Although the supplementary application was suppressed, Li Guoyao did not stop expanding his troops.

Since you don¡¯t give it, well, I¡¯ll do it myself!

Subsequently, under the order of Li Guoyao, the 61st Army openly recruited new soldiers in Wuhan City!

Because of Li Guoyao¡¯s golden name, the army soon recruited more than 3,000 new soldiers, many of whom were stragglers who had withdrawn from the front line, and there were not many real recruits.

In this regard, the Nationalist Government did not stop it, but turned a blind eye!

In fact, Chiang Kai-shek's current attitude towards Li Guoyao is also very ambivalent. To be honest, he himself admires Li Guoyao's tactical and strategic skills very much. He has no problem fighting. He is definitely a good player and very useful. Li Guoyao will not refuse in the face of big rights and wrongs.  Basically, it means hitting wherever.

On the contrary, some of the direct lineage of the Central Military Forces are favored and spoiled, and they often do things that make him unable to step down. During the Battle of East Henan, there was Gui Yongqing and Huang Jie, and this time there was Hu Zongnan in the battles of Luoshan and Faith.

Until now, the telegram from the Commander-in-Chief of the Fifth War Zone accusing and demanding severe punishment of Hu Zongnan is still on Chiang Kai-shek's desk. Compared with this, Li Guoyao deserves more attention from Chiang Kai-shek.

But no amount of advantages can conceal the fact that Li Guoyao was a member of the Northeast Army. Moreover, he was not from Huangpu, nor did he attend Army University. He had almost no overlap with Chiang Kai-shek's employment principles.

What¡¯s more important is that Li Guoyao is married, so much so that Chiang Kai-shek couldn¡¯t even use the marriage relationship to tie him down.

So now, although Chiang Kai-shek really wants Li Guoyao to be a sharp knife in his hand, he is confused because the knife is too sharp and hurts him!

Although Li Guoyao understood this, he did not take it seriously.

???????????????? How long has it been, I¡¯m still thinking about this, the Chinese will never forget internal fighting as long as there are two people there!

Therefore, he doesn¡¯t care what Chiang Kai-shek¡¯s attitude is. Anyway, as long as there is still a chance, he must ensure that he has enough troops in his hands. This is his capital to kill the enemy and serve the country.

However, while Li Guoyao was busy recruiting new soldiers, the Japanese army was also actively preparing for war!

After the Macheng logistics base was destroyed, the Japanese base camp made an urgent decision, ordering Lieutenant General Hisao Nisio, the director of education, to immediately rush to China to take over as the commander of the Second Army. At the same time, he ordered the Japanese troops in Xuzhou, Hefei and other places to immediately restore transportation to Macheng and send  Fighter planes airdrop supplies to troops on the front lines.

In just one week, the Japanese army re-established the communication line between Macheng and Hefei, and a large amount of supplies were transported to Macheng by land.

On November 28, 12 days after the offensive was suspended, Lieutenant General Nishio Hiszo arrived in Lu'an and held a high-level military meeting to discuss the next combat mission.

Nishio Hisao is very familiar with the generals of the Second Army, because before Prince Higashikuremiya Minuhiko became the commander of the Second Army, Nishio Hisao was the commander of the Second Army.

And unlike Prince Narihiko, who was born as a dandy, Hisao Nishio had a real military life. He not only participated in the Russo-Japanese War, but also served as the flag bearer of the regiment.  You must know that being a flag bearer in the Japanese Army is very majestic. You can always be followed by the company leader and attract attention.

More importantly, Nishio Hisao's achievements when he served as the commander of the Second Army were much more brilliant than that of Prince Minuhiko. Last year, Nishio Hisao commanded the troops to invade south along Jinpu Road. At that time, they fought against Feng Yuxiang's 6th Army.  In the war zone, Feng, as the head of the Northwest Army, could not command Song Zheyuan and Han Fuju, a group of arrogant and powerful generals. These two men only wanted to put the whole army first and conserved their strength. Old Feng was so angry that he vomited blood and had to resign.

Xiwei almost occupied Cangzhou, Jinan and other places on a brigade march, but later Chiang Kai-shek shot Han Fuju, sidelined Song Zheyuan, and appointed Li Zongren as the commander of the 5th theater to organize a decisive defense in Taierzhuang. He suffered a big failure.  He was replaced by King Higashino Higashihiko.

