    Chapter 51

The little kitten was lying in the cage. The light coming in after Jiang Li pushed aside the paper shell made it move its body. It raised its eyes slightly to look at him and called out weakly again.

The hair on its body was dirty, wet and sticky, and one of its front paws was still wrapped in gauze, making it look awkward and weak.

    This is an injured kitten.

When Jiang Li saw this, he squatted down without saying a word, lifted the cage from the side of the trash can to the clean ground, opened the cage, reached out and took the little guy out of the dirty cage, not caring at all that it was dirty.  Stainless filth.

Chi Fang squatted down and asked strangely: "Where did the cat come from? It's so dirty."

"It must have been abandoned." Jiang Li held it in his hand, looked at the cage, and found that the filth should be the kitten's vomit. He judged that it might be sick, so he said to Chi Fang, "Can you help me?"  Can I go back to your house and get a clean towel?¡±

    "You wait a moment."

After Chi Fang finished speaking, he ran upstairs and came down quickly with a clean towel and an extra paper box.

"Thank you." Jiang Li laid the towel on the bottom of the box, carefully put the little guy in, picked up the box, and said to Chi Fang, "I'll take him to the hospital first, and I'll treat you to milk tea next time."

Chi Fang glanced at the little guy lying motionless in the box, thinking that going to the hospital would definitely cost a lot of money, and Jiang Li probably didn't have much money on him, so he said, "I'll go with you."

    "good."

The two took a taxi to the nearest pet hospital to the community. On the way, the little guy vomited twice more. When Jiang Li called him, he stopped responding. If it weren't for his weak breathing, Jiang Li almost thought he had left.  .

"Hold on a little longer." Jiang Li said to it softly.

When they arrived at the hospital, Jiang Li hurriedly got out of the car with the box in his arms. Chi put the box behind him and followed after him after paying the money.

After seeing the dying little guy, the doctor's expression immediately changed. While instructing the nurse to prepare the rescue equipment, he said sternly to the two of them: "Why did you bring it here like this? Do you want to die?!"

The doctor¡¯s scolding made Chi Fang a little unhappy: "What did you say? This is not"

    "Excuse me."

Jiang Li stopped him and said to the doctor: "We came too late. Please save it."

Seeing his sincere attitude, the doctor's face improved a little, nodded, and entered the emergency room.

Jiang Li and Chi Fang couldn't go in the rescue room, so they could only watch from the outside window. When Jiang Li held the kitten, he rubbed some of its vomit on his hands. After cleaning it in the bathroom, he returned to the window to watch.

After the rescue, the little guy initially determined that the disease was caused by a bacterial virus infection, with vomiting and incontinence. The exact cause requires a full set of examination results. In addition, there are traces of fractures on the left front paw, which should be caused by high altitude.  Caused by a fall, the situation is very unhappy.

"This situation shouldn't have happened in a day or two. Why did you bring it here now?" The doctor frowned and sounded very dissatisfied. If it had been a step later, the little guy would have died. "Since you have raised it, you must treat it well."  Be responsible, you are disrespecting life!"

"We just picked it up today, okay? Don't just do it indiscriminately."

After being criticized twice in a row, Chi Fang became angry and started to fight back.

The doctor was stunned: "Isn't this your cat?"

"It belongs to us." Jiang Li whispered from the side, looking at the doctor firmly, "From today on, it belongs to us. Please save it, please."

"I will." The doctor nodded, a little embarrassed that he had blamed the wrong person, "I'm really sorry, I wrongly blamed you, but the little guy's condition is more serious, so you should be mentally prepared, and the cost is also more expensive."

At this point, he saw that Chi Fang and Jiang Li were young, at most high school students, and said, "There are traces of treatment on the little guy. I guess it was sent to the hospital by its previous owner.  But it is very likely that the child was abandoned because the cost of treatment was too expensive, so I suggest you better discuss the cost of treatment with your parents.¡±

Jiang Li looked at Chi Fang. Chi Fang knew what he meant. He came here because of this, so he said to the doctor: "I understand, just save him."

The doctor saw that he didn¡¯t dress like a child from a poor family. Since he didn¡¯t mind, he didn¡¯t say anything more and asked the nurse to take them to see the little guy.

