After suffering heavy casualties, Kimura Hy¨taro¡¯s troops finally withdrew their troops from the front line, and they fled like a bereaved dog.

Although Hy¨taro Kimura's body was not injured at all, not even a small wound, his heart was riddled with holes by Li Guoyao's troops.

What¡¯s more important is that Yamada¡¯s subordinates were also tricked to death by him!

Because they were unable to break out of the encirclement and Major General Yamada was seriously injured, the remaining several hundred Japanese soldiers were besieged by the Chinese army on a small hill and held on to the danger.

When the situation was reported to the 12th Army Headquarters, Lieutenant General Otaka Kamezo was completely shocked!

The Kimura Division put on a lion versus a rabbit posture this time, but as a result, they were still beaten to a pulp. Not only the main force suffered heavy losses, but also the several armies that supported the attack also suffered heavy losses, especially the Yamada Brigade. Now  It is even more precarious.

Thinking that they had already lost a major general brigade leader two days ago, if another one is killed now, the consequences will be really disastrous.

In view of this, Odaka Kamezo immediately ordered the Japanese troops in the direction of Zaozhuang to rescue the Yamada brigade at all costs.

¡°Perhaps knowing that the Kimura Division¡¯s own strength may be insufficient, Odaka Kamezo sent a stern telegram to the Japanese 21st Division in Linyi, ordering them to immediately assemble the main force to rescue the Yamada Brigade.

In order for Yamada¡¯s headquarters to be able to hold on until reinforcements arrived, Odaka Kamezo immediately ordered the aviation regiment to take off immediately and go to the besieged area of ??Yamada¡¯s headquarters to conduct support operations.

After learning that the Yamada brigade was seriously short of ammunition, that officers had suffered heavy losses, and that the organization had been disrupted, Odaka Kamezo immediately transferred 50 grassroots officers from the Jinan Corps Headquarters and immediately carried out airborne reinforcements to the Yamada brigade.

With the sudden force of the 12th Army Headquarters, Kimura Hy¨taro's troops, who were running in panic, stopped after joining the rearguard and regrouped. Although they did not continue to go deeper, they were still eyeing the hinterland of Xiong'er Mountain.

On the northern line, Shinozuka Kunigoro's troops turned south and tried to join up with Kimura Hyoutarou's troops.

In addition, dozens of fighter planes of the Japanese Air Force arrived at the mountainous battlefield. On one side, they bombed and strafed at low altitude the Japanese troops surrounding the Japanese army. On the other side, they airdropped ammunition and officers on the Yamada brigade.

Although only a small part of the ammunition was successfully received by the Yamada Brigade, most of it fell into the wilderness and was then obtained by Li Guoyao's troops. Even so, the critical situation of Yamada's troops running out of ammunition was solved.

Especially with the arrival of dozens of junior Japanese officers, they reorganized their troops and quickly stabilized the situation.

At the same time, about a reinforced regiment in Linyi with nearly 5,000 puppet troops rushed to reinforce the front line, and its leading troops have arrived in Lanling.

After receiving the urgent telegram from the intelligence department, Li Guoyao immediately ordered Xie Baojun's headquarters to seize the time to launch an attack and try to eat the little Japanese in the encirclement before Japanese reinforcements arrived.

But soon there was a reply from Xie Baojun. Since their troops were limited and the Japs were still defending according to danger, they had already launched six attacks before, but they were all repelled by the Japs.

Now that the Japs reinforcements are about to arrive, if the troops continue to attack, not only may they be bitten by the Japs, but with the current heavy casualties of the troops, even if the Japs are eliminated, their own casualties will be unbearable.

In view of this, Xie Baojun believes that the strategic goal of attacking the Japanese army has been achieved. In order to preserve the effective strength of the troops, the mission of encircling and annihilating the Yamada Brigade can be temporarily abandoned.

After receiving Xie Baojun¡¯s telegram, Li Guoyao thought about it carefully and felt that what Xie Baojun said made sense.

At present, except for Yamada Tetsujiro, the enemy chief, the remaining soldiers in Yamada's headquarters do not exceed five or six hundred. In fact, this unit has been disabled.  The little devil did not hesitate to dispatch aviation and so many troops to attack hundreds of kilometers long distances. The purpose was just to keep this designation. In fact, it had no impact on the battle situation and the final result.

On the contrary, if they insist on annihilating this Japanese army now, they will pay a lot of casualties, and this reminds Li Guoyao of the Battle of Guanjianao in the history of the Eighth Route Army.

The battle at Guanjianao was a fierce battle and a famous "defeat" in the history of the Eighth Route Army's Anti-Japanese War.

In this battle, the Eighth Route Army, with its absolute superiority of 20,000 troops in three brigades and two regiments, besieged a Japanese brigade of more than 500 Japanese soldiers. After two days and nights of fierce fighting, the Eighth Route Army suffered 2,000 casualties, and the Japanese Okazaki brigade suffered more than 400 casualties. The Japanese called Okazaki  Only 61 people from the Saki Battalion were killed.