Although they suffered a big setback in Taierzhuang, the division commanders of the Second Army still recognized Nishio Hiszo very much. Everyone welcomed him when he returned to serve as the commander of the Second Army.

After Nishio Juzo took office, after analyzing the current situation and discussing with his subordinate generals, he believed that the Japanese army had completed the encirclement and outflanking of Wuhan City in terms of the overall situation, and that taking Wuhan City was neither strategically nor tactically feasible.  question, and then decided to continue attacking Wuhan.

Then, under the order of Nishio Juzo, the main force of the Second Army began to move southward on November 30 after being strengthened.

At the same time, the Japanese 11th Army Headquarters has suffered heavy casualties in view of the heavy casualties of its units, especially the losses of technical arms.? Troops are fighting, so the troops have been replenished and firepower strengthened.

On September 23, when the enemy was engaged in intense fighting on both sides of the Yangtze River, Okamura's 11th Army, according to the deployment of the Central China Dispatch Army, issued an order to its troops to attack Wuhan and prepare to attack Yueyang, and then sent orders to various divisions.  Artillery and tank units are attached to field offensive units, namely:

In addition to the 3,000 new recruits assigned to the 6th Division, there will also be the 7th Independent Heavy Machine Gun Battalion (missing the 2nd Squadron), the 9th Independent Light Armored Vehicle Squadron, the 2nd Squadron of the 5th Tank Battalion, and the 2nd Squadron of the Independent Mountain Artillery.  The 2nd Regiment, the 4th Mortar Battalion, the 4th Field Anti-aircraft Artillery Team, and the 12th Independent Engineer Regiment were transferred to the command of the 6th Division.

At the same time, Okamura Neiji assigned the 2nd Squadron of the 7th Independent Heavy Machine Gun Group, the 8th Independent Light Armored Vehicle Squadron, the 10th Field Heavy Artillery Regiment, and the 2nd Squadron of the 4th Mortar Group to the 15th  division.

The 8th Independent Heavy Machine Gun Battalion, 1 field artillery battalion, 1 mortar squadron, the 2nd Independent Engineer Regiment, the 6th Independent Light Armored Vehicle Squadron, and the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the 52nd Mountain Artillery Regiment were assigned to  To the Ninth Division.

In addition, the 27th Division also received support from a mortar squadron, a squadron from the 5th Tank Group, a field heavy artillery squadron and the 1st Field Anti-aircraft Artillery Team.

The units of the 11th Army continued to advance westward after being strengthened, and occupied Qichun after a fierce battle with Wang Yuying's 198th Division of the 87th Army. The 9th Division, after conquering Mugang and Paishi on the south bank of Fushui in Yangxin County, and  Masaharu Honma's 27th Division marched westward in parallel, attacking the Xianning and Puqi areas in the northern section of the Yue-Han Road.

The Japanese 15th Division, with the cooperation of the 12th Division of the 3rd Navy Fleet, was attacking Wuchang from Yangxin County. The 60th Regiment captured the Daye area on November 29 after fighting Gan Lichu's 93rd Division.  Lime Kiln captured Huangshi Port on the 30th.

Then the regiment fought with Li Jilan's 55th Division, defeated the 55th Division in a short time, and successfully occupied Hubei City.

At this time, the Japanese army had already occupied Yangxin, Daye and Echeng. When the Second Army continued to attack Huangpi, Xiaochang, Xiaogan and other places southward, the main force of the 15th Division also cooperated with the navy's riverside troops, from Echeng.  To the north, along the river bank through Fankou, Hulin, and Duandian, we pursued the 55th Division that retreated toward Gedian.

Among the four Japanese troops in the south and north of the Yangtze River, the 15th Division on the south bank of the Yangtze River poses the greatest threat to Wuhan. As of December 1, this force has reached Gedian, about 30 kilometers east of Wuchang.

Due to the rapid advance of the unit, the 11th Army Headquarters had to order the 6th Division to wait for the arrival of follow-up reinforcements, and then together with the 119th Brigade, quickly attack Hankou from the north bank of the Yangtze River.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
