    Chapter 31

Jinglan picked up the sword, took off the lantern, sat back at the table, and asked, "Have you eaten yet?"

It turned out that she was not about to draw the sword. Luo Yuanqiu breathed a sigh of relief and replied: "Okay."

Jinglan handed over the lantern, and Luo Yuanqiu took it and thanked him. After taking it, he felt something was wrong. He lowered his head and saw that the flower branches on the lampshade were facing left. It was not the one he had just carried.

After all, the lantern was just for lighting, so she didn't think otherwise. She followed Jinglan out of the room, went downstairs to the garden, and saw a burst of mist in the night, floating gently on the grass and trees, and gathering towards them.  The surroundings were dim and hazy. Luo Yuanqiu raised his hand and waved. The mist dispersed a little and then slowly came closer. However, it seemed that he was afraid of the lantern in her hand and only covered it weakly.

    Jinglan said: "Go this way."

The two of them walked in the thick fog, using only the lanterns in their hands to disperse the fog. They were surrounded by confusion. The pavilions, pavilions, and covered bridges under the moon seemed to have disappeared, and even the sounds of people and music no longer existed.  Luo Yuanqiu walked in the mist and only heard the footsteps of the two people.  The mist passed before her eyes, and when she looked at Jing Lan's back, she felt that the scene seemed a bit familiar.

This thought flashed through her mind and disappeared before she could think about it further.  Luo Yuanqiu couldn't help but feel a little upset, and subconsciously grabbed Jing Lan's sleeve.

Jinglan didn¡¯t even look back, he let her sleeves be pulled by her, and said casually: "Are you afraid? This mist can disturb your mind. Just watch the lantern and walk away. Don't look around. Then everything will be fine."

Luo Yuanqiu walked quickly to Jing Lan, walked side by side with her, and asked, "Why did you take my lantern?"

Jing Lan raised the lantern and said, "How do you know it's yours?"

"The flowers are different." Luo Yuanqiu felt something was wrong with him, but he couldn't describe what was wrong at the moment.  It¡¯s just that the words in my heart can¡¯t seem to be hidden, and I need to express them with my mouth. ¡°And, where are you taking me?¡±

Jing Lan suddenly laughed and said, "Don't you think it's a little late to ask now?"

Luo Yuanqiu's voice was blurry when he heard her voice, his thoughts were getting confused, and he stopped in a daze. The lantern slipped from his hand and was about to hit the ground and go out, but someone grabbed it.

Jing Lan placed both lanterns on the ground, reached out and pushed her hair behind her ears, held her chin and looked at her for a moment, then said calmly: "Who are you?"

Luo Yuanqiu¡¯s eyes were dull, he looked at her blankly, and said without hesitation: "Luo Yuanqiu."

Jinglan rubbed his thumb on her lips for a moment, as if thinking about something, and then asked: "No, Luo Yuanqiu has died long ago. Who are you?"

Who would have thought that when she asked this question, Luo Yuanqiu's eyes shone a little, and he blurted out: "You're the one who died!"

Jinglan smiled slightly, raised the burning incense in his hand, and blew it on her nose. Luo Yuanqiu's brows furrowed, then gradually relaxed, and he unconsciously let her play with it, answering whatever she asked.

Jinglan looked down at her, ran his fingers along her eyebrows, and murmured: "Senior sister"

Luo Yuanqiu¡¯s eyelashes fluttered and he immediately hummed, answering quickly and naturally.  Jinglan's hands trembled, then he laughed, his arms passed around her waist, hugged her in his arms, and whispered: "Senior sister."

After a long time, she asked coaxingly: "Senior sister, do you still remember the second junior sister? How is she now?"

    Luo Yuanqiu said: "Dead."

Jing Lan touched her hair, pursed her lips hard, and said, "Have you ever thought about her?"

Luo Yuanqiu said: "I thought about it."

Jinglan¡¯s arms around her waist tightened, her fingers couldn¡¯t help trembling, she buried her head in her neck, her nose brushed against the warm skin, and she whispered softly: ¡°I miss you too, senior sister.¡±.

    "Cough cough cough cough cough!"

Luo Yuanqiu was so dizzy that he almost threw the lantern in his hand and coughed on a rockery stone for a long time.  Jinglan handed her a handkerchief and said, "Are you okay?"

Luo Yuanqiu took it, covered his mouth and coughed again. After a long time, he straightened up, looking at the gathering fog with lingering fear, and said: "What is that thing? Did I really come out of here? How come I don't know anything at all?"  Can¡¯t remember?¡±

Jing Lan said: "The fog can confuse people, so it's natural that you don't remember it. I said before, look at the lantern, did you not listen at all?"

