When Li Ci got closer, she had a deeper understanding of how powerful the incense was. Because the incense almost choked her, she hurriedly walked around the incense burner.  Behind the incense burner is the temple door. The temple door is wide and can accommodate seven or eight people entering at the same time. The distance between the threshold and the door frame is about two adult men.  The temple door is open, and there is an endless stream of pilgrims coming and going.

Li Ci took Zhao Rongqing's hand and crossed the threshold, then crossed the incense burner placed in the open air, and came to His Highness the Mahavira.  The main hall is where Buddha statues are enshrined. Twelve huge beams are supported under the eaves of the corridor outside the hall.  Stepping into the hall, what comes into view is the majestic statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. The palm of the Buddha's right hand is facing outward, showing the "Fearless Seal"; the left hand is drooping on the foot, with the palm facing outward and the fingertips slightly downward.  , called "Yu wish seal".

The Buddha statue is tall, solemn and compassionate, and its appearance is gold-plated, making it look particularly golden.

"Amitabha, the poor monk Zhixing has met two donors."

As soon as the two of them stepped into the hall, a great monk with a shiny head and twelve ring scars on his head came up to him. He called him "Amitabha" and looked at the old monk with a very kind-faced look. He practiced Buddhism.  Family etiquette, "The two benefactors have come from afar, and I am unable to welcome you from far away. Please forgive me for my sins."

Hearing what he said, Li Ci raised his eyebrows. The great monk recognized them.

But think about it, although they did not publicize it this time, they did not intend to hide their identity. Although the great monk Zhixing is a monk and claims to be pure and secluded from the world, it does not mean that the monk is not popular. On the contrary, he is likely to be sophisticated and tactful.  After all, being able to serve as the abbot of Lingqian Temple, where the incense is so prosperous, and to receive many dignitaries and to be known as an eminent monk, is not something that ordinary ascetic monks can do.

The Buddha's Dharma is profound and the world's principles are smooth. It has both.

"I have met Master Zhixing." Neither Li Ci nor Zhao Rongqing are devout Buddhists, but they are still willing to show respect when they come to their territory.  The two of them also returned the Buddhist etiquette.

"My wife and I have admired the name of Lingqian Temple for a long time, so we came here to pay our respects." Li Cidao.

This is a proper scene statement.

When the great monk Zhixing heard this, the kind look on his face became even higher. He clasped his hands together and said "Amitabha", "This temple is just relying on the support of the world. The benefactor can come, and the poor monk is very happy."

This is also a polite word.

Accompanied by the great monk Zhixing, Li Ci and Zhao Rongqing wanted to offer incense and kneel down.  At this time, the young monk following the monk Zhixing stepped forward and made a "please" gesture.

Li Ci was confused, "What does this mean?"

Monk Zhixing said: "Pilgrims come into the temple and worship my Buddha, and they burn incense and offer it to express their feelings." His eyes moved and he meant something.

Li Ci and others followed their gazes and saw that on the table on the left side in front of the Buddha were various types of incense candles, ranging from ordinary-sized incense sticks to large incense sticks as thick as a child's arm.  There is a more conspicuous sandalwood box next to it, as long as a person's arm and half as tall as a person. It has "merit box" written in red letters on it.

Pilgrims come forward to take incense and first donate some money into the merit box.

Li Ci looked carefully and saw that for a handful of ordinary incense, pilgrims had to throw five cents into it.  Those that are thicker than ordinary incense will probably cost you more money.

She turned her head and glanced at Monk Zhixing, who was smiling impeccably. "Bu!"

No Buddhist temple in Luodu has such rules, and the Buddhist temples in Jiangnan are really good at stealing money.  There is also this great monk, looking at him smiling all the time, it feels like he is holding something bad inside.

"What kind of incense do you want to choose?" Monk Zhixing stepped forward and asked.

"Since we are prostrating, what will happen if the incense is different?" The smile on Li Ci's face could not be gentler, but his eyes were fixed on the monk Zhixing, "They say that my Buddha is compassionate and treats everyone equally. If this is the case, why do I need to do this?"

Zhao Rongqing watched them suddenly start a fight.

"There is no difference, it's just that everyone does what they want."

The Buddha said that all living beings are equal, and he is right.  But "each according to his own heart" is worth understanding.  How to do your best?  The common people have their own way of doing their best, and rich people have their own way of doing their best.

Li Ci lost. She couldn't defeat the great monk, so she had to stare at him silently for a while. When she saw that the great monk was still standing still, she gave up the attack with her eyes.  She wanted to choose the biggest fragrance, but after thinking about the effect of picking it up, she gave up.  Finally, I chose the incense that I could tell by sight was an excellent one. The captain stepped forward and threw ten taels of silver into it, making a loud crashing sound.

Li Ci took the incense, took out nine sticks, and handed them to Zhao Rongqing. He also took nine sticks and stepped forward to light them.  Each of them held a handful of incense in their hands, with solemn expressions. They bowed three times to the Buddha statue, knelt down on the futon and bowed three more times before standing up.  Hezong and Shuhe beside them stepped forward to take the burning incense.Hand, replied softly.

On the other side, the young monk was puzzled by Monk Fang Caizhixing's behavior of deliberately teasing the pilgrims. He didn't understand and asked, "Master, why did you act like that just now and make the donor unhappy?"

In the mind of the young monk, the master has always been a wise and noble monk. When did he care about these yellow and white common things?  Why are you acting so uncharacteristically today?

Monk Zhixing¡¯s eyebrows relaxed and he said with a smile, ¡°I¡¯m the son of an old friend, I¡¯m just thinking about it.¡±

The little monk scratched his head, but the monk Zhixing smiled and said nothing.

Lingqian Temple is located on the mountainside of Yunluo Mountain, with the top of the mountain above it.  Stepping up the stone steps paved with bluestone slabs, you will see lush trees on the roadside and fresh air. Looking from a distance, the outline of Yongzhou City appears in your sight little by little, with white clouds lingering above the city, unlike the ordinary world.  The top is flat, with many exotic flowers and plants, and a living water, which has been turned into a small garden.

When we got here, there were more young men and women.  The arrival of Li Ci, Zhao Rongqing and their entourage was obviously very eye-catching.  They wanted to step forward and talk, but when they saw the dozen or so sword-carrying attendants, they suddenly felt sad.

Generally speaking, young masters from wealthy families can travel with at most four attendants, but the two people in front of them brought a total of eleven attendants, and each of them had a knife at his waist.  People with knowledge can naturally see that these followers are not ordinary people. They have such a magnanimous attitude that only those in the army can have.
