Kevin turned over from the bed with difficulty. He had a very restless sleep and had many dreams.  Among them, he dreamed that John Shane agreed to join his show. He also dreamed that the show finally came back to life this year after he took over, and the ratings exceeded the peak when the first season was launched.

However, a dream is a dream after all, and the joy in his heart calmed down. After realizing that those were just his obsessions, the loneliness and disappointment that followed swallowed him up when he woke up.

Because in reality, John Shane declined his invitation in a tactful but clear way when the sun was shining brightly, and said [sorry] to him.

For this rejection, Kevin was not too surprised.

John Shane came to China to work hard under the Chinese name "Shang John". He can be said to be one of the most successful musicians in China in recent years, and one of the few recognized by the Chinese music circle.  There are many foreigners, so there are quite a few supporters, and the call to be nominated for next year¡¯s China Golden Melody Awards is still very high.  Based on this, he doesn't have many works in the United States, but he is also recognized as a figure at the top of the American music circle.

As a successful American singer, why should he return to China to participate in his music show with increasingly low ratings?  Kevin totally understands.

It¡¯s just that Kevin is in his prime and has finally taken over a show. As the chief director, he plans to show off his talents, but he still has a little ambition in his heart.

Kevin spent most of the day on the plane and traveled across the ocean to China. He decided to make an invitation to the other party in person, so he went straight to John Shang's home as soon as he got off the plane.

Shang John was also very polite. He warmly entertained Kevin and thanked him for his expectations and recognition. However, he did not agree due to scheduling issues.

After saying goodbye to each other, Kevin found a hotel nearby in disappointment and fell asleep.

When you wake up again, it will be now.

He looked out the window, thinking he slept until dawn the next day, but the noise outside the window proved that it was dusk now.

"Sigh." Kevin sighed, his hands weakly pushed himself up, and he sat there in silence for a few minutes before climbing out of bed.

He came to the bathroom, turned on the faucet, and mechanically poured water on his face. He roughly wiped his face with both hands and rubbed it vigorously until his skin turned slightly red, which he considered as a face wash.

He casually put on a large suit jacket and went downstairs to prepare for dinner.

The hotel Kevin lives in is not too far from [New York Street].  He was treated to an expensive and authentic Chinese cuisine by Shang John for noon, but the sad Kevin missed eating with a knife and fork very much at this moment, so that it could bring him some comfort in a foreign country.

This was not the first time for Kevin to go to New York Street in Shanghai. He found an American restaurant with ease. After a delicious meal, he planned to spend the night with his friends, put aside the frustration of the failed plan, and put aside the troubles.  Leave the headache until tomorrow.

The friend Kevin was planning to contact was a DJ whom he met at a music festival in China.  Kevin remembered that the other party said that he worked in a bar on New York Street in Shanghai.

¡°I don¡¯t know if I¡¯m still here.  ¡¿Kevin thought about it, looked through his address book, and made a call.

"Hey, Kevin." Kevin's name was clearly called out from the other side. This was the first good news for him today.

"Hey, Alex, how are you?" Kevin said gently with a smile.

After some pleasantries, Kevin learned that the other party was still working in a bar on New York Street in Shanghai.  Kevin explained the purpose of his visit and planned to go to the other party's bar to have fun.

"Welcome. I'll say hello to the security guards. Just tell them you're here to see me and just come in." Alex said enthusiastically on the phone.

"Thanks, brother. I'll be there in a moment. I'll wait for you at the counter." Kevin hung up the phone and slowly finished all the desserts in the restaurant before wiping his hands and shaking his head.  He wandered out of the restaurant and walked toward the bar.

¡°Kevin was walking on the streets of New York, and he was surrounded by several beautiful young Americans dressed in youthful clothes. They spoke fluent Chinese, but their English was jerky and weird. Kevin was used to this.  I remember when he first came here, he grabbed a young man and asked for directions. In the end, they actually had to communicate in Chinese to communicate with each other.

Kevin finally came to a bar whose name was translated into Chinese as "Polaris". There was a long queue in front of the store. The security guards were two tall white men in neat suits. From time to time, they put their hands on their ears and listened.  Wave and let some customers gosp; ¡¾Humph.  ¡¿His Kevin wanted to see which shameless Chinese artist couldn't survive in the Chinese circle based on his ability and wanted to steal the food of foreign singers.

"Gentlemen and ladies, allow me to introduce you here. Wow, he was once a popular idol all over China. Now after his comeback, he is even more popular on the Internet. Let us invite you - Han Jue!  We¡¯re bringing a performance of English songs! Yes, in English! Oh!¡±

As a DJ, Alex guest-hosted the show, playing exciting music through the console to arouse the atmosphere.  In this atmosphere, foreigners, whether they knew Han Jue or not, cheered.

    The superficial work is enough.

I heard that it was Chinese artists singing English songs, so some interested customers started to look forward to it.  The uninterested customers were just watching the fun, wondering if Han Jue might boo him later if he didn't sing well.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
