Chapter 520 The most worrying thing

Yelena and Lin Rui covered each other and moved forward. In this hospital, they found more corpses.  Some of the bodies looked like those of armed men, while others were just civilians, even doctors, most of whom had been shot.

¡°I don¡¯t know why, but this hospital, which was supposed to save lives and heal the wounded, has become a Shura field where people go on a killing spree.  Lin Rui whispered, "It seems like government troops did it."

Yelena nodded and whispered, "The pharmacy should be right opposite, we" She suddenly stopped talking because there were more corpses lined up in the aisle in front of the pharmacy.  These people were all kneeling on the ground, with their hands tied behind their backs, and were shot in the head.  The death was horrific.

"This is a mass execution-style shooting." Lin Rui whispered. He turned his head and forced himself not to look at the small section of young arms still exposed among the corpses. There were children among the dead.

"Damn it!" Yelena whispered, "But we shouldn't care about this. We must take the medicine and leave immediately."

"You're right." Lin Rui nodded, "I just, I just don't worry, I'm fine." But no matter how good he said he was, Yelena felt that he looked bad.

Yelena quickly entered the pharmacy room, checked everywhere, and whispered, "There are some antibiotics you can use. But the hospital has been out of power for a long time, and the plasma in the blood bank has lost its refrigeration and cannot be used. I'll try my best."  I¡¯ll pack it up and take it back.¡±

"Okay, actually I feel okay." Lin Rui sighed lightly. He didn't mean what he said. In fact, he was starting to feel dizzy again.  In order to prevent Yelena from noticing, he clenched one of his hands so hard that his nails dug into the flesh of his palm, and he forced himself to resist dizziness. If he fainted here, it would be nothing worse than that.  ¡¯

Yelena quickly packed up and helped him back.

Lin Rui smiled bitterly and said, "I never thought that I would need help to even walk."

"There will always come a day. Even if you are not injured, you will slowly grow old until you are so old that you need help." Yelena whispered.

"I very much doubt that I will survive until that day." Lin Rui shrugged. "We Chinese have a saying that if the jar cannot be broken without leaving the well, the general will inevitably die in battle. What we do in this line of work almost means that  No matter how hard it is to end well.¡±

"Not necessarily, Silver Wolf Michelle is an example." Yelena whispered, "You will be fine. At least this time, nothing will happen to you! I won't let anything happen to you."

"It sounds like you've fallen in love with me." Lin Rui shrugged.

"I love many things, I love guns, I love vodka, and I don't mind adding another hobby." Yelena looked at him and said.

Lin Rui couldn't help but shake his head, "I'm a wounded person. Isn't it a little bad that you tease me so openly?"

"Stop talking nonsense, we have to hurry up and go back." Yelena whispered.

Lin Rui suddenly frowned and said, "That's wrong!"

"What's wrong? Are you uncomfortable with the wound?" Yelena looked at him and said with some surprise.

"You're not talking about me, but Jiang An and the others." Lin Rui whispered, "How long have they been gone? Why haven't they heard anything yet? It's been at least three hours. We haven't heard any gunshots or  I saw the fire. Everything is still the same in the government camp. Isn¡¯t this a little abnormal?¡±

"Perhaps they are still lurking in the government army camp. So far, they have not found a suitable opportunity to strike." Yelena frowned, "In any case, the lack of gunshots means that at least they have not been exposed."

Lin Rui shook his head and said, "This may be our wishful thinking. Maybe they have been exposed, so be careful no matter what."

Yelena thought for a while and said, "Maybe we can try to contact them by radio."

"It's best not to, because wireless signals are the easiest to intercept when the enemy is prepared. If you try to contact them, it may even speed up their exposure." Lin Rui whispered.

"Okay, let's talk about it when we go back." As soon as Yelena turned around, she was suddenly pulled to one side by Lin Rui.  Lin Rui put a cold finger on her mouth, signaling her to be silent.  It was a bit cold for them to stand leaning against the wall on a cool night.

But soon Yelena discovered that Lin Rui¡¯s decision was right. On the other side of the street, figures were shaking, and several armed men dressed in black were walking carefully along the street.  They all have m4a1s in their hands, and the muzzles are equipped with qd silencers.

The government and military of Gansu, like most African countries, use the standard weapons of the former Soviet Union in their equipment, and rarely use them like this.??Standard American equipment.  Therefore, these militants must be from Morning Star Company, which can also be seen from their actions.  Their tactical formation is very particular.

"It's people from Morning Star Company. Are they searching us?" Yelena whispered.

Lin Rui lowered his voice and said, "Don't say anything. Let's see how many people are there before speaking."

"No need to look, I trained two groups of twelve people in a standard formation according to this." Yelena whispered, "Did you see the top of the ruins over there?"

"I saw it, what's wrong?" Lin Rui frowned.

"The view there is very good, there will be a sniper ambushing you." Yelena whispered.

After a while, a figure did appear on the roof of the building.  Lin Rui and Yelena both retracted their bodies a little, maintaining a squatting posture to avoid the person's discovery.

"How did you know?" Lin Rui whispered.

"Because if it were me, I would be ambushing there." Yelena looked at the figure at the top and whispered, "This is bad, they are heading towards our original hiding place."

"How did they know that we were hiding in the underground warehouse of that supermarket?" Lin Rui whispered, "Unless someone leaked the news. Damn it, it's exactly what I thought, Jiang An and the others are in trouble."

"You mean, they may have" Yelena said in surprise.

"Our hiding place is also the meeting place we agreed on. Only Jiang An and the others know about it. Now that they have not come back, they are people from Morning Star Company, which means something must have happened to them." Lin Rui whispered.

"No! They will never betray us!" Yelena whispered.

"They won't, but there are other mercenaries. Besides, you also know what methods the mercenaries will use in order to obtain battlefield intelligence. Few people can stand those methods of torture and extorting confessions." Lin Rui  His expression became more and more serious.  "What I was most worried about happened."
