    Chapter 8 Question

After saying good morning to each other, the two of them walked towards the elevator together.

"Where is Qin Xiaoze?" Shi Jing asked with a smile.

Lu Jiaen pointed at the room with her index finger.

Knowing that Qin Xiaoze was still sleeping, Shi Jing frowned.

"He is really" She sighed, "He has not changed at all in all these years."

As she finished speaking, her eyes suddenly paused and landed on Lu Jiaen's collarbone.

There are several red marks there, which are particularly conspicuous on the fair skin.

Lu Jiaen lowered his gaze and calmly pulled on the sweater.  His fingers casually brushed through his hair, covering that area.

Yesterday, Qin Xiaoze was more patient than ever, with a hint of "You won't be able to enjoy it after tomorrow and you will regret it."

She was still a little sleepy when she woke up in the morning, so she didn¡¯t notice it.

For a moment, the atmosphere was a little awkward.

    That¡¯s when the elevator arrived.

In the elevator, Shi Jing glanced at Lu Jiaen's peaceful profile, and said with a somewhat regretful tone: "I originally wanted to ask you to go to Italy to see the special exhibition together, but it seems we can only do it next time."

"Italy" Lu Jiaen's eyes flashed and he said softly, "There will be a chance."

She met Shi Jing's gaze and smiled slightly.

Shi Jing was stunned for a moment and said hello.

After arriving at the restaurant floor, Lu Jiaen said goodbye to Shi Jing, went downstairs alone, took a taxi and left the hotel.

    *

When the plane landed in City C, it was already past 2 noon.

City C is a city with beautiful scenery and slow pace of life.

After Lu Jiaen¡¯s father, Lu Pingchuan, severed ties with his family, he followed his then-girlfriend Tang Wan back to City C.

Lu Pingchuan became an art teacher at a local university, while Tang Wan worked in a state-owned enterprise.

Soon after, the two got married in City C, gave birth to their daughter Lu Jiaen, and lived a stable and peaceful life.

When Lu Jiaen was a child, he often followed his father around to sketch.  Under the influence of her father, she fell in love with painting when she was in kindergarten.  This hobby has persisted to this day.

When I was in junior high school, my parents died unexpectedly in a car accident.  Since then, Lu Jiaen has been living with her grandparents.

Last year, my grandfather also passed away, leaving only my grandmother and Lu Jiaen¡¯s grandson in the family.

When Lu Jiaen arrived home, her grandmother was busy in the kitchen.

"Grandma, I'm back." She looked inside while changing her shoes.

The two of them live on the second floor of an old-fashioned building, with an ordinary three-bedroom apartment.

The furniture at home has been around for many years and looks a bit old.  The gray-white walls are covered with large and small paintings by Lu Jiaen.  Some of the graffiti are obviously very old, the style of painting is immature, and the paper is curled and yellowed, but my grandmother has been reluctant to tear it off.

Hearing the sound, Song Zhihui trotted out of the kitchen with a smile on her face.

    "We, Tangtang, are back."

Tangtang is Lu Jiaen¡¯s nickname.  It is said that the begonia flowers were in full bloom the night Tang Wan gave birth to Lu Jiaen.

Lu Jiaen smiled and nodded, squatting down to open the suitcase.

"Grandma, I bought some specialties in H City and brought them back for you to try."

Song Zhihui said "Hey", "You kid, you always think about me, an old woman, no matter what you do."

Lu Jiaen stood up with something in his hand and explained with a smile: "I just bought a little, not heavy."

After handing the specialties to her grandmother, Lu Jiaen dragged her suitcase back to her room to pack it up.

When she came out again, Song Zhihui had already returned to the kitchen and was busy.

    "Grandma, I'll come."

Lu Jiaen took the amaranth from Song Zhihui's hand and picked it up skillfully.

¡°Are you about to have your physical examination soon?¡± Song Zhihui asked aloud as she was busy with other dishes.

Lu Jiaen nodded: "I called Dr. Qian for tomorrow."

"Okay." Song Zhihui nodded, paused for a few seconds and then said, "Tangtang, if the doctor recommends we do surgery this time, let's do it."

Song Zhihui's voice was a little worried: "While I can still run now, I can take care of you. If my legs and feet fail in the future, what will you do if there is no one around you when you are in the hospital for surgery?"

Lu Jiaen¡¯s hands picking vegetables paused, and the tip of his nose felt a little sore.

    ¡°Don¡¯t worry, grandma, it¡¯s okay.¡±

"Even if I do it, it's still a minor surgery. Besides, isn't there a nurse?" Lu Jiaen said softly.Talk.  "

Fortunately, I was wearing headphones, otherwise it would be embarrassing for my students to hear.

"And I won't like my students either."

This is the basic code of ethics for teachers.

    Qin Xiaoze chuckled.

    "Then who do you like?"

"Qin Xiaoze is still like this -"

Lu Jiaen¡¯s scalp meridians were tingling, and he saw the boy on the screen puffing up his cigarette and frowning.

    "Like Qin Xiaoyuan?"

As a lesson from heaven and earth, Lu Jiaen has no desire to get involved in the dispute between their brothers.

With her numb scalp, she repeatedly expressed that she had not spoken to Qin Xiaoyuan for a long time.

In fact, she only had more contact with Qin Xiaoyuan during the summer vacation of her senior year of high school.

That was entirely because the security in the Qin family community was too tight. She could only ask Qin Xiaoyuan, who seemed easy to talk to, for help if she wanted to get in.

"I want to listen to you." Qin Xiaoze looked at her expressionlessly, insisting on a clear statement.

Lu Jiaen moved his lips and had no choice but to compromise: "I like you like this."

    Qin Xiaoze chuckled lightly.

On the screen, his outline is sharp, his features are profound, and his eyes are full of ambition.

The young people¡¯s arrogance and energy are written on their faces.

    "I like you like this."

    Lu Jiaen repeated softly.

    ¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù

Today it¡¯s Qin Gou who gets jealous first and then eats sweets.
