Robert: ¡°How big are their feet?¡±

Selena: "Rhoda wears size 44 shoes and Jessica wears size 38 shoes."

Robert narrowed his eyes, picked up a photo, and looked at it: "Thirty-eight yards?"

Both Selena and Luke could see the photo he held in his hand, but it was a shoe print on the windowsill.

Selena: "Were these shoe prints found on the window sill of the room on the first floor?"

Robert nodded and continued to look at the shoe print.

Luke: "Can you show it to me?"

Robert glanced at him and handed him the photo.

Luke took the photo and looked at it carefully for a moment, and then looked away again, as if he was remembering something. After a long time, he breathed out: "I have seen this shoe print before."

Both Robert and Selina looked at him in surprise.

Luke: "These should be Nike Flex Essential tr. The cheerleading team purchased a batch some time ago as special shoes for team activities. I saw Ximena wearing them." (Please don't take the shoes seriously)

Selena whistled: "You really care about your girlfriend, you even remember the style of her shoes."

Luke rolled his eyes: "Because this pair of shoes is very expensive, Ximena didn't have enough money, so she asked me to borrow a hundred dollars. So after buying it, I took it to have a look and noticed the rice-shaped pattern on the sole.  deep impression."

Robert interrupted: ¡°Where did you get your one hundred dollars?¡±

    Luke: "Keep it secret."

Robert: ¡°Do you believe I deducted your pocket money?¡±

Luke: "Yes. But, I have already started working today. Do you want to deduct my salary?"

Robert: "remember to pay Catherine the food expenses after you get your salary."

    Luke:mmp!

After a few nonsense words, Robert said: "Then Jessica also has these shoes?"

Luke shook his head: "I don't know. This pair of shoes is not compulsory to buy, so those who are interested can pay for it themselves. There is a shoe store that offers discounts for group purchases for events. Specifically, how many people in the cheerleading team bought these shoes, and who  I didn¡¯t even know I bought it.¡±

Robert said oh, but he was not disappointed.

Luke added: "Well, Jessica's family is quite rich, and her father seems to be an accountant in Knox City."

Robert and Selina looked at each other again: This is not obvious, can Jessica afford these shoes?

"Boss, what should we do now?" Selena asked.

Hearing this, what she actually wanted to ask was: Is it time to go find that Jessica?

After all, this girl¡¯s suspicion is really high.

Robert tapped the table a few times: "Wait for me to make a call."

He didn¡¯t use his mobile phone, he made a call directly from the landline and started talking.

Luke was stunned for a moment as he listened. He approached Selena and lowered his voice and said, "Robert is so brutal in handling cases?"

Selena glanced at him with a chuckle: "That's because he believes in you."

Luke immediately cried and said, "But I'm just guessing, and I don't have much confidence. I told this information just to give him another direction to investigate. Why did he get involved so directly?"

Selena curled her lips: "Don't worry, we just asked the girl back in the name of assisting the investigation, and we didn't come with an arrest warrant. Robert is not as stupid as you think."

¡°You said that, I didn¡¯t say anything bad about Robert.¡± Luke suddenly changed the subject.

Selina was stunned for a moment, and then she saw Robert who had hung up the phone beside her, staring at her with a dark expression.

She didn¡¯t know yet that she had been tricked by Luke.

Robert just glared at Selina, and then said: "Selena and I will go to Knox and bring Jessica back for questioning. Luke, you'd better read this file here.  I can find something more useful."

    Luke nodded: "Okay."

He followed the two of them out of the office, and stood there reading the file for a while. Suddenly, Luke felt something was wrong: "Oh, where is my desk? You should tell me before leaving."

But Robert¡¯s car probably left the town. He could only shake his head helplessly and walked to the reception desk in the lobby in front of the police station: ¡°Oh, beautiful Mary, can you tell me where my desk is?¡±

In front of him was a white woman in her forties. She was not wearing a police uniform, but aOrdinary clothing.

Hearing his question, the woman who was busy on the computer raised her head: "Oh, it's you, you sweet-mouthed little devil. Robert didn't arrange a desk for you? Oh, those two people leaning against each other in the left corner after entering  Zhang, the empty one is yours."

Luke smiled and thanked: "Whose is the one next to me?"

Mary was surprised: "Selena's. Don't you know? That idiot Hank resigned. He was Selina's partner before. Of course, their desks were in the same place. The vacant desk was Hank's before  The one I used."

Luke suddenly said: "Ah, that's it."

Mary looked at him: "You don't know that Selena wants to partner with you, right?"

Luke slapped his forehead: "I know, Mary, but I just didn't react right away. Thank you very much for the reminder."

Mary smiled and said: "Do you want me to help you clean it up? That idiot Hank still left some things there."

Luke: "No, no, you're very busy too. I know, I can just do it myself. Oh, are there any empty cartons? I'll just put all those things in the cartons."

Mary: "Yes." After saying that, she hooked her foot under the counter at the reception desk a few times, then pulled out a medium-sized cardboard box and grabbed it for him.

"Thank you, you really helped me a lot." Luke smiled and waved, and re-entered the office lobby inside.

Finding the empty table in the corner, Luke looked at it and found that Hank actually didn¡¯t leave much stuff here, probably some knick-knacks that he didn¡¯t need and was too lazy to move.

Luke threw the box under the desk casually, because he felt that the desk was enough for him to use now, and he was not in a hurry to clean up.

When this case is over, he should have a lot of free time to do such trivial matters.

Luke opened the file on the table and read it carefully page by page.

In less than half an hour, he had finished flipping through the files.

There is not much content in this file, which is just some general information about the on-site survey. More detailed data will have to be sent after Knox's forensics department completes it.

He didn¡¯t find anything new. After all, the information he just provided was because the suspect was familiar with him, including recognizing the Jessica who slipped away quietly and the shoe print in the file.

He is not a detective. Although he now has a mentally retarded detective system, he is still an ordinary person.

After thinking about it for a while, he finally felt hungry, so he could only sneak to Robert's office and take out a lunch prepared by Catherine for the two of them from the small refrigerator.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
