Wait until the bell rings for the end of the last exam.  Xiao Man lay on the table as if he was exhausted and could not recover for a long time.

It’s true that I have been too tired these past two weeks, and I slept no more than four hours a day.  She worked on questions and read books non-stop from morning to night. Several times she suspected that her head was going to explode.

The reason why Xiaoman worked so hard was because she found that besides herself, everyone else around her was also studying hard.  Xiao Man never felt that he was much more talented than these geniuses, so he always pushed himself to work harder and be more careful.

But these days, the study room in the School of Science building is overcrowded. Whenever you open the door, you can see that it is full of people.  After eating in the morning, she planned to go to the examination room earlier, but it turned out that there were many people who had the same idea as her. It was difficult to find a seat in the examination room where there was no one around.

Xiao Man was stimulated to the point where he felt even more urgent and did not dare to relax at all. This string had been tight for a month, and today he was finally able to loosen it.

After handing in the papers, everyone else left the examination room, except Xiao Man who was still lying on the table.

“You’ve been taking exams for so many days, are you tired?!” Teacher Shi walked up to Xiao Man and smiled kindly.

"Teacher Shi." Xiaoman quickly stood up and said hello politely.

The last exam was electromagnetism taught by Teacher Shi, so it was invigilated by Teacher Shi with Chi Lili who volunteered.

"It's okay, sit down and sit down."

Xiaoman smiled and insisted on standing and talking to him.  She was able to take the special recruitment examination of O University and enter Teacher Zhao's laboratory. Every step was thanks to Teacher Shi's help. Xiaoman has always been grateful to him.

"Xiaoman is really amazing. He earned four years of other people's credits in one semester." Teacher Shi sighed.

Xiaoman lowered his head and smiled sheepishly, raised his head and looked at him and said seriously: "Thanks to Teacher Shi, I can have this opportunity."

"No need to thank me," Teacher Shi waved his hand, "You are good enough. I feel very lucky that I can bring Xiaoman to the physics department of O University. Xiaoman, are you interested in coming to our laboratory to study?  Graduate student?"

    "Huh?" Xiao Man was stunned.

Chi Lili, who had already sorted out the papers at the back, shook her head helplessly when she heard this, "Teacher, please don't tease Xiaoman, otherwise she will have to think about how to reject you all night today."

"Hey, who said you have to reject me? It's the same for rejecting Lao Zhao. How can you destroy the ambition of our laboratory and increase the prestige of Lao Zhao and his laboratory." Teacher Shi said dissatisfiedly as he looked at his students.

"Okay." Chi Lili nodded perfunctorily, "How about you wait for me to take Xiao Man to dinner to bribe her, and then when I come back, I can persuade her to abandon the dark side and join the bright side to join our laboratory?"

Teacher Shi shook his head dumbfounded, "Okay, go ahead."

Chi Lili said to Xiaoman helplessly: "Teachers really become more childish the older they get."

Xiaoman smiled, remembering that Wang Shan had said this to Teacher Zhao before.  It can be said that both teachers resolutely gave up their generous lives abroad and returned to China to start over when the country was in its most difficult times. They are both admirable scientists.

"Maybe it's because the teachers have always had an innocent heart." Xiao Man said.

"That's right." Chi Lili nodded thoughtfully.  "Let's go, let's go have a big meal today."

"Okay." Xiaoman raised his hand in response.

The two of them went to the cafeteria to have a good meal together. Xiaoman also bought two extra bottles of soda, one each for Chi Lili as a reward for persisting in passing the exam.

Back to the dormitory at night, Xiaoman climbed into bed and slept until noon the next day.  After waking up, he stretched and resurrected with full blood.

Chi Lili has always admired Xiaoman for this. No matter how hard she worked before, it seemed that a good sleep could offset all the previous fatigue.  Unlike myself, if I stayed up for several nights checking information and writing papers, I would have to take a week's rest after finishing it to recover.

The two had lunch and went to the laboratory together.  Xiaoman walked outside the nuclear physics laboratory and saw Teacher Zhao inside holding Wang Shan's paper and pointing out the above problems to him.  Xiaoman randomly picked out a book and sat in the corner, waiting for Teacher Zhao to finish his work.

"Have you rested?" Teacher Zhao pulled up a chair and sat next to Xiao Man and asked.

"Get some rest!" Xiaoman said and raised her arms to show Teacher Zhao her good spirit.

"Not bad." Teacher Zhao nodded.  Then he took out a piece of paper from the bag and handed it to Xiaoman.

&nbs?Hmm.  "Xiaoman smiled, trying to drive away the moisture in his eyes. The past six months have been like a dream. From the desert to northern Xinjiang, he also went abroad to perform a mission. From neutron physics to nuclear fission, from academics to scientific research.  The things she experienced were things she had never imagined in her previous life.

“We’re here.” The driver parked the car not far from the school dormitory area.

Xiaoman looked out of the window and saw Gu's mother chatting with someone at the door.  She was still wearing the same cotton-padded jacket from last winter. It seemed that she had been standing for a long time and was tapping her feet while talking to others.

Xiao Man could no longer bear the longing in his heart, opened the car door and ran towards her.

Mother Gu’s eyes were a bit bad. Before she could see who was coming from the other side, she was hugged by Xiaoman.

"Oh, isn't this Xiao Man? He misses his mother." The colleague who was chatting with Gu's mother couldn't help laughing.

Xiao Man sniffed and smiled sheepishly at her.

Mother Gu held Xiaoman's face and looked up and down for a long time, then said, "I've lost weight."

Xiao Man thought of what he looked like when he just came back from the desert. If Gu's mother saw herself at that time, she would be distressed.

"Where's the luggage?" Gu's mother asked.

Xiaoman turned around and saw that He Liansheng had already taken her luggage out of the car and was holding it in his hand, wondering whether he should bring it to her.

Xiao Man couldn't help laughing when he saw his entangled look, and walked to He Liansheng's side.  She didn't take the luggage he handed her, but took his hand and walked towards Gu's mother.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
