Chapter 1717 Hell Town

The Anmore rebels brought in another machine gun.  Lin Rui could see the firecracker-like flames it sprayed two hundred meters away.  The bullet flew over his head with a pitiful whistle.  In the muddy trench, four or five government troops moved enough sandbags to build a low temporary bunker.

But this is of no use at all. In addition to blocking stray bullets with little power, any machine gun can penetrate this damn temporary protection.  So Lin Rui stopped them, "Stop, these things are useless. Where is your commander, Major Hroga? Has anyone seen him?"

¡°There is no commander, the major has been killed, and now the lieutenant is commanding us.¡± The black soldiers of the government army looked at him with some fear.

"Okay, don't worry about that." Lin Rui frowned and said, "Send your lieutenant over. I have new orders for him!"

"Yes, sir, I'll go right away." The black soldier bent over and ran over.

Several people on Lin Rui's side also took advantage of the bunker to lie down and shoot.  Lin Rui squatted behind them.  A mortar shell whirled past, landed somewhere in no man's land, and exploded.  Lin Rui whispered, "Damn, this is another threat, but it will still take the other side some time to determine our position. And on this muddy ground, mortars are not accurate."

"I'm just afraid of hitting the wrong target." Ahu said with a smile.  His face was covered with mud, almost like those of black people, and after he smiled, his teeth looked extremely white.  Lin Rui shook his head, "Tiger, this time, we may have to die here."

"What's the difference? It's either today or tomorrow. No one can be so lucky forever." Ahu muttered while firing.

Noise, darkness, approaching flashes, squads of mercenaries and government troops are firing back at the flashes.  Lin Rui felt that he was really so calm and even had time to think about something.  He had wondered if he was afraid, then decided he wasn't.  Before the attack on the rebel fortress, he had faced much less danger than he now faced, but he was still very nervous and frightened.

I don¡¯t know why, maybe it¡¯s because I have the freedom to break a can, or maybe I¡¯m not afraid of being scalded by boiling water.

Suddenly, someone shouted, "The rebels are narrowing the siege of us."

There is no doubt about this, because the muzzle flash in the darkness is getting closer and closer.  Lin Rui thought he saw a flash of light less than twenty meters away from us.  They apparently attacked along that trench.  Less than twenty meters is the distance where they can drop bombs calmly, and Lin Rui's mercenaries are gathered together, and a well-placed grenade will blow them into pieces.

Peng Lefeng¡¯s face was slightly injured, and blood flowed from the wound. He still stood up and threw a grenade.  Lin Rui and others quickly lowered their bodies and waited for the explosion.  The fuse hissed as the grenade flew through the air.  He managed to drop the grenade right where the rebels were firing.  At first there was the roar of an explosion, and then there were screams and moans.

No matter what, his grenades did blow up several enemies.  At the same time, under the flash of muzzle flash in the distance, Lin Rui saw a figure not far away from the gun light.

He immediately raised the AK47 and fired, and there was another scream.  But Lin Rui thought that he might not have been hit, and this might have been the role of the grenade.  Peng Lefeng threw several more grenades.  The renewed flash of the automatic rifle they saw was farther away from them, perhaps a hundred meters or more.  It seemed they had driven the enemy back, at least for the time being.

The mercenaries began to curse the government troops and questioned why the rear did not provide reinforcements to Red Rock Town.  As long as they support a few machine guns or send three to four hundred soldiers, they can withstand a large-scale counterattack and hold on to this place.  At this time, the deputy commander of the government army, a black lieutenant, jumped into the bunker in front and came to accept the order.

"You're here, Lieutenant, and you're just in time! I want you to gather your people quickly and prepare everyone to retreat immediately!" Lin Rui said in a deep voice, "There are more and more rebels. We need to take advantage of them before they trap us to death."  , break out and rush out."

"What?" the lieutenant asked in surprise, "What about Redstone Town?"

"Whatever they do. Your coward general has decided to surrender. You have two choices now. Either surrender and be slaughtered like dogs by the rebels, or follow us. If you are lucky, you may be able to save your life.  !" Lin Rui whispered.

"Is this an order?" the lieutenant asked in astonishment.

"This is not an order. Our contract is no longer valid. I no longer have command authority over you, so you have the right to decide your own destiny." Lin Rui shrugged.  "I suggest you take your people with us. Because given the current situationUnder such circumstances, surrender would undoubtedly mean death.

You know, those rebels don¡¯t understand what a prisoner is, let alone the Geneva Convention.  If you surrender with your front foot, your back foot will be led there, facing the wall.  And thenyou know.  "

"Yes, I understand." The black lieutenant nodded and whispered, "I am willing to go with you, as long as I have a chance to live. I can do anything."

"Be smart, go assemble your team." Lin Rui patted him and said, "Don't be too depressed Lieutenant, today may be your lucky day."

Lin Rui and others have been under the fire suppression of the rebels, and it seems that they are launching an attack from all directions.  Lin Rui did not doubt that some of the firepower came from their own side, because everyone throughout the battle was shooting.  But in the mud on a rainy night, the formation was completely chaotic.

No matter where they move, another stream of bullets will come.  In the darkness, these soldiers were driven from here to there like a flock of sheep.  Their weapons and ammunition have long been exhausted, and almost everyone is using AK47 rifles picked up from the rebels.  Although they also seized a lot of ammunition, this did not make them feel at ease. There seemed to be more and more enemy troops.

But Jiang An came up with his last two hundred reserves, and this new force just suppressed the rebel charge.  "God, you guys look really miserable." Jiang An caught up from behind.

Seeing his appearance, Lin Rui was slightly startled. He knew that Jiang An had already sent up all the reserve teams.  This is understandable, because his intervention at this time was just the right time.  If he doesn't come, Lin Rui will notify him.  But in this way, they have put all their capital on the table.  Whether you can truly break through depends on luck.

"Why, where are the others?" Jiang An whispered.

"There are four more teams coming. A lieutenant from the government army is also directing his people to arrive. We have to use this opportunity to see how to break out." Lin Rui looked at the intensive firepower around him and couldn't help frowning.
