    ?

I seem to have returned to my childhood, and whenever I did something wrong and couldn't solve it, I would run home.  I opened that door and stepped into the dark room without turning on the light.  The darkness around me and the coldness of the early morning surrounded me, and the feeling of loneliness can drive people crazy.  Those prisoners who are not guilty of death choose to commit suicide after knowing that they will spend decades in prison because they are afraid of being alone.  I gently pushed open the door of my mother's room, and she lay quietly.

"Mom, do you know how lonely your son is? Can you tell me what to do? I'm so scared. I'm afraid I'll go the wrong way again. Mom, can you hug me? Mom"

I was lying on my mother's bedside, and I couldn't help crying.  It was the first time I cried since returning from the hospital.  Under the moonlight, my mother frowned slightly, as if she heard what I said.  I reached out and stroked her lightly, her forehead was surprisingly hot.  "Mom! What's wrong with you?" I tried to shake her awake, but she just hummed in a daze.

"Mom, get up quickly! I'll take you to see a doctor!" I lifted the quilt, and my mother's thin body was soaked in sweat and she was unconscious. I felt a trace of fear.

"Mom! Don't, don't scare me!" I cried out of fear.  I put her back on the bed, rushed to the next room to get a dry quilt, wrapped her up, picked her up and rushed outside.

Under the vast night, the weather in early spring is bitingly cold and windy.  I can't find a taxi in this cramped, old-fashioned neighborhood.  There are no pedestrians on the road, let alone taxis.  Her face was against my jaw, and her increasing body temperature did not allow me to spend too much time looking for the car.

"Mom! Hold on! I'll take you to the hospital, Mom, you must hold on!" I hugged my mother tightly, and my eyes were clouded with tears.  I took the nearest path to the hospital.  Stumbling and swaying, I couldn't see the stone steps under my feet, and I tripped hard.  I didn't let go, the bone-piercing pain after my knee hit the ground made me almost numb, I had only one goal, and that was the hospital.  I stood up tenaciously and continued to run forward.  A moment's delay would have cost me forever the love of my heart.  The long-lost lights of the hospital finally caught my eye.

"Mom! We're here. Please, don't leave me behind." I cried to my mother.

"Well." The mother whispered in pain and weakly.

I ran into the hospital.  The nurse at the door was frightened by my distressed image, and hurried over.

"Help my mother! Please!" I was so excited that I wanted to kneel down.

"Don't worry, take her to the consulting room quickly, the doctor is there." The nurse said calmly.

"Okay!" I sniffed my nose, hugged my mother and followed her.  I paced anxiously outside the clinic.  My mother is my only spiritual support now.

"Doctor, how is my mother?" As soon as I heard the door knock, I rushed to the door.

"Your mother is suffering from acute pneumonia. She is getting old and has some troubles. You go to pay the security deposit and hospitalization fee first. You can leave the rest to me!" the doctor comforted.

"Okay, okay." I ran to the payment window, only to remember that I forgot to bring money just now when I was eager to save people.  Such embarrassment made me have to turn to Wei Ling for help.

I went to the nurse at the desk and asked for a call.  In less than three minutes, Wei Ling, who was wearing a nurse's uniform, came from the inpatient department at the back, and her face changed when she saw me.

"What happened?" Her lips turned white.

"My mother" I was very vulnerable at this time, and tears welled up again.

"What's wrong with your mother?" She grabbed my arm anxiously.

"She suffered from acute pneumonia and was just sent to the emergency room. I wanted to pay the fee but I was in a hurry and didn't bring any money, so I didn't think you were going to work. You can lend me some and return it to you after my mother is stable in the hospital." I answered with difficulty.  "Well, I'll just accompany you to sign." She dragged me to the payment window, and the procedures went smoothly.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. You go with me to get the medicine first, you can't do it like this." I fell down just now, two holes were torn in my knee trousers, and my knees were bloody, which shows the severity of the fall just now.  .  There is only one shoe left on the foot, and when did the other one fall off.  I wiped my face with snot and tears, and said, "Okay, but I want to see my mother right away." "Don't worry, I just said hello, and they will take good care of you. Your mother is now in custody."  Room, I will take you there later." She wiped my dirty face with her cuff, and hurried to the dressing room to apply the medicine.  "Ah." I yelled in pain.

