It uses 6-barrel 20mm m61a1 Gatling cannons to fire armor-piercing discarding sabots (APDS), with a rate of fire of approximately 3,000-  4,500 rounds per minute, 989 rounds of ammunition stored, and a range of about 1,500 meters.  This weapon was originally designed to deal with missiles. Its powerful overlapping interception firepower can very effectively intercept incoming high-speed targets.
