With the sun shining brightly above his head, Xiaoman began to walk and think about some issues to pass the time.  After waiting for who knows how long, I gradually lost the energy to think.  The only thought left in my mind was that of tiredness.  If I have to mention one more, it would be sunbathing.

The others were probably the same. At the beginning, there was a lot of chatting in the team, but the further they walked, the quieter they became.  Now apart from the sound of breathing, no voice can be heard.

Xiaoman’s second grade class was the last class to walk in. Xiaoman and the four of them walked at the back of the team.  Behind He Liansheng and Zhou Tong were the van accompanying the team, and Teacher Shen who was at the back of the team.

Many students in front started to be unable to walk and stopped on the roadside to drink water and rest. A few girls were helped into the van at the back. After they felt better, they got down and continued walking.

Teacher Shen urged the students parked on the roadside to cheer them up and not let them fall behind him.

"How are you, Xiaoman, are you okay?" Liu Qingqing asked worriedly.

"It's okay." Xiaoman smiled, his lips turned a little white.  "How long have we been out? How far are we still?"

She didn’t know this road, and it was surrounded by scenery she had never seen before.  I couldn’t tell how far we were from the Martyrs Cemetery and how much we still had to walk.

“It’s been two hours since we came out now, and we should have walked almost half of the way.” He Liansheng looked at his watch and said,

Xiao Man nodded. He couldn't hold on any longer and planned to stop for a drink of water and take a rest.  He Liansheng and Liu Qingqing also stopped and waited for her to rest before continuing.  As the van drove past, Teacher Shen walked up to them and asked them not to fall behind.

"Teacher Shen, let us take a break. You go first, we will accompany Gu Xiaoman for a while and then catch up." He Liansheng said.

"How about you get in the car and take a rest?" Teacher Shen suggested, looking at Xiaoman's pale face.

"Thank you, teacher, no need." Xiaoman shook his head.  There is no air conditioning in the van now, and there is no wind when driving so slowly, making it even more uncomfortable to stay in it.  "Don't worry, we'll catch up after a while."

Teacher Shen looked at the team in front of him who was getting farther and farther away, and hesitated for a while.  "You know the way, right?"

"I know, I know." He Liansheng said.

Xiaoman remembered that when they went to Jinjie, He Liansheng also said that he knew the way Forget it, it's best to ask someone else at the worst.

Xiao Man pursed his lips and said nothing. Teacher Shen explained a few more words before setting off quickly to catch up with the large army.

Liu Qingqing rubbed some cooling oil on Xiaoman’s temples with her hands to refresh her mind and she felt much better.

"I didn't expect the sun to be so bright today. The principal chose this day too unluckily. It's better to catch the rain during the Qingming Festival." Liu Qingqing raised her head and looked at the sky. There was such a big sun at the end of March. It was really good for them here.  Rare.  "feel better now?"

"Much better." Xiaoman was a little embarrassed. He seemed to be lagging behind recently.

"Well, cough. I have a hat here, do you want to wear it?" He Liansheng took out a white baseball cap from his school bag.  He was asking questions, but his eyes were not looking at Xiaoman.

"Forget it, I'll put it on for you. It won't make you faint in the sun." He said and put the hat on Xiaoman's head.

"Aren't you going to wear it?" Xiaoman asked, straightening the hat on his head.

"I won't wear it anymore. It's white and it's so troublesome to wash." He Liansheng waved his hand in feigned disgust. Looking at Xiao Man's lack of energy, he regretted that he had hesitated just now and didn't take out the hat directly from the beginning.

"That's itthank you, I'll give it back to you after I come back and wash it."

Xiaoman smiled brightly, and He Liansheng blushed and nodded.  Putting his hand on the cup lid, his hand slipped several times before he unscrewed the water cup.  When I raised my head and took a sip, I choked and coughed so much that I couldn't stand up straight.

Xiaoman happened to be next to him, raising his hand to pat his back.  As a result, He Liansheng's cough got worse and worse, making Xiao Man worried that something would happen to him.

"Are you okay?" Xiao Man looked at He Liansheng worriedly, and He Liansheng waved his hands, feeling annoyed by his embarrassing behavior just now.

"If you have rested well, let's continue setting off." Zhou Tong really couldn't stand these two, and was worried that if he didn't set off, he would get further and further away from the main force.

He Liansheng looked at Xiaoman questioningly, and Xiaoman nodded to indicate that he was fine.

The four of them set off again, a little faster than before, hoping to catch up with the large army before arriving at the Martyrs Cemetery.

After walking for about half an hour,"It's good that you're fine." He Liansheng curled his lips and smiled reluctantly at her.

Xiaoman felt that he was not in a good mood, but he didn't know why, so he was at a loss for the moment.

"Am I useless?" He Liansheng asked suddenly.

"Ah?" Xiaoman didn't know why he suddenly had such an idea, and shook his head vigorously, "No, no, it was all thanks to you."

"It's all thanks to my dad." He Liansheng said with a sullen face and some displeasure.  Boys of his age don't like to hide under the aura of their parents, and always hope to come out and prove themselves to others, especially in front of the girls they like.

Xiaoman suddenly realized that he was embarrassed about this.

"But I think this is pretty good. You can beat him, right?"

"Of course." He Liansheng replied without hesitation.

"But I don't know what trouble I will get into if I beat him. It's not that you can't beat him now, but you just have a better way. So I don't think you can rely on your father." Xiao Man enlightened.

He Liansheng thought for a while and felt that what Xiaoman said seemed to make some sense, but also seemed to make no sense at all.  After thinking for a long time, I felt that I was asking for trouble. Anyway, what Xiaoman said should be right.

"Don't worry, even if it's on my own, I can protect you in the future."

After saying that, he walked forward without looking back.

Xiaoman looked at his back and touched her chin. She didn't know if it was because of her own passion, but she felt that He Liansheng might like her a little bit.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
