In the early morning of the wedding day, Rong Fanghua was awakened from her sleep by the alarm clock.  She got off the bed with bare feet, walked to the window, and opened the curtains with a swish.

It was just dawn, and the earth was enveloped in a dreamlike layer of light indigo.  Looking through the window, it seems that everything has sunk into the sea.  And when the window was opened, the fresh, moist spring breeze full of rose fragrance flowed into the bedroom, taking away the agarwood after burning in the room, and the happy chirping of birds one after another also reached people's ears.

Rong Fanghua stood by the window wearing thin pajamas, taking a deep breath of the cool air, trying to calm her nervous and excited heartbeat.

"The weather is so nice." Rong Fanglin came over wearing a big scarf and wrapped his sister together.  The two sisters smiled and cuddled in front of the window, looking at the cloudless sky.

"I'm getting married." Rong Fanghua murmured softly, "I didn't expect that I would only live in this home for sixteen years. But when I think about it, I have actually stayed here for sixteen years, and it feels like a long time.  .¡±

"So, you should look forward to a new life." Rong Fanglin said, "You and Yun Chi, in the new house, look at the completely different scenery and strive to live a completely different life at home."

"Will you?" Rong Fanghua was a little hesitant, "Yun Chi, won't you think it's a burden to marry me?"

"You are no one's burden." Rong Fanglin hugged her sister hard, "Do you still remember the future ideals we both said? I want to study economics, and you want to study medicine. We vowed to be independent and fulfilling  New women have their own social definition and are not just someone¡¯s wife or someone¡¯s mother.¡±

    Rong Fanghua nodded seriously.

"Even if you get married, don't give up your ideals." Rong Fanglin smiled and said, "We sisters will work hard together to live a wonderful life. We will not be anyone's accessory, and naturally we will not be a burden to anyone."

"Okay!" Rong Fanghua reached out and hugged her sister tightly.

"Come." Rong Fanglin touched her sister's hair, "I have to hurry up and dress you up, bride!"

The sad face swept away, Rong Fanghua showed a shy smile, and was pulled into the dressing room by Rong Fanglin.

In this early morning when the birds were singing and the flowers were fragrant, everyone in the Rong Mansion woke up early, dressed carefully, and prepared to go to a grand wedding that was destined to leave an unusual memory for everyone.

Rong Jiashang was wearing a crisp suit and tie, while he carefully looked at the thin and solemn young man in the mirror.

He was a little surprised to find that there were faint Sichuan lines between his eyebrows at some point, as if they were caused by frowning too much recently.  Once shallow lines appear, they won't disappear.  Although inconspicuous, it adds a touch of maturity and dignity to this young face.

Mrs. Rong was sitting in front of the dressing table, choosing jewelry to match her peony purple cheongsam, but her eyes fell on a small photo folder in the jewelry box.  In the black-and-white photo, the young couple had soft smiles on their faces, especially the woman, whose blurred eyebrows were still full of newlywed happiness.

It¡¯s like a lifetime ago.  In the blink of an eye, she and Rong Dingkun have been married for almost eighteen years.  The woman in the photo has become the philistine and kitschy lady in the mirror, with tired eyes and drooped mouth corners.  Calculation and loneliness crushed her once straight back, and repeated disappointments and pains left wrinkles on her face that even makeup could barely cover.

Today, her concubine is getting married.  She was just like Rong Fanghua back then, young and beautiful, and full of tender longings for marriage.  The wedding day was the happiest pinnacle of her life.  It's like climbing a high mountain, standing at the top, looking at the earth, taking in all the magnificent scenery, and then walking all the way down, falling into the dust.  From then on, you rely solely on the beautiful scenery you have seen to support you through every boring day in your life.

Mrs. Rong smiled faintly, picked up the photo folder inlaid with pearls and crystals, and threw it to the bottom layer of the makeup box.

The aunt helped Rong Dingkun put on a brand new smoky crystal-colored silk gown with longevity characters. She buttoned it up and praised it profusely.

"My master looks really rich and elegant in what he is wearing today. You look much better these days than before. You really feel refreshed on happy occasions."

Rong Dingkun sat lazily in his wheelchair, enjoying the flattery of his old concubine.  His hair was taken care of meticulously, his beard was shaved cleanly, and there was a careless smile on his fair and plump face.

"I didn't expect Fang Hua to be the first girl in the family to get married." The aunt was so excited that she was getting married today. She didn't sleep well all night. Her eyes were red, swollen and moist. She didn't know how many times she had cried behind her back. "Ever since she was born,  I just worry about herA beautiful figure in blue.  The two people's eyes met in the air, they had a clear understanding, and the corners of their lips involuntarily raised a lingering smile.

"As long as it's the one you truly love, everything is worth it." Rong Jiashang murmured.

Wu Yunchi rolled his eyes in disgust at him.

Amidst the melodious sound of the pipe organ, the twin girls of the Rong family, dressed like fairies, walked to the altar with flower petals scattered on them.  They didn't know that their biological mother had passed away, they just thought that she was ill and had returned to her uncle's house.  The little girl likes weddings, and she also serves as a beautiful flower girl. Both sisters laughed very happily.  Only insiders saw the child's smile and couldn't help feeling sour in their hearts.

Low exclamations rang out as the bridesmaid Rong Fanglin walked over in a flowing and floor-length pink gauze skirt, with a rose wreath on her head and flowers in her hands. She walked over lightly and gracefully step by step.  After the New Year, she became one year older, and her facial features became more delicate and brighter.  At this moment, she was smiling brightly, with joy and shyness in her eyes. She was like a fairy in a flower, her face was radiant, and the guests present burst into astonishing gasps of admiration.

Rong Fanglin stood at the other end of the altar and immediately saw Feng Shizhen.  Master and disciple looked at each other and smiled.

The wedding music sounded and the guests stood up one after another.

At the end of the aisle, Rong Dingkun was pushed in a wheelchair by a footman and led Rong Fanghua.

Rong Fanghua¡¯s white gauze covered her face, and her face could not be seen clearly. She wore a gorgeous wedding dress like misty flowing clouds, with a long skirt trailing behind her.  Rong Dingkun smiled lovingly, like the most ordinary good father who married his beloved daughter.  He didn't look sideways and didn't see the Meng family uncles and nephews in the crowd. He didn't pay attention to the Feng family brothers and sisters. He took his daughter to the front of the church and handed her daughter into Wu Yunchi's hands.

The guests took their seats.  The pastor spread out the Bible and began to read.

Everyone¡¯s eyes were focused on the newlyweds, and even Feng Shizhen and Rong Jiashang stopped looking at each other.

Feng Shizhen looked at Rong Fanghua's back with mixed feelings, and could see that she was trembling slightly because of nervousness.  She couldn't help but think of that unbearable rainy night, the girl's crying, and her calm analysis of her relationship, marriage and life on the phone.

This sixteen-year-old girl, in order to secure a better future, jumped into marriage without hesitation and married a man who was sympathetic to her but not necessarily in love with her.  What her future will be like, Feng Shizhen cannot tell.  I only hope that this girl, who has always been optimistic and cheerful, can maintain her perseverance and open-mindedness, stick to her heart and face it bravely no matter good or bad times.

¡°¡Now, I declare you to be husband and wife.¡±

The moment the ceremony was completed, the church bell rang, and the guests stood up and cheered and applauded.

Wu Yunchi smiled, lowered his head, put his arms around Rong Fanghua's waist, and gently kissed her petal-like lips.  #####(Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