WhenBy the way, the Japanese casualty report can be ignored, because according to the data disclosed in recent years, the Japanese military has seriously falsified the casualty figures, and there are many shameless things. Therefore, I understand that there is no reference.

The background of the campaign is that in October 1940, the Japanese army mobilized tens of thousands of troops to carry out retaliatory "mopping up" operations against the anti-Japanese base areas in North China.  In late late afternoon, about 500 people from the Okazaki Brigade of the 36th Division of the Japanese Army randomly arrived at the Huangyadong Arsenal, the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army, located at the junction of Liao County, Wuxiang County, and Licheng County.

Huangyadong Arsenal is the largest weapons and ammunition production base established by the Eighth Route Army Headquarters behind enemy lines in North China. General Peng immediately ordered the 386th Brigade of the 129th Division to rush to Huangyadong to repel the Japanese attack.

Seeing the Eighth Route Army brigade arriving for reinforcements, the Japanese army set a fire in the arsenal and fled the place.

Subsequently, more than 500 people from the Okazaki Brigade passed through Zuohui and entered the east of Panlong, preparing to return to Qin County via Wuxiang.

Immediately, President Peng rushed back to the Eighth Route Army headquarters to study and formulate a specific combat plan with Chief of Staff Zuo and others.  Sensing that the situation was not good, the Okazaki Brigade immediately stopped advancing, quickly seized Guanjianao, a dangerous pass that was easy to defend and difficult to attack, and urgently repaired the fortifications in preparation for the battle.

Then senior commanders and fighters of the Eighth Route Army, together with the 386th Brigade of the 129th Division, the newly formed 10th Brigade, one unit each of the 25th and 38th Regiments of the 1st Column, and the Mountain Artillery Company of the Headquarters Artillery Regiment, launched an attack on the Okazaki Brigade at 4 a.m. on October 30.

When the battle started, the Okazaki Brigade built fortifications at some strategic locations near Guanjianao, and the two sides launched a fierce battle for position.  The Eighth Route Army, accustomed to guerrilla warfare, really didn't have much to do in the face of positional warfare.

From 4 a.m. on October 30, until noon, the 1st company of the 1st Battalion of the 772nd Regiment, which originally had more than 70 people, only had 3 people left; the 3rd company of more than 50 people only had the instructor and 2 wounded people; nearly 70 people were left.  There are only more than 10 people left in the 4th company.  In the afternoon, there were only 6 people left in the 1st Battalion.

The Eighth Route Army fought for two consecutive days in this battle, resulting in the loss of more than 2,000 people, but still failed to completely annihilate the Japanese troops in Guanjianao.

Just when the Eighth Route Army was chewing this bone loose, more than 2,500 Japanese reinforcements dispatched from Wuxiang County and Liao County advanced towards Guanjianao. Thousands of Japanese mobile troops from Licheng and other places also began to advance toward Guanjianao.  Nao moves closer.

As a result, the Japanese army formed a new attack point on the periphery, and the Eighth Route Army began to be attacked from both sides.  Immediately afterwards, Japanese reinforcements approached Guanjianao under the cover of more than 10 aircraft.

In desperation, the Eighth Route Army headquarters had to order a withdrawal from the battle.  Afterwards, the Japanese army carried out crazy revenge on the areas around Guanjianao, massacring more than 6,000 people in a few days. They were really a bunch of beasts.

The current situation faced by the Shandong Guerrilla Corps is almost exactly the same as that of the Eighth Route Army Headquarters. The same remnant of the Japanese army was surrounded, and the same Japanese reinforcements were coming.

But the difference is that there were a full 20,000 people at the Eighth Route Army headquarters besieging the Okazaki detachment, and there were also a large number of troops blocking Japanese reinforcements.

At present, the Shandong Guerrilla Corps has suffered considerable losses in strength. The total number of troops besieging Yamada's headquarters is only more than a thousand, and the peripheral troops are also very few.

At first, the Eighth Route Army headquarters could hold on for more than two days without retreating, but the Shandong Guerrilla Corps could not do it. Once Japanese reinforcements arrived, the consequences would be disastrous.

Of course, these are not what Li Guoyao really cares about.  What really made Li Guoyao hesitate was the casualties of the troops. Although they had been blocking the Japanese attacks in this battle, their own casualties were also very heavy. Now that the little devil's plan to attack Xiong'er Mountain has been thwarted, and a large number of effective forces have been annihilated. Is there anything else left?  Do you need to fight like this with the little devil?

¡°After all, the fight against Japan is not something that happens overnight. If all the troops are exhausted, what will happen next time when the Japs come again?

After thinking about it again and again, Li Guoyao finally decided to give up the plan to encircle and annihilate the Yamada Brigade and ordered the entire army to retreat immediately, as Xie Baojun said.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
