General Leanson turned around. He clenched his fists and dug his nails into his palms, making him feel pain.  But even so, it couldn't suppress his inner uneasiness and tension.  He looked at Lin Rui and said, "I need to know your overall plan."

"The plan is very simple. I need you to hand over 300 of your most elite men to us, and you can take the rest and evacuate immediately. Then we will shrink the defense on the spot and introduce the armed forces of the secret society into the pass. Use the terrain advantage to  Intercept them here to create opportunities for you to escape." Lin Rui said calmly, "The troops left to intercept will encounter unprecedented pressure. This is why I need those former veterans of the Anmore Armed Forces.  Because your militiamen who have received ordinary training cannot complete this mission."

"How many chances do you think there are?" Le Anson whispered.

"The chance of covering your successful evacuation is 50%. Maybe through some means, the chance can be increased to 60%. But the chance of survival of these team members will not be too high. I will try my best to preserve them, but I can't guarantee how many of them there will be.  Evacuate alive." Lin Rui whispered.

Le Anson took a deep breath and said, "I promise!"

"General!" Chief of Staff Philo shouted, "We can't just agree to them."

"Otherwise, let us all stay and fight to the death?" Le Anson turned his head and whispered.  "I can't help but think about the bigger picture."

"But these people are our best soldiers, the soldiers we brought from Anmore!" Chief of Staff Philo said painfully.

"It's the same for everyone." Le Anson looked at Chief of Staff Philo and said, "Even you and me, when faced with protecting this team, we can sacrifice. We want to overthrow the puppet federation established by the secret society and rebuild it.  To recapture the Anmore region, this team cannot break up. As long as the team does not break up, there is still hope for everything. For this, we can sacrifice ourselves, and we should sacrifice ourselves. This is the benefit of the overall situation."

Chief of Staff Philo looked at Le Anson silently and whispered, "I have a request."

"What?" Le Anson shook his head and said, "If you still have any objections to this matter, it's best not to say it anymore. I have already decided."

"I have no objection. But I want to stay with these soldiers and fight side by side." Chief of Staff Philo whispered.  "If we do need to sacrifice, then I hope, I'm one of them."

    "Philo!" Le Anson frowned.

"Besides, I can't trust these mercenaries. So I have to stay." Chief of Staff Philo turned around and grabbed the weapon and said calmly, "You know, my marksmanship is pretty good, so I can also participate in the battle."

Lin Rui nodded, stretched out his hand and said, "Welcome to join."

Le Anson shook his head and said, "I'm afraid this won't work. If you leave, what will happen to our transfer troops? Who will take command."

"We have enough commanders to solve this problem. General, I must stay and be with them." Chief of Staff Philo whispered.  "Give the order, we don't have much time."

Lin Rui and Jiang An exchanged glances, nodded and said, "If Chief of Staff Philo insists on staying, then we agree."

Le Anson sighed, nodded and said, "I'll make arrangements right away."

A few minutes later, Le Anson's elite guards were assembled.  They were all veterans of the Anmore government army, and they were also troops trained by the Black Island Military Company.  Before the Anmor War broke out, many of them were still receiving training from the Black Island Company in the Anmor government army.  Therefore, their military quality is much stronger than that of other African militias.  Because those who were qualified to receive training from the military company back then were themselves excellent soldiers recommended by the Anmore military.

There are even a few old faces familiar to Lin Rui among these people.  When the capital of Anmore fell, they fought a bloody battle with the anti-government forces in Red Rock Town with Lin Rui and others.  After a few years, these soldiers have become more taciturn, colder and more determined.  But they still remember the efforts made by Lin Rui and others to save the entire Anmore Republic.

Although the Republic of Anmore is gone forever, even the arrogant leader of the anti-government army was killed.  Anmol was then merged into the Orumi Federation.  They have experienced too much in these short few years.  But when Lin Rui and others walked up to them, they still saluted him.  It was a genuine trust, they knew what these mercenaries were capable of.

Lin Rui nodded and said, "I think some of you still know me, and some of you don't. But what I want to tell you is that we fought side by side with some of you before the capital of Anmore fell.  Passed. In the capital of Anmor, in ManchuriaIt¡¯s a redstone town of craters and ruins.  We have tried our best.  Some people have passed away forever, but we still remember them.

And now, the situation we face is no worse than then.  Possibly even more dangerous.  But I know that you are still fearless like me.  Because I know you are the most loyal warriors.  I don't want to hide the danger of this mission.  Maybe this time it will really be your turn, just like those brothers lying on the outskirts of Anmore's capital, and those lying on the dark red land of Redstone Town.  Maybe you will fall too, but I know you are fearless.  Because you are real soldiers.  "

"Now I declare that you will accept the direct command of the military advisory group. For the final liberation of Anmore, long live freedom!" Le Anson raised the weapon in his hand.

"Long live Anmore! Long live the general!" a black soldier roared.  These black soldiers, who were originally silent and a little embarrassed due to the long march, broke out into shouts.  It was as if he wanted to completely let out the emotions he had been holding in his heart.  What was once a regular army is now an anti-government guerrilla force.  Their grievances and anger over the past few years seemed to be vented at the same time.

Le Anson walked to Lin Rui and hugged them, whispering, "I handed them over to you." His voice was almost bitter, because he knew what this mission was like.  Under the powerful offensive of the secret society, the possibility of survival of these soldiers who were responsible for blocking and covering the mission was not very high.

Although it was not stated explicitly, Le Anson knew that what Lin Rui and others needed was actually a death squad.  They want to use these limited few hundred people to intercept several times the number of enemy troops and buy time for most of the rebels to evacuate.  The problem is that no one knows how much time this death squad can block.  Even Lin Rui himself is not sure yet.