Luo Yuanqiu thought about it guiltily, as if that was really the case. He waved his hand and said, "Forget it, luckily we have come out. This fog is really strange."

Jinglan stretched out his hand to help her and said casually: "It is said that a spell has been set in this mist. Anyone who enters will be in trouble forever if they don't have this lantern in their hands."?Can't get out.  "

Luo Yuanqiu shook his head and denied: "It's impossible, it's definitely not a spell."

Jinglan said: "How do you know it's not a spell?"

Luo Yuanqiu seemed a little surprised when he heard her voice, and said vaguely: "Anyway, it can't be a spell or a talisman. It must be something else."

Jing Lan didn¡¯t ask any further questions. Luo Yuanqiu rubbed his eyes, held up a lantern and asked, ¡°Where are you going? Haven¡¯t you arrived yet?¡±

    Jinglan said: "It's almost time."

The two of them passed through a dense forest. When they came out, Luo Yuanqiu looked up and found that the sky was slightly bright, but it was hazy, like it looked like when waking up in the morning.  A cool breeze blew over his face, and a light mist floated over. Luo Yuanqiu remembered what happened just now, and took a step back, only to be held down by someone's shoulder.

Jing Lan said: "This is Tianguang Ruins, and the fog is just ordinary fog. Don't worry, keep walking, we will be there soon."

Luo Yuanqiu didn't quite believe it, so he fanned himself with his sleeves and found that it was just as Jing Lan said, nothing happened.  The two walked for a while, and the morning fog suddenly dispersed, and their eyes suddenly became clear.

A lively long street appeared in front of them. If not for the people walking there carrying such a lantern in their hands, it would be almost the same as a street market in the world.

Everyone wore a white paper mask on their face. Luo Yuanqiu saw someone selling it at the entrance of the street and asked Jinglan: "Should we also wear one?"

Jinglan pressed the bamboo hat on her head and said, "Don't worry, they can't see your face."

Luo Yuanqiu was about to ask why, but Jing Lan took her hand and said, "It's very inconvenient to speak here. If you have something to say, you might as well wait until later."

Jinglan pulled her into a shop. The shop sign was rotten and hung diagonally, as if it could be smashed down at any time.  Opening the curtain, a boy stood in the door. His cheeks were painted bright red, he was wearing a blue robe, and he had a couple of blessings embroidered on his chest. He didn't know what it meant.  He held a feather duster in his hand, tilted his head and yawned. When he saw someone coming, he just glanced sideways and said lazily: "Wait a minute-"

Luo Yuanqiu stopped and looked at him with interest.  The boy flicked the feather duster and said to her: "Purple lanterns are useless, our store only accepts people who are destined. You two don't look alike."

He was young but spoke in an old-fashioned way. Luo Yuanqiu looked at him curiously and followed his words and asked, "What is a destined person?"

The boy did not answer, but faced Jing Lan and said, "This guest, if I remember correctly, you broke into our store once last year, and it seems you also broke into our store the year before" He counted with his fingers, frowned and said, "Seven  Year, you have been in this store for seven years and have never come in. Now, can you just bring someone in?"

Jing Lan said: "We have to form a relationship if we don't have a destiny. Otherwise, how could there be so many destined people in this world?"

The boy said: "This is none of my business, but if you want to enter, you can try the Wind and Moon Formation again."

After saying that, he continued to stand aside, holding the feather duster and saying nothing.

Luo Yuanqiu asked in a low voice: "What formation is he talking about? Why haven't I heard it?"

Jinglan seemed to be hesitant and said, "Forget it, come back next time."

The boy snorted coldly, as if he looked down on them.  Luo Yuanqiu was a little unhappy. He took Jinglan's hand and said, "Let's go and see what kind of magic circle this is."

Jing Lan was pulled by her, Luo Yuanqiu pointed to a door with a happy word on it and asked, "Is this the magic circle?"

She didn¡¯t think deeply about why there was a happy word on the door. There were weird things everywhere in this place. There were so many weird things that she got used to it.  She took Jinglan's hand, pushed the door open, and stepped in.

Who would have thought that it was not a store inside, but a long corridor with oil lamps placed on the walls on both sides. Looking up, it looked like a waterfall of light pouring down.

Luo Yuanqiu said to Jinglan while watching, "Have we passed the magic circle?"

Suddenly she felt her hand being held tightly. She couldn't help but look down and asked, "What's wrong with you?"

Jinglan raised the corners of her lips and did not answer. He just held her hand and laughed softly.
