give you a big discount on American equipment. Why don't you choose cheaper Soviet and Russian equipment?" Lin Rui deliberately tried.
