"I said, they were still here a few days ago. However, they were taken away to the mining area the night before yesterday." Kobwa gasped.

"What mining area and where is its location?" Lin Rui shouted in a deep voice.

"No one knows that place. It's in a certain wetland by Lake Albert. We found a diamond mine there last year, and we hired people to mine and pan for sand there. Because it's located in a dense wetland forest, no one knows that place at all.  . Even the government troops don¡¯t know there is a diamond mine there,¡± Kobwa said.

"It's impossible. If there really is a diamond mine, the news should spread very quickly. It's impossible that you've been mining secretly for more than half a year and no one knows about it." Lin Rui frowned.

"Yes, it's always difficult to keep this kind of thing a secret. So we burned down several nearby villages, locked up the adults to work, and put the children into military camps. No one knew we were there.  Why, we don¡¯t have any contact with the outside world. All sales channels are handled by a European company.

"Whatever we harvest, they harvest."  Of course the price is much lower than the international market, but it is enough for us.  They were very efficient and settled everything in cash.  "Kobwa whispered.

"Is this possible?" Lin Rui frowned.

"If their goods are resold directly to the secret society and sent to Europe, then they really will not attract too much attention. Because there is a secret society running everything behind the scenes, even if the government forces deliberately want to investigate them, they may not be able to detect them from behind the wetlands and dense forests.  Find that place in the process. Besides, the current government troops themselves are in a state of distress, and no one will mind their own business." Jiang An nodded.

Kobwa sighed and said, "But the good times don't last long. The Chinese want to build a road nearby and pass through this wetland. Because the geology is soft, they will definitely need to conduct further exploration. Once this diamond mine is discovered, it will inevitably cause a stir.  Coveted by the surrounding warlords, everything we have spent so long building will no longer exist.¡±

"That's why you kidnapped the Chinese construction workers, hoping to create a tense atmosphere that would force them to stop construction in that area." Lin Rui pointed a gun at him and said, "Then why did you transfer the hostages?"

"The people in the secret society think they are not safe here. There are still too many people who know this place. It is far less secretive than the mining area. Moreover, there is a recent shortage of labor. After our last attack on the Chinese, we have not been able to be too active recently.  In order to avoid attracting the attention of government troops and other warlords, we transferred those Chinese people to the mining area and made them work as laborers." Kobwa said in a low voice.

"Your abacus is pretty good." Lin Rui nodded, "Use hostages as laborers. Where is the mining area?"

"I can take you there, but you can't save people from there. Those in the secret society are in control. Even my people can't come in or out at will where the hostages are held. These people are very powerful." Kobwa  whispered.

"Stop talking nonsense!" Sergey picked him up and said, "What will the boss do with him?"

"Drag him to the car. Don't let him die. We need to let him lead the way. Let's set off immediately." Lin Rui said in a deep voice.  "Brothers, get ready, there may be a fierce battle next."

"Understood." Sergey and Crazy Horse put Kobwa into the car. His leg had been broken, leaving a trail of blood on the ground.

"What to do with the militants here?" Jiang An asked.

"Lock them all up and wait for the government troops to come and clean up the mess. Let's do our own thing." Lin Rui waved, "Everyone get in the car."

?? Brilliant and extremely hard diamonds are not only a symbol of strength, but also represent eternal love, so they are loved by women around the world.  According to statistics, about half of the world¡¯s diamonds are currently produced in Africa, and almost all of the exquisite and precious diamonds come from Africa.

But what these diamonds bring to Africa is not wealth, but endless violence, bloodshed and cannibalism. It can be said that every diamond is covered with blood.  In order to mine, produce and transport these diamonds, countless people have lost their lives.

Driven by huge profits, diamond mining not only stimulates the greed of local powerful people, but also leads to intensified civil wars among various ethnic groups. Ordinary people living at the bottom of society have truly become the biggest victims of diamonds.

One of the important reasons why the civil wars in some African countries have been unable to stop for decades, and the government forces and the rebels are equally matched, is that the mining and smuggling of diamonds has made the rebels rich and powerful.  They either use the U.S. dollars obtained from selling diamonds or directly use diamonds in exchange for arms, which keeps the rebels' arms supply flowing.

In order to cover up their illegal diamond smuggling activities, some countries with ongoing civil wars smuggle diamonds through third countries such as The Gambia in West Africa. The stone was exported to the European market, and then the US dollars obtained were used to purchase large quantities of arms to support wars with neighboring countries or domestic ethnic conflagrations.

The civil war in Congo over the territory where diamonds are produced has been going on for many years, and has also involved neighboring countries Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Burundi, turning the entire southern Africa into a big battlefield.  Diamonds bring violence, blood, and endless cannibalism.

In the world¡¯s most famous diamond cutting, polishing and trading places such as Antwerp in Belgium, Tel Aviv in Israel and New York in the United States, representatives of African countries openly exchange diamonds for weapons.  Many diamond and arms dealers are engaged in various illegal transactions in these places every day. AK-47 submachine guns, rocket launchers and other heavy weapons continue to flow into Africa.

By comparison, these messy small diamond mines are hell on earth.  There is no such thing as mechanical mining here, everything is done manually.  Many black Africans who were hungry stood in the quagmire half a man deep, using the simplest tools to scouring the sand and soil in search of diamonds.  The high-intensity labor and poor sanitary conditions mean that many of them cannot survive long in this environment.

The diamond mine in Cobowa is such a place.  Strictly speaking, it cannot be considered a mine at all. There is no mining equipment and no labor protection. It is just a valley depression in the dense forest.  A group of black militants with guns and a group of black people being forced into labor.  That¡¯s what this diamond mine is all about.

In order not to alert these militants, Lin Rui and others¡¯ vehicles did not approach this place.  Instead, we got off the car quite far away and approached on foot in the jungle.  Lin Rui whispered, "Be careful. In order to prevent the workers from escaping, they have set up a power grid and set up minefields outside the camp. We must further investigate the situation before taking action."
