Chapter 194 Raging Wind and Raging Waves

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

The wind and rain outside are getting stronger and stronger, and the hull is shaking constantly.  A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, but the muffled thunder seemed to hit everyone's heart.  Everyone in the UFO team had a heavy face. They were brave warriors, but they were not fanatics who ignored life and death.  They may be able to face dangerous enemies without fear, but they cannot face the roaring sea.

Because it is a force of nature.  "Human power can conquer the sky." This sentence can only be said by a group of people sitting comfortably and drinking hot tea.  Any claim to conquer nature is nonsense. Human beings can never conquer nature because humans themselves are also members of nature.

The boat was shaking more and more violently, and the rain outside was pouring down.  Huge waves seven to eight meters high can be set off at any time and hit each other on the sea.  Rain and waves are completely indistinguishable at this time.  The windows on the boat were banged by the rain.

The sea surface was violently turbulent, and the heavy rain that poured into the basin could not make the slightest ripple, because the sea water was never calm for a moment.  Beneath the overwhelming waves, one could faintly see the undercurrents and surges. The scene on the sea surface was so horrifying that it was indescribable.

The black smuggler¡¯s hair stood on end. Even though he often walked in this sea area, he had never encountered such terrible weather.  What surprised him was that this group of strange passengers in the cabin were surprisingly calm.

Zhao Jianfei shouted in a deep voice, "Jiang An, have you found anything?"

"No, there is a problem with the satellite network and the signal is too poor. I can't get nearby chart data." Jiang An kept typing the keyboard with both hands and shouted in a low voice.  "The antenna set up outside was knocked down by the waves. I must go and find someone to help me put the antenna up."

    "I'll go!" Lin Rui shouted.

Just when he was about to turn around and go out, there was a loud "Peng!"

Everyone in the cabin slid aside involuntarily.  That was the result of a wave hitting the ship.  Then the whole ship rose up, and then suddenly slid down.  Ivan was shouting at the wheelhouse: "Turn right, damn, the wave is coming again!"

"I'm working hard." Qin Fen responded loudly, their voices seemed insignificant amidst the wind, rain and waves.

Lin Rui staggered towards the cabin door. He was only half a meter away from the exit when the ship suddenly turned sideways. Even with his skill, he lost his balance and hit the cabin wall with a "bang" like a kite with its string cut off.

The lights on the ship went out and the backup red light came on.  Just when the broken boat was about to capsize into the water, it miraculously regained its balance.  Even Jiang An and Zhao Jianfei, who were sitting on the chairs, rolled to the ground.

Lin Rui struggled to crawl towards the door.  The satellite antenna was set up on one level of the deck, located at the bow of the ship. When Lin Rui rushed up to the ship, an alarm sounded.

Qin Fen in the operation room shouted from the front: "Peng Lefeng! The stern cabin is flooded. Hurry up and close the water gate, and"

    "Boom!"

Another huge wave covered the hull of the ship, and the terrible sound it made swallowed up all other exclamations.

At this time, Lin Rui had already unscrewed the door cover at the top of the ladder and pushed it open with his back. A column of water rushed in, causing him to fall completely and fall on Peng Lefeng at the bottom of the ladder.

The huge current rolled the two of them away.  This smuggler's boat was running wildly like an out-of-control wild horse.  Lin Rui aroused the cruelty in his heart, shouted loudly, and grabbed the ladder again.  He had to go up and put the antenna up again.

The stowaway boat lifted up at an impossible angle, and then plummeted downwards.  The huge inertia caused Lin Rui to fall backwards again. He grabbed the handrail of the ladder with his backhand, desperately resisting the ruthless force that made him fall backwards.  After the violent turbulence, the broken ship finally regained a moment of calm.

Lin Rui took the opportunity to push open the lid and ran up the armor.  Under the weak red light from the main cabin in the violent storm, the entire ship was faintly visible in the water, tossed on the back of a wave of unknown height, and the entire wave crest roared sharply like boiling water.  And the dark, endless troughs and the frightening sloping decline are just ahead.  The sea roared, and the foaming waves poured over the side of the ship like a waterfall.

Lin Rui grabbed the knocked down antenna with one hand and hung the lock around his waist on the handle outside the main cabin with the other hand. He resisted the impact of the huge waves and tied the antenna to the side of the bow again.  Before he could finish all this, another huge wave like a wall of water came, and the stowaway boat rose up and was lifted into the air.

A column of water came from nowhere and knocked the stowaway boat around, causing a splash of water all day long.

The sea water flooded in, and the huge waves made the ship sail under the sea like a submarine.  When everyone thought that this broken ship would live foreverWhen he was sleeping, he was suddenly lifted up to the sea by the subsequent big waves.

Lin Rui almost stumbled back to the cabin, his whole body was already soaked.  I don¡¯t know how many mouthfuls of bitter salty sea water I drank, and my body was hit by huge waves many times and hit the hull of the boat, causing bruises all over my body.  But he finally straightened and fixed the outside antenna.

Jiang An¡¯s tactical computer finally received the signal again, and Qin Fen in the cab in front also restored the GPS satellite positioning at the same time.  Settling ashore in the rickety cabin, he used his computer to quickly search for the nearest islands and reefs, preparing to find a place where he could temporarily escape the storm.  The ship's hull is constantly bumping, and the satellite signal may disappear at any time.

They must find a solution in a short time, otherwise, they will have to wait for death on the sea, and they are destined to die.  They all know that the reason why this ship has been able to hold up until now is that, as the black snakehead said, although it is small, it is very strong.  On the other hand it was pure luck.

But luck will not always be by your side.  No one can live by luck forever.

"Found it! Turn the rudder and go straight east. There is a small island and reef there. There is no port to dock, but the height and position of the island and reef allow us to successfully avoid the storm." Jiang shore loudly announced the coordinates.  Qin Fen in front immediately adjusted his course and headed east at full power.

This dilapidated smuggling boat was shaking in the strong wind and rain, but it did not capsize in the end.  They successfully found the small island.  And we stopped on the leeward side, even though the wind and rain were stronger and the waves were scary.  But there is always a place to anchor temporarily and take shelter from the wind.  When the boat stopped, everyone felt that they were almost exhausted and about to collapse.
