"Fourth brother, fourth brother and sister, we have a guest at home!" Not long after finishing lunch, Cheng Jinyue heard Mrs. Xu's shout from the yard.

Since Xu Mingzhi came back as a scholar after passing the exam, there have been many visitors to the house.  However, after two very sumptuous wedding banquets, the folks in the village stopped coming to the house spontaneously, but they would be extremely warm-hearted when they met outside.  But at this moment, Sister-in-law Xu specifically named the two of them, and there was obviously something fishy.

Glancing at Xu Mingzhi in surprise, Cheng Jinyue patted Fu Bao and Lu Bao who had just fallen asleep, got up and went out.

A step ahead of Jinyue, Xu Mingzhi came to the yard.  Then, he saw Cheng Jinyue's stepmother and younger brother.

"Brother-in-law!" Waving towards Xu Mingzhi, Cheng Luyi's eyes lit up and his tone was very excited.

Cheng Jinyue was not very happy.  Especially after seeing not only Cheng Luyi, but also her stepmother Wu.

"Girl Jinyue hasn't returned to her parents' home for a long time. As a mother, I was really worried that girl Jinyue wouldn't be used to living in Xujia Village, so I came here to visit Xujia Village." Seeing Cheng Jinyue's face sinking, Wu  Shi's mood immediately improved, and he put on a gentle and generous posture.

¡°I¡¯m being courteous for nothing.¡± Cheng Jinyue curled her lips and her voice was not loud, but it fell right into Xu Mingzhi¡¯s ears.

"My mother-in-law came here as soon as she came, so why did she bring gifts? It's really strange." Grandma Xu didn't like Mrs. Wu.  When the two families were talking about getting married earlier, the Wu family had a very condescending attitude and looked down upon the Xu family.

When Cheng Jinyue later married into the Xu family, Mrs. Wu even acted like she never wanted to see the poor relatives of the Xu family again, which made Grandma Xu feel aggrieved and angry.

From that time on, Grandma Xu secretly made up her mind not to have too many interactions with people like Wu in the future.

It was also because Cheng Jinyue gave birth to a child. Grandma Xu just passed the letter to the Cheng family, and there was no following.  After that, the Cheng family never came to visit Cheng Jinyue at home, and Grandma Xu didn't express any dissatisfaction.  If Cheng Erniang hadn't looked down upon it and ran to the Cheng family to ask for those things, Grandma Xu would never have mentioned the Cheng family at all.

"Aren't you feeling sorry for Jinyue girl? Although this girl is not my biological child, she was raised by me. My love for Jinyue girl is no less than that of my three children." Of course Wu didn't want to come to the Xu family.  He's just a rural farmer, so why should she take the initiative to show her kindness?  The Xu family rushed to curry favor with her, a talented lady.

However, she never expected that Xu Mingzhi would also pass the examination!  But her son especially wanted to be friends with Xu Mingzhi!

For the sake of Cheng Luyi's future, no matter how unhappy Mrs. Wu was, she could only lower her face and visit him in person.

"What my mother-in-law said is true. My fourth daughter-in-law is really loved by others. Ever since she married into our family, I have always loved her as my own daughter. Even though our family is just a farmer in the countryside, we have never had any work outside the home.  Let the fourth daughter-in-law get her hands on it. She only needs to eat and drink well every day and be served by our whole family." Even though Grandma Xu is just an old country woman, her vision has never been missed.  .  She could see through Wu's pretentious and hypocritical drama at a glance.

"Yes, really?" How could Mrs. Wu have imagined that Cheng Jinyue could live such a comfortable life after being married?  Not even doing the work at home?  Wouldn't that be even better than the life before getting married?

Listening to Grandma Xu¡¯s words, Mrs. Wu felt like she had been slapped hard, and her face was burning with pain.

"Of course it is. This is also thanks to my mother-in-law for raising my fourth daughter-in-law well. It is really a blessing for our family that such a delicate girl is willing to marry into our family and endure hardships!" Grandma Xu's words are definitely sincere.  Just thinking about Fu Bao and Lu Bao makes Grandma Xu happy.  As for everything else, Grandma Xu is really not very demanding and is willing to support Cheng Jinyue.

Mrs. Wu felt even more uncomfortable.

Before Cheng Jinyue married into the Xu family, she did not specifically inquire about the actual situation of the Xu family.  She was particularly satisfied when she heard that the Xu family lived in the countryside.  And when I heard that Xu Mingzhi had five brothers in his family, it became even more impossible for Wu to object.

Wherever there are people, there is right and wrong. There are five sisters-in-law!  They are all country women with little experience, and they all know that each of them is a difficult and aggressive master.  With Cheng Jinyue's temper, it would be strange if she didn't completely offend the other daughters-in-law of the Xu family.  By then, it would be impossible for Cheng Jinyue to have a good life.

But the fact before her now is that Cheng Jinyue actually lived a good life in the Xu family, and was even worshiped as an ancestor?  This fact is very different from Wu's thoughts, which really makes Wu angry.

&What Cheng Jinyue taught her had never heard before.  However, it does sound very good, and Fubao and Lubao also like it very much.

Seeing that Grandma Xu successfully coaxed Fu Bao, Cheng Jinyue also made Lu Bao laugh, and Xu Mingzhi, who was standing aside, couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed.

"Hug me again." Unintentionally noticing the discomfort flashing in Xu Mingzhi's eyes, Cheng Jinyue raised the corners of her mouth and handed the Lubao in her arms to Xu Mingzhi again.

"He will cry." Xu Mingzhi said without nodding or shaking his head.

"It's okay, I'm here." Cheng Jinyue's tone was very confident and convincing.

Xu Mingzhi hesitated for a moment, but finally took Lu Bao again.  It's just that his posture is very stiff, and he is even more nervous than taking the imperial examination.

Amused by Xu Mingzhi's appearance as if facing a formidable enemy, Cheng Jinyue immediately began to help Xu Mingzhi adjust the posture of holding the child. While explaining various tips, she softly comforted: "I didn't know how to do it at the beginning, it was my mother who taught me. Husband.  It will be good if you give me more hugs, Fubao and Lubao are both well-behaved." (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
