When Su Li returned home, he put down the clothes drying pole. All he could think about was the bloated female corpse that had been chewed to pieces. His mind was very confused. It took him a while to calm down again.

"Now should I stay here and wait for rescue, or should I find a way to leave here and find a way out, or are there survivors like me in this city?"

Su Li took off her shoes and socks that were soaked just after entering the water.

Put on a pair of clean shoes, walk to the balcony window, and think deeply.

Looking at the water outside the window, there are scattered high-rise buildings emerging from the water in the distance. These buildings that can emerge from the water are all buildings with thirty floors or above.

Looking at these buildings emerging from the water, Su Li couldn't help but wonder if there were survivors like him in these buildings?  If there are, finding them is better than being alone.

Of course, there are also unknown risks along the way. The corpse that was eaten just now left a shadow on Su Li's heart, and he always felt a little uneasy.

"Or you can stay temporarily and wait for rescue. Maybe a rescue team will show up soon, but I don't know."

The only thing Su Li felt lucky about was that she lived alone. To save trouble, she prepared several bags of instant noodles at home and bought some biscuits and bread for breakfast, all of which were piled in the refrigerator.

Only one person, food for four or five days is okay.

After thinking for a while, Su Li decided to make two preparations.

The first is to stay here temporarily, hoping that there will be a turn of events or rescuers will appear.  The second is to make a simple raft. If no rescuers show up in the past few days, you can only risk leaving here on a raft and actively find other ways to survive.

After making the decision, Su Li felt a little more relaxed. He took out a bag of biscuits from the refrigerator and tore it open. He started to get busy while eating. The only thing he felt fortunate was that the water had not stopped yet. He took out a kettle and filled it with water.  Filled with water, then turned on the stove to boil water.

He still uses old-fashioned canned liquefied gas, but he rarely turns it on for cooking. He turned it on once this month, when Wang Lan and a few friends came to his house for a dinner. He almost never used it when he was alone.

And now he has to thank for this tank of liquefied gas, otherwise it would be difficult to drink hot water now.

"We need to boil more water and prepare it. Although the water has not stopped yet, since the power is out, I'm afraid the water may stop at any time."

Although Zuli doesn¡¯t know the specific reason, it may be due to different lines. Although the power is out, the water has not stopped yet.

In addition to preparing hot water, Su Li also looked around for various tools at home, and soon found some nails, two screwdrivers, vise, scissors, lighter, and a hammer. By the way, he put the kitchen knives and kitchen knives in the kitchen.  The fruit knives were collected and piled together on the coffee table in the living room for ready use.

After eating the biscuits, drinking some water, and filling his stomach, Su Li began to work. His idea was to go to the top floor first and release thick smoke to attract the attention of outside rescuers, of course, if there were rescuers.

After that, you can make a simple raft to prepare for emergencies.

He found some old clothes from home, including a quilt, a pair of plastic slippers, and several plastic bags, packed them together, then took a lighter and prepared to go out.

He would carry these things to the roof and then set them on fire, hoping to create a lot of smoke.

¡°If there is a rescue team and they see a lot of man-made smoke coming out of here, they will definitely know that there are survivors here, and he will be saved by then.

Su Li opened the door and was about to go out with his things. Suddenly he stopped again and his eyes fell on the corridor in front of him.

He saw wet footprints appearing on the corridor ahead. The footprints appeared from the end of the corridor and extended all the way to the outside of the house where the young couple lived.

    Su Li¡¯s heart beat wildly.

Looking at the wet footprints, Su Liming realized that these were not the footprints left by himself. The footprints left by his feet that were wet with water had long since dried. The wet footprints left on the corridor in front of him were obviously  Someone had just walked by and left it, and it hadn't been long, otherwise the footprints would have dried quickly.

"Could it be that there is someone else here besides me? Did he just walk up the stairs and enter the house where the couple lives? It's just that the stairs outside were flooded. How did this person get here?"

Su Li looked at the ajar door and wanted to rush in to see what was going on, but there was a faint fear deep in his heart. He always felt that there was something unspeakably ancient about this matter.Strange.

He did not act rashly, but quickly returned home, put down the quilt and clothes he was holding, and then picked up the kitchen knife and hammer on the coffee table.

With a kitchen knife, a hammer and a self-defense weapon in hand, he felt a little more at ease and more courageous. He took a deep breath to calm himself down and walked out again, wanting to see what was going on.

"It would be great if there were other survivors." Su Li thought silently.

Facing all kinds of unknowns alone, not only loneliness, but also the fear of the unknown shrouded his heart all the time, making him feel extremely depressed. He was afraid to continue like this, fearing that he would soon be dead.  Will collapse, he longs to see other living people, companions, even a dog is good.

Soon, Su Li walked outside the door, looked at the ajar security door, and looked at the wet footprints in front of the door.

As he got closer, Su Li found that there were a lot of water stains on both sides of the footprints. Obviously, the person who left the footprints had not only a pair of wet shoes, but also his whole body. So when he walked over, not only  He left a row of wet footprints, dripping water all over his body, and left a lot of water marks on the ground.

However, as time went by, these water traces were slowly evaporating, and Su Li only noticed it now that he was close.

Su Li clenched the hammer and kitchen knife in his hand, but did not immediately open the door to take a look. His throat moved, he swallowed, and finally said: "Is there anyone there?"

Except for his voice, the corridor and the house were completely silent.

Su Li paused for a few seconds and asked again, while listening carefully to the movements in the house.

Suddenly, he heard a sound coming from inside. It was like the sound of a chair being moved. In such a quiet place, the sound became particularly loud. It sounded like a person turning around inadvertently.  The sound made by hitting the chair.

"There is really someone inside? Why didn't you answer me?"

Su Li finally couldn't bear it any longer. He raised his right hand holding the hammer and tried to push open the ajar door.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
