    Chapter 24

The demolition of Zhuque Lane has been rumored since last year. It was temporarily stopped after a fire. It was not until the intervention of Hengyu Real Estate two years ago that the demolition work was officially launched.

The urban development of Jicheng has been extremely rapid in recent years. The resettlement houses far away from the edge of the city cannot absorb the huge number of demolished households. The compensation fee is too low. For the residents of Zhuque Lane who want to buy commercial housing in the city, the only way to buy a commercial house is to live with a family.  Go into debt.

The area around Zhuque Lane is full of old residents and factory workers. Originally, they lived in shabby houses with roof tiles to cover their heads. Even in some families where both husband and wife were laid off at the same time, they could make a living by doing some small business.  But if the tile covering the head is lifted, they will have to face the problem of food and accommodation, which is nothing more than adding insult to injury.  Therefore, the residents of Zhuque Lane have been cowardly and resorted to procrastination to compete with the real estate company.

In mid-April, the city held a demolition mobilization meeting. "Urban construction is a general trend, and it is inevitable to sacrifice the interests of a small number of people." Immediately, every household on Zhuque Lane West Street received a demolition notice, and it must be completely demolished before May 1.  .

As a result of the compulsory administrative order, all residents of West Street united and broke out the most intense police-citizen confrontation in Jicheng's history.

Chen Wan received a call from her aunt and hurriedly asked for leave and hurried home. Before she reached the front street, she was blocked by a crowd of people and a horse.  The road has been blocked and it is impossible to pass.  Nearly a thousand police officers, many of them riot police armed with batons and shields, lined up in several human walls; iron horses, wolfdogs, and fire trucks were equipped with high-pressure water cannons for driving away crowds, and Red Cross ambulances were waiting in the distance.  Opposite the human wall were several thousand residents, many of whom came from Dongdajie to support, holding large banners and confronting the protesters in silence and solemnity.

Chen Wan remembered that there was a small alley that led back to the front street, so she struggled to squeeze out of the crowd of people who were watching the excitement.  The Zhuque Lane area was interspersed with countless cold alleys. She was almost raped when she was 16 years old, which cast a shadow on her, but she couldn't care less about it today.

Walking to the opposite street, I was shocked to see the flamboyant car parked on the curb. The annoying figure was leaning lazily on the car, looking at the other side intently with his arms folded, ignoring the scattered crowds around him.  He looked around curiously.

The ghost lingers.  Chen Wan cursed secretly and planned to go around from behind him.  Qin Hao had seen her earlier, and stared at her for a few seconds with a slightly sideways face, as if hesitating, then lowered his head and said something to the driver in the front seat, and then walked towards her.

She couldn't avoid it and stopped immediately.  In addition, he was impatient and asked him in a very rude tone: "Why are you here?"

"Watch the excitement. Such a big scene is rare." Then he asked: "You are not in school at this time, what are you doing here?"

He spoke sarcastically and had a sarcastic smile on his lips. Chen Wan thought he was laughing at the residents of Zhuque Alley for not knowing what they could do. She felt even more resentful and felt that any more words she said to him were nonsense.  Without answering, he turned around and walked towards the corner of the gable next to a house. There was a path that only allowed two people to pass through.

Qin Hao didn't know where he had offended her again. When he saw her putting on a disgusted face, a bad breath filled his heart. He wanted to go back to the car, but his feet followed her steps into the alley.

If West Street is not demolished, the residents of East Street will always have a wait-and-see mentality.  Qin Hao has only taken over a few yards on East Street in the past six months, and they are not close to Qian Street. It is very unsatisfactory.  Hong Jianxue's Hengyu was unable to break the deadlock if he delayed entering the game.  Some time ago, he instructed his father, Qin Zhonghuai, and his subordinates to submit a research report to the city on how the subway would drive economic and business districts along the line. When the old man found out, he cursed in a deep voice, "Nonsense," but his tone was not very harsh.  Jicheng is a sub-provincial city, and the province plays a very small role. The attention he received after the report was submitted was beyond his expectation.

Qin Hao has no grand ambition to contribute to Jicheng. He just beats the drum from the side and asks Hong Jianxue to speed up his actions.  His plan to bring you on board was a success. The city has included the subway construction plan in the bill, and Hengyu Real Estate is already eager to try it.  Zhuque Lane is at the west end of Jicheng, within the main line from west to east, and the subway is really ready. The prospects of this land are not comparable to those in the past.

Qin Hao came to the scene today with the mentality of watching the fun.  He finally saw how ruthless Hong Jianxue was. The construction area and demolition compensation assessment were decided unilaterally with a notice without consultation between the two parties. It would be strange not to cause trouble.  He is not a person with an unlimited sense of justice. From the perspective of personal interests, he hopes that the boy will be more ruthless and demolish the West Street side and start construction as soon as possible, so that he can fish in troubled waters on the East Street side.

Chen Wan didn¡¯t understand what he was doing behind him. He was thinking about home and walking like flying.  He followed step by step behind, and even after turning several corners, he didn't get rid of him.

He clenched his fist and sneered, "It's really hard to hear a word of thanks from you."

"I was so anxious that I forgot to say thank you." She lowered her eyes, and when she raised her head again, he was startled as he had barely seen her smiling face, "Thank you for today. But I'll be sorry to cause you more trouble." If it wasn't that  How could she accept his help and accept his love after being so panicked for a moment?  "You're right, I am indeed a fool."

Qin Hao stared at her polite but distant smile with cold eyes. A thick fog rose from the deepest part of his heart, which could not be wiped away and would not dissipate, blocking his breathing.  The loudspeaker in my ear is still shouting hoarsely: "You have violated the "Public Security Management Punishment Regulations"" (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
