On the morning of October 10, 1936, in Shenyang City, the heart of Northeast China, an unprecedented and grand celebration ceremony was about to be held here.  It was still drizzling in Shenyang in the morning. Just when everyone was secretly regretting that the weather was not good, at about nine o'clock, the gloomy sky suddenly became clear and the wind was light. Soon the dark clouds cleared and the sun shone brightly.  Zhang Xueliang couldn't help but sigh, God is so cooperative, and we all people will celebrate together.

As early as 1930, the Shenyang Municipal Government demolished all the buildings in the central area of ??Shenyang City in accordance with the blueprint for Shenyang's urban construction in the "First Five-Year Plan for Northeast Development" formulated by Zhang Xueliang.  It took several months to develop and build a large square with a vast area.  The square is a right rectangle, with a length of 800 meters from north to south and a width of 500 meters from east to west. It covers an area of ??400,000 square meters and can accommodate 600,000 people for grand gatherings. It surpassed the Red Square of the Soviet Union and became the largest square in the world at this time (here  Tiananmen Square had not yet appeared) and was named "Workers and Peasants Square" by Zhang Xueliang.  At the north end of the square stands the majestic Northeast Civil Assembly Building. After the Northeast Campaign, the Shenyang government, under the instruction of Zhang Xueliang, built a tall monument to the heroes and martyrs of the Chinese nation in the center of the square. The title of the monument was inscribed by Zhang Xueliang, and the back of the monument was inscribed by Zhang Zuoxiang.  The inscription is splashed with ink: "From 1840 to the present, the heroes and martyrs of all ethnic groups of the Chinese nation who have sacrificed their lives in various struggles to fight for national independence and people's freedom and happiness against internal and external enemies will be immortalized forever!" Both sides of the monument are decorated with battle axes.  The relief garland composed of pine trees, cypresses and flags symbolizes the eternal existence of the great spirit of the heroes and martyrs of the Chinese nation.  The entire monument is made of more than 11,000 pieces of granite and white marble, with a solemn and majestic appearance.

The Memorial Museum of the Chinese National Heroes and Martyrs stands solemnly in the south of the Workers and Peasants Square. It houses the "Lingyan Pavilion" (modelled after the "Lingyan Pavilion" during the Taizong period of the Tang Dynasty). The attic records the bloody sacrifices for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation since 1840.  The names of heroes and martyrs of various nationalities who fought hard and died heroically and archives of their glorious deeds.  Between the Civil Assembly Building and the monument, there is a giant white marble statue of the founding father Sun Yat-sen on the left, and a giant white marble statue of General Zhang Zuolin, the first commander-in-chief of Northeast China, on the right.

The celebration ceremony venue is located in Workers¡¯ and Peasants¡¯ Square, and Shenyang¡¯s main street, Shengli Avenue, runs through the north of the square.  To the north of the square, there is a river pond cut with white marble, with fountains and flowing water sculptures inside, and the gurgling flow is endless.  There are three white stone bridges erected side by side on the river; further to the north is the viewing tower of the Northeast Civil Assembly Hall, with two electric flagpoles standing in front of the tower.  At this time, the square has been repaired, and the exteriors of each building have been newly sprayed with paint, which can be said to be brand new.  The huge banner in front of the parliament building is "Celebrating the Eighth Anniversary of the North Korean Rebellion of the Northeastern Flag". The slogans on both sides are "Long live the great Chinese nation!" in the east and "Long live the great Chinese people!" in the west.

The rostrum and viewing platform are located on the viewing tower of the Civil Assembly Hall Building.  Under the eaves of the building, twelve red palace lanterns hang on both sides.  Against the stone railings on the left and right sides of the tower, on the left are eight flags of the Republic of China fluttering in the wind, and on the right are eight flags of the Northeastern Army fluttering.  The entire venue was full of joy and warm atmosphere. All important traffic arteries at the venue were tightly guarded by thousands of military police and military police. All commanding heights around the venue were also controlled by agents from the Northeast Army Security Department. Zhang Xueliang repeatedly urged safety to come first.  , Absolutely nothing goes wrong. Liu Duoquan, the head of the guard regiment in charge of security work, and Qi Enming, commander of the Shenyang Military Police, did not dare to slack off at all. Every security work was personally arranged by them.  At the same time, four groups of fighter jets from two military airports in the suburbs of Shenyang will patrol the skies over Shenyang continuously during the celebration.

At ten o'clock in the morning, the bustling Workers and Peasants Square gathered people from all directions.  The venue was crowded with people, everyone was excited, and there was a lot of joyful conversation.  From five o'clock in the morning, when it was still dark, groups of people started to enter the venue one after another.  On this day, the national flags and military flags in major stores in Shenyang were sold out. Some people held national flags and military flags, and some carried red lanterns. After entering the venue, they lined up according to the predetermined location.  By eleven o'clock, the Workers' and Peasants' Square had become a sea of ??people, with people carrying clothes and clothes walking hand in hand.  The colorful flags fluttered like angry waves on the sea.  At this time, more than 500,000 people from all walks of life and ethnic groups from all over Northeast China gathered at the venue. The entire venue was filled with crowded people, shoulder to shoulder.  Today, the streets of Shenyang City are packed with people. More than half of the people at the venue are Shenyang citizens, and the rest are people who came from the suburbs of Shenyang or from all over the Northeast by train and bus to attend the ceremony.  Many buildings on both sides of the Workers' and Peasants' Square were decorated with lights and banners flying.  Workers, students, cadres, citizens, and city defense troops in the venue all held improvised red national flags with blue sky and white sun all over the ground, red-bottomed tomahawk flags and other red flags, red lanterns and small colorful flags. The venue really turned into colorful flags and lanterns.  the oceanAmong the soldiers, there are award-winning athletes from the Northeast Olympic delegation, Daqing oil field workers, and Beidacang farmers.  It was already evening when the mass game ended.  In the Workers' and Peasants' Square, all the lanterns and torches were lit, the electric lights were turned on, thousands of fireworks shot into the sky one after another, fireworks were flying all over the sky, colorful sparks in the sky formed colors, and thousands of lights on the ground were ablaze.  The mass march started in east and west directions and circled Victory Avenue, the Northeast Civil Parliament Building, and Workers and Peasants Square.  Light filled the entire city of Shenyang, and the entire city became a city that never sleeps.  People in Northeast China held lanterns, danced with torches, sang and danced, and shouted slogans such as "Long live the Chinese nation!" "Long live Marshal Zhang!" to vent their excitement and celebrate the night.

When night fell, envoys from various countries and outstanding workers from Northeast China were invited to have dinner in the lobby of the Parliament Building. The person who presided over the ceremony was Zhang Zuoxiang, the Supervisor of Northeast Political Affairs.  At this time, Zhang Xueliang was summoning a special soldier in the study room of the Commander's Mansion.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
