Chapter Thirty Divorce

    In the evening, Wenming returned home hungry, thirsty and exhausted, and his father and mother were there.  There were traces of crying on his mother's face. She was both happy and blamed when she saw Wen Wenming came back. His father was smoking a cigarette fiercely, and the ashtray on the coffee table in front of him was full of cigarette butts.

    Civilization didn't speak. He took out an apple from the refrigerator and bit into it. The sound echoed in the empty living room.  Yes, the living room suddenly became so empty. Although there were beautiful TVs, sofas, and even a large fish tank bought for tens of thousands of yuan, Wenming felt that everything in front of him was nothingness, including the things in the room.  For the other two, he felt as if he was in a prairie beyond the horizon, but the prairie was not as calm and peaceful as he saw on TV.

    "Xiaowen, just now Lu Jie called again, and he asked if you feel better?"

    "I'm fine! Let me tell you, I'm in good health now!" Civilization bit the apple crisply.

    "Civilization! You can't talk to your mother in this tone!" His father cut off the cigarette butt in his hand, and at the same time, the conversation stopped, and his mother couldn't help crying again.

    Civilization finds it extremely ridiculous¡ªthe two people in front of them who call themselves father and mother have betrayed each other's love, but they still speak for each other in such a hypocritical manner:

    "Both of you are liars!"

    The whole room fell silent, only the sound of fish swimming in the fish tank remained.  His father and mother are also at a loss for words, sitting on the sofa, not knowing what to say.  Civilization suddenly felt that the fish was so pitiful. It was fed in a tank with "mountain and water", thinking that the world was as big, beautiful, and simple as it saw, but it didn't know that it was still outside.  There is a world that is many times bigger, more beautiful, and more complicated. There is a vast sky there, and a vast ocean under the sky. There are all kinds of life in the ocean, but there are also sharks there, and there are all kinds of food.  The human underwater animal thinks this way, and feels that although the fish is kept in the dark, but because of this, it has the self-righteous simple happiness, and feels how happy the fish is.

    "Civilization, anyway, we should sit down and have a good talk." His dad lit another cigarette.

    "That's not necessary! I advise you to leave as soon as possible, anyway, there are people outside of you, and you won't be lonely if you leave." After Wenming finished speaking, he entered his room and closed the door with a "bang".

    His last sentence was full of sarcasm, his father bit the teeth marks with the cigarette in his mouth, and his mother was already in tears.

    In the next few days, Wenming didn't go to school, and the breakdown of his family left an indelible shadow in his heart.  His parents also felt that since Wenming already knew everything, instead of pretending to live in peace and harmony, it would be better to just do nothing and continue to carry the divorce to the end, until Wenming's heart is broken piece by piece.

    His parents quickly obtained a divorce certificate from the registration authority by means of divorce by agreement, and Wen Wenming was awarded to his mother. His father asked Wen Wenming to go to school, but Wen Wenming never expressed his opinion.
