Walking down the stairs into the subway station, there was nothing but a mess inside.

With the power lost, the entire underground space was pitch dark. Fortunately, Li Yunpeng and others were second-level evolvers. Although they could not see very clearly, they could barely make out a rough outline.

Logically speaking, since the subway has just been built and has not yet been put into use, there should not be many people below it when the apocalypse breaks out. However, the large number of footprints on the ground shows that there are still human beings living here.

"Don't zombies come underground?" Ren Xiao asked in confusion.

Li Yunpeng thought thoughtfully, "I'm afraid, they really won't come. The energy blocked underground affects their evolution. Maybe they won't take the initiative to go underground out of instinct."

"Okay, let's go quickly, I don't want to stay in this place for a minute."

Li Yunpeng was amused. Ren Xiao must have claustrophobia. Otherwise, why would he be afraid of invisible things and dark and closed environments?  Knowing this weakness of his, I will lock him up in a small dark room if I ever make him anxious again. It won't take him a long time to ensure his honesty.

A group of people walked eastward along the tunnel, there were only two directions, there was no possibility of getting lost.

¡°Brother Peng, you must make arrangements for me to have skewers this time when I go back.¡± Ren Xiao, who was walking in the middle of the team, said.

Li Yunpeng had a headache. He didn't know how to eliminate the zombie threat in front of him. This grandson was too heartless, but his temper was normal. Making him a manager was like harming him. He was afraid that he would be entangled in trivial matters and not be free.  .  Sometimes Li Yunpeng envied him for being alone and without worries.

"Okay, you get two mutated beasts, and I'll let Xiao Hong take care of it and have a mountain barbecue."

"What? Xiaohong? That pretty girl of yours? Forget it, Dezi and I will roast it, you can enjoy it by yourself." Ren Xiao was afraid of trouble and women. When he heard that Xiaohong was here to take care of it, he shook his head.  It's like a rattle.

"You are so ungrateful. Dezi is a person who can make stainless steel kitchen utensils rust. One of you is good at cooking, and the other dares to eat."

"You don't understand. If you're a man, you shouldn't care about those details."

Li Yunpeng was a little speechless. The two brothers just had the same chemistry.

"Stink?" Li Yunpeng sniffed his nose, "Do you smell any stink?"

Others smelled it carefully and found that it was indeed there. They followed the smell and found that it was coming from a maintenance passage. The outside was blocked by a wooden door. Li Yunpeng cut the chain with a knife and opened the door. He saw that there were piles of corpses piled up.  .

"Damn it, thiswas killed by someone?" Ren Xiao said.

The corpses were piled on top of each other, at least two or three meters high, covering the entire passage, exuding a putrid smell.

"It seems that there are a lot of stories here!" Li Yunpeng said coldly.

He didn¡¯t stay too long. He closed the wooden door and walked forward, groping in the darkness. Ten minutes later, when he approached the second platform, a faint fire came from the front.

"Touch over and have a look."

Li Yunpeng is a brave man. As long as he doesn't encounter a group of level 3 zombies, nothing can threaten him.

After turning a corner, the tunnel was actually piled up with debris. There was a gap in the middle that could only allow one person to pass through. There were braziers burning on both sides, and two men with earthen guns stood guard.

    "Stop, tolls!"

Seeing that Li Yunpeng and others showed no fear, one of them stretched out a hand and said.

"Toll?" Li Yunpeng was a little confused. He asked for toll without asking where he came from.

    "Oh, I"

Ren Xiao was about to fall out when he heard that a group of second-level peak evolvers were collecting tolls.

Li Yunpeng pulled him behind him and asked with a smile: "What is the toll?"

"Young master, you are pretending to be stupid with me. You don't even know the rules of the dungeon and you still dare to run around?" The man raised his gun and said with a threatening tone.

"Brother, please clarify." Li Yunpeng took out a bag of chocolate track that he carried with him.

When the man saw Li Yunpeng coming up the road, he stuffed the chocolate into his pocket, and his expression softened a little, "I saw that you guys haven't been out before. The toll is food. Our 18 stations in the underground city are divided into 18 strongholds. You have to pay when passing each other.  Toll for a pound of grain.¡±

Li Yunpeng then understood what was going on. He took out a pack of compressed biscuits and said, "Do you think this is okay? It's 270 grams, but it has high energy and a long storage time."

This man¡¯s eyes lit up. Compressed biscuits are a good thing. Don¡¯t look at it like this. Even if you exchange two kilograms of grain, you can¡¯t get enough. He leaned closer and whispered: ¡°Brother, do it up there.¡±?  Any more?  "

¡°Yes, there are some, but the quantity is not large. There are just a few dozen packets that were divided among the brothers.¡±

"Hehe." The man's stern face was filled with a smile, "If you do this, more than 40 people give me 20 packs of compressed biscuits, and they will be used as tolls."

"No problem." Li Yunpeng winked, and the squadron leaders took out 22 packs of compressed biscuits from their backpacks and handed them to this person, "Brother, here are 22 packs. I want to ask you something. The extra two packs will be treated as hard work."  It¡¯s a waste.¡±

"Haha, brother, you are so open-minded, just ask." The man said with a smile when he heard that he had two more bags. Facing more than 40 men with knives, although he had a gun in his hand, he did not want to offend anyone to death.  Okay, just accept it when you are ready.

"Actually, it's nothing. Brother, just give me a brief introduction to the situation in the dungeon."

"Hey, what was my question at that time? You may have asked the right person. When it comes to the 18 strongholds in the dungeon, there is no one who is more familiar with it than me, Lao Yang."

"When the apocalypse began, many people took refuge. Strangely enough, these zombies never took the initiative to go underground, so people continued to come down from above."

"The underground space is so big, and it is slowly being occupied by some bosses. Our stronghold is the 16th stronghold, controlled by Brother Tao. He has strong soldiers and horses. Each stronghold has a passage to the top, so I want to go to the city.  People collecting supplies in different areas have to move back and forth, just like you, do you understand?"

Li Yunpeng was stunned for a while. It was just as he thought before. Different environments create different ways of living.

"When I came here, I passed by a passage filled with corpses. What was that?"

Lao Yang said nonchalantly: "Those people, some did not dare to go outside to collect items, and died of starvation, and some were beaten to death due to conflicts in the stronghold. Anyway, the dead people in the underground city are all there, so they have to be dealt with centrally, right? The space is closed.  It cannot be burned, and the smell will be unpleasant if left untreated.¡±

"Hey, brother, you asked too many questions about these two packs of compressed biscuits. If you ask more questions, the price will increase." Lao Yang said.

"Hahaha, I just finished asking questions, see you later." Li Yunpeng said.

Lao Yang was stunned for a moment and was about to reach out. Are you done asking?  But since Li Yunpeng had already said it, he couldn't stop it anymore. He just looked at the people's leaving figures and rolled his eyes.

After entering the door and walking another hundred or ten meters, the narrow space was crowded with people. The sides of the rails were in chaos. Most people were lying numbly, with some cardboard rags simply spread under their bodies. Walking further in, they appeared near the platform.  Some tents can be regarded as rare "luxury houses" in the underground city.

The platform is blocked off, and there are many armed guards standing on the edge. It should be the private territory controlled by this stronghold.

Li Yunpeng was hesitating whether to go up or not. The guard at the edge of the platform suddenly raised his head and made way for a passage.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
