    ?

Later, I learned to be good, and when I saw that the paste food was too thick, I would add an appropriate amount of boiling water to dilute it.  The time my father spends eating is probably the longest on the twenty-first floor.  That was because of a small accident during the hospitalization of the father, coupled with the caution of the attending physician, the deadline for the father to eat with his mouth was repeatedly delayed.

As I said before, after we came out of the operating room, we saw all kinds of tubes inserted into my father's body.  Most of them are drainage tubes, which can guide out the stasis, pus, etc. trapped in the patient's body after surgery, so that various inflammations and complications can be effectively prevented.  The fluid drawn from each drainage tube is generally either red or white.  But in the two days when my father was about to eat with his mouth, I found a black liquid in it.

During the ward rounds of the attending physician, I reported this strange situation to him in time on the spot.  The attending physician also felt very strange.  I remember that at that time, he told me to pinch the drainage tube when I was free, saying that this would help the discharge of waste fluid in my father's body.  When the attending physician didn't know why, I boldly guessed that it might be because my father had made black rice cereal.  Because, the color in the drainage tube is very similar to the color of the black rice paste we eat.  Unexpectedly, my guess immediately aroused great attention and tension from the attending physician.

Perhaps because my father and I were worried, the attending physician did not immediately explain the reason.  It wasn't until my guess was completely rejected that I found out that the attending physician at that time suspected that there was a leak in my father's esophagus.

Not a few minutes after hearing my bold guess, the attending physician said solemnly: "Without my permission, don't take food from your mouth these days. You can't even drink water?"

At that time, I felt very strange, because yesterday he just informed us that we can drink some boiled water from our mouths first, and said that as long as we observe a little, there will be no accidents, and we can actually eat from our mouths tomorrow.  But why today, he issued a total fasting order very seriously?  Although I didn't understand, but seeing the unusually solemn expression of the attending physician, I nodded very cooperatively.

"Wait a minute, remember to get a list from me (the doctor will issue a list for various inspections during the hospitalization period, and then take the list directly to the relevant department for inspection, and the cost of the inspection will be directly included in the hospitalization fee  internal), it is best to take a film today. The bed camera is being repaired, if you are afraid of trouble, then wait until tomorrow. It is estimated that it will be repaired tomorrow."

Considering that my father had a tube and needed an infusion, it was very inconvenient to go up and down the stairs, so I chose to wait.  Fortunately, before the next day, the bed camera was repaired in the afternoon.  The film I took was also very lucky to get it before the hospital got off work.  Therefore, the next morning, during the rounds of the attending physician, he saw a film focusing on the anastomosis of his father's esophagus.  The attending physician and his two assistants agreed that the anastomosis was good and there was absolutely no problem.

Why is there a black object in the drainage tube?  It is estimated that the attending physician had been circling such questions in his mind at that time.  For the sake of safety, the attending physician instructed: "Don't eat directly from your mouth these days. I will prescribe you a medicine later. You can go directly to the pharmacy of the inpatient department on the first floor to swipe your card (the hospital will give you the medicine when you open an inpatient operation.)  It¡¯s a small glass bottle, and you can ask the nurse to help you open it. After mixing it with a small amount of warm water, you can take it orally.¡±

Seeing that the attending physician was about to leave, I immediately asked, "When should I take it and how much should I take at a time?"

"As soon as you get it, take it orally. Drink it all at once."

I never like to procrastinate when I do things. After the attending physician finished his ward rounds, I chased him and prescribed the medicine, and then went downstairs to get the medicine immediately.  It was a liquid that was so blue that it was almost black, and the amount was not very large, probably about ten milliliters.  After mixing it with about twice as much boiled water, the color was still very strong, and my father finished it in two or three sips.  After drinking it, I could clearly see that my father's entire mouth turned a thick blue.

I didn't stay with my father all the time. According to my mother, my father's urine that day was blue.  The next day, there was still black liquid in the father's drainage tube.  The attending physician was visibly relieved when he saw it.  However, he, who has always been cautious, did not think that he was safe.  The attending physician prescribed that purple liquid again.

After my father took it again, the color of the liquid in the drainage tube did not change.  At this point, the attending physician explained to me: All the tossing before was all to test whether there was leakage of the esophageal anastomosis.  The attending physician explained that they could actually judge that the anastomosis of the esophagus was normal through the photographs taken.  But just to be on the safe side, they tried it with the special blue potion.  If it leaks?? Then the color of the liquid in the drainage tube will definitely turn blue accordingly.  In the two tests, the color of the liquid in the drainage tube did not change, which fully proved that there must be no leakage of the esophageal anastomosis.

The attending physician's explanation made my father and I feel completely relieved.  But the attending doctor further said that it should be possible to eat directly now, but for the sake of safety, it is best to observe for another two days, so I hope we can continue to eat for a day or two.  In this regard, instead of showing any dissatisfaction, the father kept praising the attending physician for his prudence and reliability.

It is precisely because of this little accident that my father spends four or five days longer than the average person.  In fact, I know that my father still wanted to eat directly with his mouth at that time.  Everyone may wish to imagine, if you have not tasted anything for twenty days in a row, what kind of feeling it will be.  Therefore, when my father "ate" for the first time after the operation, he kept praising him!  I understood my father very well at the time, because the reawakening of a sense of taste that had been lost for a long time must be wonderful.

Since the moment my father actually ate directly from the mouth, his diet has changed again.  In my impression, it seems that there must be two foam eggs every day (that is, raw eggs are directly mixed with water, and then heated and steamed).  In the words of the attending physician, eggs can supplement the protein necessary for the human body.  During the entire hospitalization, all the oil we added to the foam eggs was provided by the oil south bed.  From this, it is not difficult to see how deep the friendship we have formed with the young man's family.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
