In the underground fortifications, the atmosphere is still tense.  The U.S. Army lieutenant asked his men to repair the generator and try to restore communications.  "How is the situation?" the lieutenant asked anxiously.

"Sir, the generator was damaged by the explosion. The other party changed their jobs and picked a few places that were most susceptible to damage. They used the smallest explosion to cause the most serious consequences. With our current spare parts, it is almost impossible to repair it."  The noncommissioned officer in charge of maintenance sighed, put down the wrench, and spread his oily hands.

"Then let someone send the accessories. We have too many devices that need power supply." The lieutenant whispered.

"The bad news is that our communication equipment has also been destroyed, and we cannot contact the squadron sending supplies in time. And according to usual practice, the next supply arrival time should be a week later. In other words, the helicopter will not arrive until a week later  ." The sergeant shook his head.

¡°Aren¡¯t there two helicopters in the base?¡± the lieutenant frowned, ¡°Can¡¯t we use helicopters to pick up spare parts?¡±

"But the CIA bureaucrats may not agree. To them, it is the property of the US government and does not belong to our military." The noncommissioned officer complained, "In fact, everyone knows that those two helicopters are used by them for emergency evacuation.  They don¡¯t care about us.¡±

"Okay, stop complaining. I'll go talk to them, maybe they will let us use the helicopter." The lieutenant turned around and pressed the communicator on his body, "I am Jungle Cat No. 6, calling Red Ball.  Please answer if you hear me.¡±

The communicator hanging on Mr. K¡¯s chest vibrated. He frowned slightly and pressed the communication switch.  The lieutenant's voice came from the communicator, "Jungle Cat Six, calling Zero. Please answer if you hear it"

"I am No. 0, what do you want, Lieutenant?" Mr. K frowned.

"Due to the lack of spare parts, our power cannot be restored, and the external communication equipment has also been damaged, so I want to use your helicopter to transport a few spare parts." The lieutenant whispered.  "But this requires your permission."

"Sorry, Lieutenant, we can't deliver the helicopter to you. I hope you can understand that this is to ensure that important people are evacuated in case of a crisis. So I can't agree to deliver the helicopter to you. Besides, the helicopter can't evacuate you.  Take it to the Kota Kinabalu Port Military Base in Malaysia." Mr. K said calmly.

"Okay, I understand, but I have to say that the emergency power supply will not be available for long. Once the power is exhausted, we will be plunged into darkness. Without an exhaust fan, the air in the tunnel will become filthy.

"At least you can let us use the radio on the helicopter. The airborne radio can help us contact the base and let them send people to send accessories and supplies.  "The lieutenant explained, "It's only a few minutes.  "

"No, Lieutenant. The helicopter's airborne radio signal cannot be exposed, because this operation is highly confidential, and the base has no right to know. The radio equipped on the helicopter is encrypted and you cannot use it normally." Mr. K was silent for a moment, determined  typical.

"Then, can you let your people do the operation? You can also contact your people instead of contacting the base and ask them to try to send a few parts. We will make a list of the parts needed for repair and let them try to send them all.  Come here." The lieutenant whispered, "Our people are still chasing outside, and we need to understand their situation. Without long-range communication equipment, we don't know anything about the situation on the battlefield."

Mr. K was silent for a moment, "Okay, I will ask my people to help you send the message. But Lieutenant, I will make an exception this time."

"I understand, sir." The lieutenant cut off the communication.

Mr. K turned to one of his agents and whispered, "Go out and use the radio on the helicopter to send a message to those American soldiers. Remember, don't reveal our location. Send the message as a Jungle Cat unit  ,understand?"

"I understand." The agent turned and left.

In the dark passage, Lin Rui crouched in a corner and waited quietly.  He knew that no matter what, those CIA agents would remain silent. He could find out where the two Russian agents were being held by just keeping an eye on one of them.

In order to save electricity, he has turned off the night vision device.  Relying on his eyes that gradually began to adapt to the darkness, and his keen hearing, he captured the movements nearby.  Like a mole huddled in the shadows.  His waiting was not in vain, and soon he heard a few footsteps. The sound of the jungle cat troops' US military boots walking in the basement passage was obvious, while the footsteps of another person were not military boots, but more like leather shoes.

Lin Rui moved slightly in the darkness and put down the night vision device on his head.  The emergency lighting in this corridor has been replaced due to?It goes out when the power is exhausted.  So he can easily hide in corners without being noticed.  The weapons in the hands of the US military are equipped with lighting fixtures, but this lighting fixture has an obvious light-concentrating effect. The illuminated areas are obvious, while the areas that are not illuminated are pitch black.

What came were two American troops, both holding weapons and advancing carefully.  The tactical flashlight was attached to the weapon's Picatinny rail, allowing them to hold the gun as they advanced.  "Safety." A US military man gestured behind him.  Behind him was a man in a suit wearing a bulletproof vest.

CIA agent?  As expected, I was waiting for you.  Lin Rui thought silently, but leaned back further to ensure that he was completely in darkness.

"Here is the list. You can ask them to send it over and send two more maintenance technicians if possible." The US military noncommissioned officer handed a document to the CIA agent.

The agent nodded, "I can guarantee that the things will be delivered, but I'm afraid the personnel can't. Everything that happens here must be kept absolutely confidential. Not to mention the maintenance personnel on this mission, even the senior military officials of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  Not many people knew about it.¡±

"Whatever, but it's best to tell them to deliver the repair parts as soon as possible, otherwise we will have to live in this dark underground for at least a few weeks." The US military sergeant said helplessly, "Come this way, I will take you up."

As these people walked through the passage, no one noticed a person lying on the pipe above the corner of the passage.  Lin Rui watched them leave quietly, he was in no rush to act.

He had just heard their conversation.  So he concluded that the CIA agent was only temporarily gone and would be back soon.  And then, Lin Rui will follow him.  Until he took Lin Rui to the place where Russian agents were detained.  Calmness and patience are the best habits for a warrior.