"Fortunately, it's a skin trauma. If the kneecap is broken, you'll be in a wheelchair for the rest of your life." Wei Ling had lingering fears.

"As long as my mother is well, I will recognize a broken leg." I shouted impulsively.  Wei Ling looked at me sadly, with tears in her eyes, and blamed me:

"Haven't you ever thought about other people's feelings? Your mother is healed, your leg is broken, who will support her! Don't you understand?" I was silent.  Wei Ling is rightYes, she always reminds me to face it calmly when I am impulsive.  She lowered her head and continued to clean the wound, her shoulders twitching unnaturally.  I put my arm on her shoulders and said firmly: "For my mother, I will take care of myself." She burst into tears and cried, "You have to promise me that you will take care of yourself at all times? Forfor your  Mom." I'm not a fool, I understand that there is something in her words.  In the past two years, she has been by my side selflessly, taking good care of my mother and me.  She never dared to ask me to love her, she just waited silently, waiting for the day when I would open my arms to her and fall in love with this gentle and virtuous woman.  It's just that my heart, which has been riddled with holes, is like a sieve, which can no longer hold the love of such a perfect woman.  I staggered to my mother's ward wearing the slippers that Wei Ling had exchanged for.  He was lying on his stomach outside the monitoring room, with his hands hanging on the window sill.  She lay there quietly, what a familiar scene!  She used to lie like that.  I blamed myself for neglecting to take care of me. A pair of warm hands held me, and Wei Ling shook her head at me distressedly.  I smiled embarrassingly.

"It will get better. Older people have some minor problems. Don't worry, I have asked the doctor. I will observe tonight and tomorrow when the situation improves, I can live in a general ward."

"Oh." I stared at my mother in the ward, and refused to forget every breath she took.

"Would you like to lie down? I'll help you find a place. You should have just got off work." Wei Ling asked with concern.

I shook my head, walked to the stool opposite the intensive care unit and sat down weakly, and said, "No need. I'll wait for my mother to wake up here." I insisted on refusing, and she had no choice but to give up her own thoughts because she was still at work.  , she went back to take care of the sick.  I watched my mother across the window, lying on the window and fell asleep unconsciously.

"Xiao Yang, wake up." Wei Ling, who came to see the class, shook me, and I struggled to open my heavy eyelids.

"Ah, how is mom?" There was no longer any mom in the intensive care unit opposite, I jumped up anxiously and grabbed Wei Ling, "Why is my mom missing? What happened?" I panicked  , Blaming myself for snoozing, why didn't I take good care of my mother.  Nothing will happen, I pray silently.

"It's okay, Xiao Yang. Auntie has passed the critical period and entered the general ward. Fortunately, you sent her in time, and her temperature has dropped significantly." Wei Ling comforted.  I let out a long breath and suddenly coughed a few times.

"Don't get sick. It's so cold, you came here wearing a shirt last night." Wei Ling was worried, she picked up the coat that I dropped on the ground, and put it on me.

I have an indescribable guilt in my heart.  She's like that coat that keeps me warm when I need it and is easily tossed aside when I have other things to do.

"I'll take you to see Auntie." She said softly to me as always.  "Oh, oh." I said in a daze.  Apart from my mother, the only woman in my life who cares about me the most is Wei Ling.  I can't love her, and I dare not love her. I don't know how to face her, how not to hurt her kind heart.  Wei Ling's figure was about to disappear from my sight, so I didn't allow myself to think too much, so I rushed to catch up with her.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
