Chapter 1696 Dictator General

General Coffey was pulled out of bed and sat in his office.  He looked at Jiang An with some surprise. He had seen this mercenary before and knew that he was the mercenary representative who came to see him during the day yesterday.  But I have never seen the other young man. I really don¡¯t know why they are looking for me so impatiently.

"Are the rebels coming again?" General Coffey looked at them nervously.

"It's not that bad, but it's a good thing." Jiang An looked at him and smiled, "Let me introduce you, this is Mr. Rick. He is not only one of the major shareholders of Black Island Company, but also the one who is fully responsible for  Commander of the Anmor campaign."

General Coffey nodded and said to Lin Rui, "Hello, Mr. Rick. How can I help you?"

"General, you're welcome. You are the company's employer and we are its employees. We should be the ones working for you." Lin Rui looked at General Kofi.  This is the appearance of a typical African warlord, with elegant military uniforms, a somewhat stout middle-aged figure, and a dark and shiny bald head.

General Kofi was also looking at Lin Rui. This man looked surprisingly young, and his face was stained with blood in addition to dust and sweat.  I don¡¯t know what he wants to do when he comes to me at this time.  He was silent for a while and said, "Mr. Rick, I don't quite understand. You came to me because"

"I'll give you a gift." Lin Rui put something on the table. It was a remote-controlled detonator. It was still stained with sticky blood, as if it hadn't dried completely.

    "This" General Coffey was startled.

"Don't be nervous, General, this is good news. Twenty minutes ago, my men attacked the rebel artillery base outside Hongshi Town and blew up all the rebel artillery." Lin Rui pointed to the detonating device.  "It's a gift to the general when I first came here."

"A gift?" General Coffey said in surprise, "You mean, you blew up the rebel artillery positions? You destroyed all the artillery, are you sure?"

"Yes." Lin Rui nodded, "I'm very sure, because I personally led the team."

"Great, this is simply great!" General Coffey high-fived excitedly.

Lin Rui shook his head and said, "It's not very good, Mr. General. With all due respect, although we destroyed the rebel artillery position, it was only a small partial victory and could not change the entire current situation of the war.  .¡±

General Coffey's smile gradually faded, looking a little frustrated. "It is true. Even if the artillery position is destroyed, how long our Leta City can hold on is still a question. From the current point of view, at best, it will only delay the fall of Leta City."  That¡¯s all.¡±

"Yes, to be precise. It was delayed between four and seven days. I have done some calculations. According to the original plan, Leta City can hold on for at least three days. But the rebels have no artillery and are attacking Leta.  The threat to the city has been reduced. In other words, Leta City can hold on for about a week to ten days. And if we can take advantage of this opportunity, it will be possible to further change the situation." Maangishi looked at General Coffey and said.

"How to change?" General Coffey's expression changed.

"General, please look at the map. Laita City is currently surrounded on three sides and the situation is critical. We can support it for up to ten days with the current strength. But don't forget that you are also blocked north of Red Rock Town with part of your strength. So the only thing  There is only one way out, to retake Hongshi Town and ensure that the government troops in the north can enter Laita along Red Rock Town." Lin Rui pointed at the battle map.

"I understand what you mean, but the rebels have deployed more than a thousand people in Red Rock Town, and their defenses are very strong. Our current defense strength is still weak. If we take the initiative to attack, we don't have much chance of winning." General Coffey  He pondered, "If we take the risk to attack, we will most likely lose the last barrier of Leta City."

"With all due respect, General. Leta City is not a barrier, but a coffin. A coffin that is enough to trap us here." Lin Rui replied.

"I still have thousands of troops in the north. They should be able to capture Red Rock Town to support us." General Coffey argued, "We don't need to rush out and take risks and lose the capital."

"But the current reality is that your people have not taken down Red Rock Town yet. It will not be possible in the next ten days, even though their number is several times that of the enemy. But their morale is low, and their equipment and combat capabilities are very low.  Bad. To be honest, general, with troops approaching the city, Leta City is in danger. The troops under your command may even be avoiding the battle and waiting." Lin Rui said slowly.

"Mr. Rick, even if you are the military consultant I hired, how dare you say that?!" General Coffey said sternly.

"Because this is a fact. You know better than anyone else that the Anmol government army is just a combination of you and a few warlords.force.  As for the government troops in the north, they don't care about you as the head of the military government.  As long as they preserve their strength, they can maintain their own strength.  If the rebels captured Leta City, they might immediately defect.

Because to them, no matter who is in power, you or the rebels, they just have a different boss.  If they feel that your decline is obvious, do you think they will still support you without hesitation?  I'm sorry to be so blunt, but they are just fagots.  You also know it in your heart, so they haven't been able to capture Red Rock Town yet.  Lin Rui looked at General Kofi and said.

"Okay, maybe that's the case. But how should we solve it?" General Coffey was a little frustrated. Lin Rui's words made him even less confident.

"If you want them to listen to you, you must show enough momentum instead of sitting here and being beaten passively. The only thing that can affect the grass on the wall is the wind. Whichever way the wind blows, the grass will fall. So your limelight  The rebels must be overwhelmed, or at least evenly matched. Then they will sway to your side.

¡°You are trapped here and passively beaten. Even if the government troops in the north are willing to support you, they will weigh the pros and cons.  Because they are not sure whether they can defeat the rebels after rescuing you?  If they save you but still lose to the rebels, then they might as well not fight.  At least save some strength so you can bargain with the rebels.  "Lin Rui smiled.

Shogan also sighed and said, "General, you understand, this is a very real world. There is no so-called loyalty, everyone lives for themselves. Just like you, although you once swore allegiance to your country  , but you still became a warlord and turned this country into your own private property.

Although the government troops in the north swear allegiance to you, they can also swear allegiance to the rebels.  Especially when they find out that you have no chance of winning, you can't blame them.  Everyone will make a choice that is beneficial to themselves.  "

General Coffey looked at them blankly, then sighed, lowered his head and muttered, "So, what do you think I should do?"
