Outside Beicheng Prison, Manjia stood on the roadside, watching Zhong Wenjing approach, pass by, and then hurried away.  After being stunned for a moment, he quickly opened the car door, took out his bag, and said to Luo Youlin,

"You take care of the boss lady, I will follow her."

Dr. Luo was a little confused. Watching her blink, Manjia explained, "We don't know where she is going. If she gets separated, it will be difficult to find her in the huge crowd."

After saying that, he turned around and followed quickly. When he came, he saw a long-distance bus stop at the intersection. Zhong Wenjing should have gone there to take the bus.  Luo Youlin, who stayed where she was, looked at Man Jia's back from a distance, and suddenly remembered what Li Hefeng once said to her: Man Jia, if you get along with her for a long time, you will find that she can always think of things you can't think of.  .

¡°I¡¯m glad I asked Manjia to come with me this time, otherwise I don¡¯t know how bad the situation would have been.  Dr. Luo let out a long breath, turned around, and walked towards Li Hefeng in the distance.

Buses from these places in the outer suburbs came very slowly. Manjia felt that her feet were numb from the cold, so she followed Zhong Wenjing onto a shabby minibus.  The driver asked the person who had just got on the bus where they were going in a gruff voice. Zhong Wenjing, who kept her head lowered, answered with two words in a low voice:

    "Downtown."

Then I paid for the ticket, found a seat and sat down, and nothing happened again.

Manjia, who was standing behind, laughed with the driver.

    "I'm going to the terminal."

The unshaven uncle was very happy. He took the ticket and started driving while humming a song.  Manjia thought for a while, but still did not sit with Zhong Wenjing, but chose the seat behind her.

Not long after the car started driving, a text message from Luo Youlin came, and Manjia briefly talked about the situation here.  There was obvious concern in Dr. Luo's words, and a slight smile appeared on Manjia's lips, telling them to rest assured and just go back to the bar and wait.

Zhong Wenjing has been silent in the car, and there is a sense of desolation in her whole person. Man Jia seems to be able to feel the desolate mood after despair, but it shouldn't be like this.

It was a bumpy ride, and when we arrived in the city, it was already dark.  Zhong Wenjing got off the car at a fork in the road, and Man Jia followed immediately.

Zhong Wenjing got out of the car and stood on the side of the road, obviously at a loss.  Her eyes looked around slowly, as if trying to discern something.  Manjia secretly hid behind a tree not far from her, with half of her head exposed, watching her movements.

After standing for a while, Zhong Wenjing seemed to have calmed down a little and began to walk slowly along the street.  At this time in winter, many shops on the street are closed, and most pedestrians look in a hurry.  No one pays attention to how an inconspicuous person feels when he breathes the free air again after being isolated for many years.

Manjia followed Zhong Wenjing, who was walking slowly, and walked for a long time.  She was filled with a lot of sympathy and compassion, lamenting that this woman, who could be said to be the same kind, would have such an unbearable experience.  She could imagine what a wonderful past Zhong Wenjing and Li Hefeng had, but now, there are only ruins left.

The wind has picked up and it¡¯s already dark.  While Manjia carefully followed Zhong Wenjing, she was thankful in her heart that she had wisely worn a down jacket and snow boots today.

Otherwise, you will freeze like a dog!

Just as he was thinking this, Zhong Wenjing in front of him hesitated and entered a private hotel with lights on.

Live here?  Manjia followed over and looked around. It wasn't a very bad environment, but it couldn't be said to be very good.  Through the glass door, I saw Zhong Wenjing seeming to say a few words to the front desk, and then took out the money and came out, seemingly ready to check in.

Manjia waited for her to complete the formalities and leave the front desk before pushing the door in again.  The little girl at the front desk greeted her warmly.

"Does the beauty want to stay in the hotel?"

    Manjia explained with a smile,

"Hello, I'm a friend of Miss Zhong who checked in just now. She came out to live after having some trouble with her family. I'm worried, so I came over to have a look."

    "Oh, that's it."

"Well, don't ask her anything, just pretend I haven't been here." Manjia said, opening her wallet, taking two pink banknotes, and then putting her business card on the counter together.  Pushed it over,

"Please help me take care of her. If you need anything, please call me. If she checks out, please inform me. I will rush over within twenty minutes. During this time, I must hold her back.  I will definitely thank you very much then.¡±

The little girl at the front desk smiled so hard that all eight of her teeth were visible.

? ??Manjia let out a sigh of contentment,

    ¡°I¡¯m so happy when I¡¯m full!¡±

Raising his eyes to look at her, Dr. Luo did not speak, but the curvature of the corners of his lips remained unchanged.  It wasn't until he finished eating what he had on his hands that he wiped the corners of his mouth and spoke to Manjia,

    "Happiness means having enough food?"

"Of course you do when you're hungry." Manjia took a piece of French fries and put it in her mouth, nodding seriously.

    ¡°What about when you¡¯re full?¡±

"Feeling warm, of course, means thinking¡ª¡ª"

Manjia suddenly stopped and said no more.  Luo Youlin seemed to be smiling, but raised her eyebrows.

    "Um?"

"Ahem!" Manjia cleared her throat, "Eating with the people you like is very happy in itself."

Luo Youlin was a little disdainful and didn't bother to care about Manjia's little tricks to change the subject.  But he didn't block out the tempting thoughts in Manjia's words like before.
