    Chapter 8

In the early stage of the college entrance examination, Chen Wan did not have the anxiety of ordinary candidates. The class teacher praised her for her general style, and Chen Wan smiled calmly.  Her life suddenly reversed direction more than three years ago. Where she will be and what she will do in the future is no longer under her control. The only thing she can control is to try her best to take every step she takes.

In order to let her sleep well, her uncle and aunt would close the shop at seven or eight o'clock every night, and they wouldn't even dare to turn on the TV.  Chen Wan lay on the small bed at night, listening to Xiaoyu's steady and deep breathing coming from the other side of the board, and thinking about what her uncle said that day.  My uncle is not as educated as my father, and his words are not as consistent as his father's.  But the words are simple and extremely responsible.

She has never doubted her father's love for her, but - for what unspeakable reason did he choose a dead end?  When he stood on the roof of the ninth floor and jumped off, didn't he think about her at all?  Have you never thought that she will be the only one left in the world?  He cowardly chose to escape and left her cruelly.  What would he do if he were his uncle?

The examination room was at No. 15 Middle School. Fang Cunzheng sent her there and waited outside the school gate.  On the last day, he saw her slowly walking out behind the others with a relaxed smile. He also relaxed, and then felt that the muscles that had been tense for several days were particularly sore.

"Would you like to go somewhere to celebrate?" he asked cheerfully.

"Go home, my uncle and the others are waiting." Chen Wan also pursed her lips and said with a smile.

She looked at Fang Cunzheng's profile.  His facial features are not handsome, but the strong look in his eyebrows adds to the rugged handsomeness of many men.  He never said he liked her and how he wanted to develop a relationship with her, but for the past two and a half days, he had been waiting outside the door.

If she had grown up according to her previous lifestyle, Chen Wan would not have taken a second look at someone like Fang Cunzheng. After the sudden change in her fate, she realized how innocent she had been in the past, and how ridiculously arrogant she was.  She is no different from the so-called "princes" who were arrogant and rude in front of Fang Cun during the Spring Festival. She just has a good father, and is nothing without the aura of giving from her fathers.  On the other hand, Fang Cunzheng is struggling at the bottom of society. Regardless of whether they can get ahead in the future, their vitality is amazing.

Because of the wings of fate, the two of them flapped slightly and reached a point where they met.  Will they continue in parallel in the future, or will each move forward in its own direction?  She has never loved anyone and doesn't know what it feels like to fall in love with someone.  If it's like in TV and movies, where the sky is thundering and the earth is burning, and love is till death do us part, then she is just grateful to Fang Cunzheng, plus a little bit of love.

"Have I become more handsome?" Fang Cunzheng touched his chin, "You looked at me for five minutes."

"You're a bit handsome. No wonder the monkey says that the most popular one in Tang Hui is pestering you every day."

"Don't listen to monkeys." His face changed.

"So what? Isn't it good to prove that you are popular?"

He gritted his teeth, "If it makes you jealous, it doesn't matter if I take the blame. Even if it doesn't happen, the monkey will use it to bullshit you."

¡°Don¡¯t say bad words,¡± she yelled at him.

"This Dan is not that egg." He muttered, feeling uneasy thinking about it, and then said: "It really doesn't happen, don't think about it."

"Exactly. If I don't look down on people with colored glasses, you really can't find a girl in your bar. It's not easy for your mother to raise you. Your daughter-in-law must find a gentle, kind, virtuous and good person who can take care of others."

"Like you?" Fang Cunzheng glanced sideways at her, feeling happy.

She regretted it after saying this and quickly said, "I can't do it. I have a bad temper. Just ask Xiaoyu. When will he not be beaten by me?"

"Xiaoyu also said that I like to be beaten, so we are matched." He said with a smile.

    "What did you say?"

    "It's nothing." He concealed it.

Fang Cunzheng understood that neither Chen Wan nor Chen Wan's uncle liked his "work".  He can change, he is now moving step by step to a place where he can see the light, it just takes time.  Fortunately, they are both young. When she graduates from college, he will earn money and stand proudly in the sun.  At that time, who can stop it?  "I just asked you which school you want to apply for?"

At that time, Chen Wan estimated that her score would give her a sure shot at getting into Dongda University.  Dongda ranks high among universities nationwide and has good overall conditions.  The key is that the cost of living in the province is low and you can take care of your family.  "Eastern University."

Fang Cunzheng had been worried that Chen Wan would go outside the province. It was too difficult to predict what would happen in four years.  IfThe street is very close.  The family walked out of the store and saw flames burning on West Street.  It was summer, and the heat had not dissipated in the evening. Chen Wan accompanied her uncle there. As she got closer, she felt that the heat wave was even more steaming.  The fire was so fierce that when the fire truck arrived, it had already spread through four or five houses.  By the time the fire was brought under control, the houses had been burned to rubble.

There was a buzz of people all around and the scene was in chaos.  The onlookers were talking a lot. Some said that the nail shop on West Street was burned, and some said that there was something fishy going on and someone must have set the fire on purpose.

After the fire was completely extinguished, the onlookers gradually dispersed.  The air is still filled with lingering smoke and burning stench, as well as people's helpless sighs.

People who caught fire sat on the road guarding the only belongings they had snatched. The men¡¯s eyes were empty, and the women were holding their children and crying.  When Chen Wan returned to her store, the woman's shrill cries were still echoing in her ears.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
