Christmas Eve is a very important day. Ordinary families will get together and enjoy the joy of family reunion.  Families with a larger population may even hold celebrations such as a masquerade.

There were enough people in the fishery, and Qin Shiou originally wanted to hold a masquerade party, but later he discovered that everyone was actually enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of chatting and drinking beer together, rather than actually having any crazy fun.

The fishermen are past the age of playing, and the children like it, but they prefer to set off fireworks, which they don¡¯t usually have the chance to do.

In Newfoundland in winter, it gets dark very early. Starting in the afternoon, gorgeous fireworks and sharp sounds appear in the sky of the island.

This frightened the little beasts in the fishery, and they kept running and hiding. The deer and wild boars all obediently returned to the small farm. The poultry were much more stable. They gathered the panicked chickens, ducks and goslings under their wings.  Sleep or sleep.

The climax of Christmas Eve is the event held in the church-the Christmas Eve Mass.

Farewell Island is a Protestant and does not attach much importance to Mass. Generally, Orthodox Christians pay special attention to this.  Qin Shiou didn't know much about the differences between Catholicism, Orthodox Christianity, and Protestantism. He just joined in the fun and did whatever everyone else was doing.

Dinner started when the sky darkened at six o'clock. Winnie called back the children who were setting off fireworks on the lawn, and everyone began to enjoy this sumptuous dinner.

Qin Shiou waited for the children to take their seats and said, "Do you want to say something? For Miranda, Fox and Winnie, I think you have seen how hard it is for them to prepare this dinner, right?"

He was indeed very grateful to his eldest sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Originally, their family was going back to celebrate Christmas, but his eldest sister-in-law was married and should accompany Armand to his parents' home for the holidays.

But when Winnie decided to stay at the fishing ground for the holidays, Miranda, Fox and others also decided to stay, of course to take care of Winnie.

Now that the relationship between Winnie and her family has almost recovered, at least Winnie and the Fox sisters can sit together and watch "The Big Bang Theory" and laugh together.

Shirley, Powell, Gordon and Michelle stood up and kissed the foreheads of Miranda, Fox and Winnie one by one. This was a blessing from the Son of God, and it was also very particular.

Qin Shiou asked them to kiss him too, but Shirley hugged King Simba and came up to him.

After King Simba was well fed and clothed warmly, he finally gained weight. His long hair was fluffy and he looked plump. He had a round face ready to be cute and coquettish. Shirley carried him to Qin Shiou and he immediately jumped up.  She puffed up her cheeks and made a balloon expression to look cute.

Qin Shiou pinched its chubby cheeks and said helplessly: "I really don't understand, is this guy a lynx or a coffee cat? Shouldn't it rely on its hunting skills to make a living?"

The little carrot head was lying at Winnie's feet. When he saw Simba acting cute again, he curled his lips in contempt. The tiger and the leopard lay on Qin Shiou's knees and stood up. They raised their heads and knocked Simba away, resolutely not allowing it.  Successfully cute.

After dinner, Qin Shiou¡¯s family went to the town church to attend mass. The event was divided into two events, one held from 9 to 10 pm, and another high mass at midnight, which was the climax of Christmas Eve.

When they drove to the church, it was already crowded with people, and there were several devout believers standing at the door.

The mass was presided over by the old priest Green. Qin Shiou sent Winnie in. There was a seat in the front row for pregnant women, and there was an empty seat next to it. It was originally reserved for the bull's wife Anna, but she obviously couldn't come, so Qin Shiou sat down.

Pastor Green stood in front of the alms hall, holding the Bible in one hand and gesturing on his chest with the other, and said in a low voice: "the Lord makes us rejoice every year in anticipation of salvation. Tonight we know that the Lord will send  Come and redeem us, and tomorrow morning we will see the glory of the Lord. All living creatures will see the salvation of our God"

The pastor¡¯s reading of a sentence will calm down, and the following believers will read along. Qin Shiou, with a solemn face, also followed the crowd to read. Although he is not a believer, in this situation, it is obviously better to respect everyone¡¯s beliefs.

At half past ten, the mass ends. Everyone either goes home or chats in twos and threes, and then waits for the highlight, the midnight mass.

It is said that the Midnight Mass in the Vatican can attract 40,000 to 50,000 devout believers. There will be stage plays to perform classic stories from the Bible, and the Pope will pray for believers around the world.

The midnight mass in the small town is much simpler, but there is also a stage play at the beginning, showing the birth of Jesus in the stable.

Behind the scenes, the small town choir led the townspeople in singing a hymn, "Praise to Our Lord and Father"", Qin Shiou leaned back a little at this time. He couldn't sing, so it was a bit embarrassing to stand in the front, so it was better to be an audience at the back.

Then, it was time for Pastor Green to take control of the field. This kind of high mass must have a theme. Pastor Green gave a short speech. He talked about the topics he and Qin Shiou had discussed before when they met at the community hospital, and talked about the view that "goodwill is God"  .

This cannot be said in the Orthodox Church, because the Orthodox Church emphasizes the supremacy of God. It does not matter the Protestantism. The Protestantism emphasizes justification by faith and everyone can be a priest.

After the speech, everyone continued to sing hymns and read the Bible, praying for their families, friends, and every Christian brother and sister.

When Pastor Green prayed, he specifically mentioned Qin Shiou and prayed for him and the fishery, which moved Qin Shiou.

At midnight, the high mass ends, and Christmas is approaching. Pastor Green waves his arms, and believers in black robes ring the big bell.

The crisp bells spread to all directions of the island, conveying forgiveness, blessings, joy and happiness to every corner of the town.

After returning, Qin Shiou put the children to sleep while he, Wei Ni and Auerbach prepared gifts.

The children had been playing wildly for a day, and due to their usual routine, they were already very sleepy. After returning home, they lay down on the bed and fell into a deep sleep.

Qin Shiou put the small gifts he prepared into the socks on their bedside. If the gift was too big to fit in, he would put a key, and the gift box was hung on the Christmas tree at the door.

In the morning, it was time to open the gifts, and cheers rang out one after another. Qin Shiou and Wei Ni gave a gift together. They gave Miranda and Fox a piece of black pearl jewelry each, and gave Mario a carbon fishing rod.

The gifts given to the children were quite creative and were thought up by Qin Shiou and Wei Ni together. They gave Powell a rein, Shirley a light and comfortable seat, and Gordon  It was a sled chassis, and the one given to Michelle was naturally the sled frame.

?? These things are combined to form a sleigh.

Qin Shiou looked out the window regretfully and said, "It's a pity that it didn't snow on Christmas, but after it snows next time, I think you will use them, right?"

"But, Qin, where are we going to find reindeer? The reindeer in the fishery are too small, they can't pull the car."

Qin Shiou looked at Pineapple, who was eating grass boredly. The latter raised his head warily, always feeling that something bad had happened (Remember this website's website address: www.hlnovel.com
