Scenery of time, streets bathed in fire.

Every shop in the small alleyway has begun to operate normally. Shi Jin walked towards the innermost part of the alley.  The door of the store was ajar, and he hadn't even taken a few steps in when he yelled, "Dude, I've been stuck in traffic for an hour, it's so embarrassing." Before he could finish, he frowned and put his hand on his nose to fan himself.

"Holy shit, how many cigarettes have you smoked?"

Chi Zheng was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt and typing on the keyboard, with half a cigarette in his mouth.

Shi Jin stepped forward to look at the code in a flash.

    "What are you doing?"

Chi Zheng half-squinted his eyes and stopped what he was doing.  Turning around, he took off the cigarette, twitched the corner of his mouth slightly, and said calmly: "When I finish it, I will talk to you in detail later."

    Shi Jinfei laughed.

"You're laughing your ass off." Chi Zheng said nonchalantly.

Shi Jin sighed, his smile not stopping.

"Brother, I really feel that love is powerful now. It's really rare for you to be like this. You're a bit of a prodigal son."

Chi Zheng raised his eyes and let out a 'chi' sound.

"I said, how have you been with that woman recently?" Shi Jin asked.

Hearing this, Chi Zheng was silent for a moment.

Shi Jin: "You haven't caught me yet, have you?"

Chi Zheng put the cigarette into his mouth again and frowned.

"If it doesn't work, just try harder. Isn't that your strength?"

    Chi Zheng glanced over coldly.

Shi Jin chuckled, "Don't blame me for having too many things to do. Special situations require special handling. Don't you know that?"

Chi Zheng pursed his thin lips tightly.

He knew the way Lu Simei pursued her to death a few years ago. This woman was both sensitive and stubborn.  What's more, there are so many inextricable connections between them, and he has always believed that it is best to unravel them bit by bit without rushing.  But she was hiding her thoughts very much. Chi Zheng couldn't help but frown again when he thought of this, and smoked even more fiercely.

"You're not still worried about your little hair, are you?" Shi Jin asked.

    Chi Zheng said nothing.

Shi Jin shrugged, "It's really boring to do this."

"No." After a long time, Chi Zheng said lightly.

    "Then why are you lingering?"

Chi Zheng took a long puff of cigarette.

    "I said¡ª¡ª"

Halfway through Shi Jin¡¯s words, Chi Zheng¡¯s face darkened.

"If you have nothing to do, get out of here."

"Damn." Shi Jin curled his lips, "You get scared when I talk about this?"

    "Who the hell is scared?"

"You want me to name you?"

    Chi Zheng: "Fuck."

He took a deep breath of cigarette and frowned.  He was very busy in the next few days, and it was already the end of June when he had some free time.

That week, the temperature was frighteningly high.

Meng Shengnan goes back to the office after class every day, and returns to the apartment later.  It's so hot that I fall asleep in the middle of the night.  One day, a teacher I worked with was temporarily busy and could not go to the kindergarten to pick up the children in time.  She was free at the time, so she agreed.

Within a 20-minute bus ride from Huakou First School.

When she arrived in the afternoon, she saw a dark crowd.  I was frightened for a while, as it was clear that there was still half an hour until school was over.  She waited across the street, stepping back.  I accidentally stepped on someone, so I turned around and said sorry.

    "Meng Shengnan?"

She was also stunned and looked at Nie Jing, "Does your child go to school here?"

The woman nodded, "Why are you here too?"

"Oh, help a colleague pick up the child."

    Nie Jing: "That's right."

Meng Shengnan smiled and said, "What have you been busy with recently?"

Nie Jing shook her head and was about to speak when her cell phone rang.  The woman glanced at her, turned sideways and picked up.  Within a minute, I heard him say: "Don't worry, I'll ask my sister." Then he hung up and dialed a number, and the call was connected shortly after.  I don't know what was said over there, but Meng Shengnan heard something was wrong.

"Then do you have any other options? She is in Shenzhen, a place she is not familiar with -"

He hung up after a few words.

Nie Jing seemed particularly depressed, her eyelids drooping.  Meng Shengnan took a few steps forward and asked softly: "What's wrong?"

The woman looked up, her eyes wet.

    "Are you okay?" she asked.

Nie Jing shook her head absentmindedly, forcing herself to smile at her, "It's okay."

"If you have any questions, just tell me, maybe I can help."

Meng Shengnan handed over the tissue.

The woman glanced at her and hesitated.go.

    The shop door was closed.

Chi Zheng whispered: "Aren't you asleep yet?"

    "Um."

    "What are you busy with?"

    Meng Shengnan: "Nothing."

Chi Zheng was silent for a moment, "Last time¡ª¡ª"

    Meng Shengnan¡¯s heart tightened.

"Do you have time in the past two days? Let's come out and meet." The man changed the topic temporarily.

Meng Shengnan: "The school will be very busy preparing for the final exam."

"Then when are you not busy?"

Meng Shengnan paused for a few seconds and said, "I've been very busy recently."

    "Is it?"

    "Um."

Chi Zheng said nothing, and neither did Meng Shengnan.

After a while, Chi Zheng said: "Then go to sleep."

    "goodbye."

The busy tone on the receiver lasted for a long time before Chi Zheng ended the call.  He threw the phone aside and stuffed the cigarette into his mouth.  The tedious and lengthy codes on the computer were spread across the entire screen. Chi Zheng frowned for a while, chewed on his cigarette and started typing again.

It¡¯s getting dark and bright again.

Early the next morning, Meng Shengnan received a call from his senior.  It was said that a publishing house in Shenzhen had a job, so she hurriedly called Nie Jing.  The woman thanked her profusely for inviting her to dinner, but Meng Shengnan couldn't put it off, so she accepted the invitation on the second day of July after the final exam.

That was ten o'clock in the morning, and it was also her last class in the classroom.

Fifty-two students basically spent the forty-five-minute period chatting with her.  I have the afternoon off, and the final exam is in two days.  There was a boy and girl in the class who fell in love early. They changed seats and were next to each other, and they winked at each other in class.

Some students asked her loudly: "Teacher, you don't care?"

Meng Shengnan smiled, "The world is free today."

There was a roar in the classroom.

A girl, who was lively and outgoing, stood up and asked everyone: "I saw a post two days ago that said if you were given a chance, what super power would you like to have? Let me start by asking Daniel Wu to fall in love with me."

The whole class let out a long boo.

    "Never forget!"

    "Past and Present!"

    "Teleport!"

    "Control your destiny!"

"Let the people I like like me!"

The whole class clapped their mouths.

The girl shouted loudly: "Teacher, where are you?"

    It was quiet.

Meng Shengnan thought about it seriously and said with a smile: "I want to hear Cao Xueqin continue to talk about the Dream of Red Mansions."

    Whole class: ""

Later, after class, she went downstairs and walked out.  Students were walking up and down the stairs around me from time to time, laughing and youthful.  She walked slowly, remembering the lie she had just told.  If given a chance, she would like to go back to her 16-and-a-half-year-old self in 2004 and be a brave person.

Outside the teaching building, it suddenly started to rain heavily.

She suddenly remembered that today was Friday, so she hurriedly walked to the newsstand at the school gate in the rain.  The old man looked kindly and asked her which one she wanted.  She said with a smile that there are various tastes in the world.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
