Feng Jian replied dryly: "Be prepared." After another moment of silence, he finally couldn't withstand the pressure. He bit the bullet and said, "I'm sorry, why don't I go shopping with you this weekend. If you see what you like, you can buy it for yourself. As a matter of fact,  I¡¯ll give you compensation.¡±

    Wan Yun looked at him.

What bothers Feng Jian the most about Wanyun is that she doesn't say anything directly if she can, and just remains calm, which is embarrassing.  He endured the pain of preparing to spend money and added to himself, "Anyway, I should buy you some expensive gifts as hush money. After all, I want to thank you for not complaining to your mother."

Wanyun raised his eyebrows: "What did you say?"

"Your Majesty, with your personality, didn't blame me today for leaving you alone when I was sick" Feng Jian felt that it was boring for the man to discuss such trivial matters all day long, so he paused and said, "Forget it, anyway, it was my fault this time.  I will make amends to you.¡±

Wan Yun finally put down the tableware and replied calmly: "Feng Jian, you have been abroad recently and haven't read the city's newspapers, right?"

Feng Jian couldn't help but be stunned, Wan Yun asked Zhen's mother to bring out the newspapers and gossip magazines from the past few days.  He only glanced at it and was immediately furious.

¡°My face was once again printed on the cover of magazines and newspapers as headlines. Below it was the words ¡°The Biggest Wife Slave in the City¡± in big and scary italics, and the subtitle was ¡°Feng Jian went to a convenience store in the rain to buy food in order to win the favor of his beloved wife.¡±

Opening the inside page, Feng Jian found that his and Wanyun¡¯s trip to the temple to offer incense was described as Wanyun being picky about food after getting sick and insisting on eating convenience store food.  And in order to avoid reporters, he traveled in an old car¡ª¡ª

The reporter captured several photos, one of which showed Feng Jian pushing open the car door and running to the convenience store without holding an umbrella; another showed Feng Jian lowering his head to pick milk tea for Wanyun, and the last one showed Feng Jian holding a large amount of milk tea.  The food was lowered and ready to get on the bus. Wan Yun was waiting in the car wearing a coat that was obviously a man's. The atmosphere between the two seemed very warm.

    It seems like that¡¯s all.

As if this was not enough, some reporter with great powers learned that the two slept in separate rooms on their wedding night, and then thought of Wanyun's previous illness, so it became "Feng Jian pitied his beloved wife for being weak and sick, and refused to get married immediately."  , but young and strong, with nowhere to vent his lust, he flew to a foreign country on the second day after marriage¡ª¡ª"

His work schedule in North America was also slightly mentioned by reporters: "Extremely busy, not close to women, running every day to relieve anger."

Feng Jian flipped through the magazine quickly, her face turning from white to green and then to black.

¡°It¡¯s not scary if your life is exposed to the public. What¡¯s scary is that it¡¯s exposing a life that didn¡¯t happen at all.

Wan Yun said lightly: "Thanks to the reports, everyone now knows that we are the most loving couple in the city. After my mother saw this, she would naturally not ask you about leaving me on a business trip, let alone know that you never  You called me." She said, "So if you thank me now, you are still thanking me wrong."

Feng Jian threw the magazine away, feeling that she had never been so angry or powerless in her life.

He had various thoughts in his mind, but his tone was still cold: "You are keeping the newspapers from a few days ago just to wait for you to come back to piss me off? Because I left you who was sick on a business trip and didn't call you? Maybe I went too far?  A little bit, but I told you before that your choice to marry me was not¡ª"

Wan Yun frowned, his eyes dropped slightly, then cut him off and asked, "Where did your ring go?"

The end of Feng Jian's words was still in his throat, and his expression was still livid, but the anger and strength that were originally mixed with guilt were like the food in front of him. The momentum and color were still there, but the inside had completely changed.

When he was on a long-distance flight on a business trip, his fingers were swollen. He threw the ring at the bottom of his luggage and forgot about it while no one was supervising him in North America. He forgot to wear it again when he came back - but how could he forget it again?

Feng Jian had nothing to say and wanted to find something to lean on.

Wan Yun stared at him for a while, then pulled out his chair, walked over and sat next to him.

Feng Jian couldn't help but straighten his back.  He knew the opportunity and immediately apologized: "I'm so sorry" I felt cold sweat on my back, "Well, tomorrow I will accompany you to buy some gifts you like, and then book a table for dinner at the restaurant you said you liked last time.  Consider it compensation. I¡¯m really sorry, I didn¡¯t mean it"

Wan Yun just looked at him and said, "I know that I forced this marriage on you in the first place, and you can't have real feelings for me."

All the situations were not conducive to her. Feng Jian knew that he would be wrong if he said too much, so he had to listen to Wanyun continue: "But even if this marriage is based on a transactional standpoint, it is beneficial to both parties and cannot be the enemy of each other. I have tried my best to do a good job."  I should do what I should, and I have always accepted your living habits, but you are always noncommittal, which makes me embarrassed and makes me feel stupid  You know who I am, but you don't even want to understand me for a minute and ignore me at will.  "

Having said that, Feng Jian had to express his position: "I'm really sorry, the ring thing is definitely not three things, and I really didn't know about the umbrella thing. As for the business trip, I didn't know you were sick before, and"

There were so many things to apologize for, and Feng Jian didn¡¯t know when she had already carried such a large and heavy emotional package.  After a moment of silence, he could only condense his complicated feelings into one sentence: "How about I go out with you tomorrow night?"

I just hope she agrees, I just hope she will lose money and eliminate disaster.

Wan Yun looked away calmly: "Of course you can go out, but do you still need me to bring that umbrella?"

Feng Jian was stunned for a moment, and when he came to his senses, he thought that the woman's sarcasm was so profound.  But he couldn't refute anymore, and his face was uncertain.

The consequence of the whole incident was that Feng Jian accompanied Wan Yun to a big meal at a seafood restaurant in the city on the second day, and then took the initiative to spend money to buy a set of extremely expensive and useless glassware for the family, and then insisted on buying it for the family.  Wanyun bought a lot of clothing rights as compensation.

This is probably the way Feng Jian can accept. Money can solve the problem properly.  After all, swiping your card is always the simplest action.  It would obviously be better if Jane's mother could stop looking at him so accusingly.

The media photographed Feng Jian¡¯s expressionless face while paying money in a specialty store. Reports about their deep relationship as a couple intensified. Wan Yun turned a deaf ear, and Feng Jian also turned a deaf ear, but ordered her family not to subscribe to any more media magazines.

¡ª¡ªAnd if marriage can be compared to an acquisition, Feng Jian frowned and stared at the ring on her hand that she never dared to take off, thinking that this marriage had complete legal and economic significance.  But obviously, he still did not have full control.

He has been intimidated by white people more recently, and he has developed an inexplicable habit.  Whenever Wanyun spoke to him, he couldn't help but want to touch the ring again to see if it was still safely on his hand.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
