The next day, the autumn rain continued and the temperature dropped sharply.  The last trace of summer heat was finally driven away, and what was left was a long period of coldness and dampness.  The sweet-scented osmanthus in the courtyard is blooming more enthusiastically, and there are heavy clusters of flowers under the leaves. The fragrance is pungent and makes people a little unbearable.

Feng Shizhen realized that he was short of clothes when he went out. He was too lazy to go back and add more clothes, so he had to bite the bullet and sit on the rickshaw to enjoy the cold wind.

The pier on the Bund is crowded with people and noisy.

The roads were crowded with compradors from trading houses, porters carrying burdens, students traveling, and wives bidding farewell to their husbands.  Donkey carts carrying goods were rushing around, and car drivers were honking their horns angrily.  Two French policemen blew loud whistles and waved sticks to drive away the crowd and make way for two cars belonging to Cheng Liang.  Pickpockets scurry among the crowd, and once they succeed, they slip away like a fish into the sea, leaving the owner to curse in vain.

The sweat of the laborers, the perfume of the ladies, the soot from the cars and boats, and the salty sea water mixed into a strange smell, which spread in waves and then dissipated as the crowd surged.

The harbor is filled with ships of all sizes, and beautiful and huge foreign cruise ships stand majestically in the drizzle, like a moving building.  The cargo ship honked its horn and emitted billowing black smoke as it slowly left the dock.

???????????????????????????? Ladies in gorgeous dresses stepped out of beautiful cars, protected by footmen, holding small umbrellas, standing on the pier staring at the sight.

A middle-aged man in a suit stepped off the boat. His wife and children cheered and threw themselves into his arms.

Feng Shizhen, sweating profusely, squeezed out of the crowd and looked longingly at the guests lining up to disembark.  The rain was getting heavier, and she didn't bring an umbrella, so her head, face and shoulders were soaked wet.

    "Brother!"

    "Third sister, here!"

    "uncle¡ª¡ª"

The crowd couldn¡¯t help but cheer.  Relatives and friends reunited, hugged and laughed, and left hand in hand.  The people around Feng Shizhen gradually became sparse.

Brother, did you get off the boat first?

Feng Shizhen wiped the rain off his face and sneezed.

She remembered that when she was a child, her mother took her to pick up her eldest brother from school, and she waited eagerly at the door like this.

They have a very good relationship as brothers and sisters. Even if they are separated for half a day, they will hug each other tightly for a while when they see each other again.  Feng Shixun went to school for a week. Feng Shizhen counted the days at home every day and had to hold his eldest brother's pillow to sleep.

But looking left and right, all the students have left, and the eldest brother is nowhere to be found.  Xiaoshi was so anxious that she wanted to cry.  At this time, someone pinched her ears from behind.

Feng Shizhen turned his head sharply.

    "big¡¡"

The man laughed, hugged her tightly and spun her around.

Feng Shizhen hugged his brother's waist, breathing in the warm and familiar breath coming from the other person's body, and his heart finally fell back to its original place, beating strongly.

Her eldest brother is finally back!

"Look!" Wu Yunchi patted Rong Jia on the shoulder with his glove and pointed in the distance, "Isn't that that female gentleman from your family? Who is that man?"

    Rong Jiashang frowned and looked.

On the other side of the crowd, Feng Shizhen hugged a tall and handsome man tightly, his face was so excited that he almost cried.  The man laughed and touched Feng Shizhen's face. He kept pushing her into his arms and rubbing her around.  If it weren't for the crowded dock, he would definitely grab Feng Shizhen and kiss him hard.

"His lover?" Wu Yunchi looked like a tabloid reporter, "Look at the intimacy!"

Feng Shizhen hugged the man and buried his face in his arms, seeming to cry.  The man patted her back, lowered his head, and placed his lips on the top of her hair, his face full of tenderness and doting.

Rong Jiashang turned around with a cold face, "She said he was coming to pick up his eldest brother today."

"Brother?" Wu Yunchi expressed doubts, "He must be a lover. I'll bet you ten dollars."

"Boring or not?" Rong Jiashang rolled his eyes, "Aren't you going to pick up your aunt's family? Where are they?"

"Here we come!" Wu Yunchi stood on tiptoe and waved, "Second aunt, this way!"

A bejeweled fat lady led four gorgeous fat ladies and broke out from the crowd, majestic and high-spirited, like a landing commando.

"Fourth cousin!" The cousins ??shouted in unison, and all stared at Rong Jiashang next to Wu Yunchi, showing expressions like a hungry dog ??seeing a fat chicken.

A drop of sweat hung on Rong Jia¡¯s forehead.

Feng Shizhen and Feng Shixun squeezed out of the crowd and grabbed a rickshaw that had just unloaded passengers. The brother and sister squeezed together and called another one.He asked, "My face is very unkind."

"He's a worker from a tobacco company." Feng Shizhen said, "He's actually quite nice. He usually helps his mother move coal, and he never brings anyone back. I don't live at home, so I think it's better to have a man at home. Dad  Mom is old"

Feng Shixun nodded, "I will visit Liu Shishu tomorrow. He is very enthusiastic. He sent me two telegrams when I was still on the ship, saying that he had found a position for me at the Red House Hospital. Regardless of whether he is a formal doctor or not.  , at least it is a job and a salary. From now on, I will bear the burden of the family."

"One person carries half of it." Feng Shizhen said, "My mother has always wanted to move away from here. I also think that for a better environment, maybe my father would be willing to quit smoking."

The brother and sister discussed their future lives for a while. Feng Shizhen saw that it was getting late and wanted to return to the Rong family.

"Shizhen," Feng Shixun sent his sister to the street and looked at her seriously, "If you have anything to do in the future, you must discuss it with me. Remember, we are brothers and sisters. Don't bear it alone."

"I know." Feng Shizhen smiled gently at his elder brother.

The rickshaw pulled Feng Shizhen away gradually.  She looked back and saw Feng Shixun's tall figure still standing under the street lights on the street, like a statue watching over her.

    Feng Shizhen¡¯s eyes were hot.

Her big brother is back, her guardian is back.

But she still has to walk this road alone.  #####(Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