The little guy was placed in an incubator with a?Very attentive and thoughtful.

On the day when the little guy was picked up from the hospital, Jiang Li also went with Chi Fang.

The little guy screamed sweetly when he saw Jiang Li, lying on the edge of the cage and looking at him with big watery eyes.

Jiang Li was so heartbroken by what he saw that he opened the cage and put it on the cotton cloth on the table. The little guy obediently rubbed his hand and scratched his palm with its soft claws.

The soft hair rubbed against the palm of his hand, a little itchy. Jiang Li looked at the little guy who had regained health and vitality and approached him, and gently touched its head: "It's so good."

Chi stood aside and looked at him with a low eyebrow and a slight smile on his face, with a doting look on his face. He felt a little uncomfortable for some reason and felt that he was being ignored. He also reached out to touch the little guy, but who knew that he was dumped as soon as he touched it?  One tail.

"Holy shit?" Chi Fang grabbed the little guy and said, "What you eat is all the money I spent. How dare you show shame to me?"

"Meow!" The little guy struggled to break away from his grasp, but his strength was too weak. After struggling several times, he could only ask Jiang Li for help.

"Okay, stop making trouble, it's just fine." Jiang Li rescued the little guy from Chi Fang's hands, squeezed the soft flesh of its paws soothingly, and scolded Chi Fang, "Just like a cat, it's okay.  You don¡¯t feel ashamed either.¡±

    Chi Fang: ""

The little nurse next to her looked at the interaction between the two, covered her mouth and smiled, and asked aloud: "The little guy hasn't picked a name yet, have you thought about it?"

"Think about it." Chi Fang said, "It's called heartless."

¡°What nonsense are you talking about?¡± Jiang Li raised his eyes and glanced at him.

The little guy seemed to know that Chi was trying to bury himself, and he yelled at him twice with his teeth bared in protest.

Chi Fang gave it a middle finger, looked at its white hair, and remembered the pot of glutinous rice and white sugar porridge that the old man cooked in the morning, and said casually: "Just call it Nuomi, and the one you picked will have your last name, Jiang Nuomi."  .¡±

Jiang Li touched the little guy's hand and suddenly looked up at him: "What did you say?!"

"I said call it ginger glutinous rice."

¡ª¡ªJiang Zhan, let¡¯s give the little guy a name. What do you want it to be called?¡ª¡ª

    whatever.

¡ª¡ªDon¡¯t be like this, think about it quickly.

    ¡ª¡ªGlutinous rice¡ª¡ª

    Why?

¡ª¡ªI had glutinous rice porridge in the morning.

¡ª¡ªThat¡¯s enough for you, but it¡¯s quite suitable because it¡¯s so white, so I decided to call it Jiang Nuomi!

Chi Fang's words were like a knife, cutting a hole in the self-righteous protective shell in Jiang Li's heart. Those fragments and conversations deep in his memory hit him unexpectedly, drowning him.

Chi Fang was shocked when he saw him burst into tears without warning: "Why are you crying?!"

Jiang Li swallowed back his tears several times when he thought about the previous world, because he knew in his heart that just as the system said, the previous world was over. No matter how reluctant he was to leave, Jiang Zhan no longer existed, and maybe even  He is just a bunch of data in this game.

However, knowing is one thing, whether you can let go is another.

Unless your memory is erased by the system, how can you forget someone who has been in love with you for a lifetime so easily.

Seeing Chi Fang's helpless look, Jiang Li lowered his head and took a deep breath, suppressing the soreness and pain in his heart, and said in a hoarse voice: "It's okay, I'm just too touched."

"Moved?" Chi Fang didn't know why, "What moved you?"

"Yeah!" Jiang Li nodded vigorously and looked up at him, "Because you not only paid for the little guy's medical treatment, but also gave him a name. I was very touched after hearing this."

    "What's so touching about this"

As Chi Fang said, he felt a bad premonition inexplicably. Sure enough, the next second he heard Jiang Li say: "I did not misjudge the person, Chi Fang, you are really a good person!"

    Chi Fang: ""

Damn it, why are you crying when you send me a good guy card?
