    ?

Even if it's flowers and cow dung, the people of Yucheng think that this is the best home for Yujin, a beautiful orphan girl, marrying into a local wealthy family, can be regarded as a lifelong worry-free.

However, before fate could show her worldly tender face, Yu Jin suffered from a disease that gradually became paralyzed¡ª¡ªprogressive muscular dystrophy, unable to stand or walk, and could only lie down or sit.  The sky is jealous of beauty, a beautiful and tall woman is like paper, face-to-face, unable to stand up.

Some people say that Yu Jin actually gave birth to a daughter, but she was taken away by the factory manager's wife.

In those years, there was always a cat howling in the middle of the night.  The insomniacs listened quietly, and they all felt that they understood its cat language.

Sometimes, they even thought it wasn't a cat, but it was actually Yujin, her cry.

In the long night, the cat climbed over the wall and wandered in the courtyard, complaining quietly, tirelessly, calling and crying with its immature baby-like voice.

In the late night when the moonlight was covered by the starlight, Yujin wept softly at the window, and then moved herself in the direction of the cat's voice.  Her hands seemed to gain strength, and she opened a window and waited in the dark.

The night is continuous, half-light and half-dark, and the moonlight gradually becomes brighter like water.  The night wind is cool, the sound of the city is getting weaker and farther away, and the huge stars are shining on the hills in the distant border.

When the moonlight slowly moved to the whitewashed wall opposite the window, the cat also walked up the window sill with slow and brisk steps.  Since then, it has never left.  Its fur is even and thick white, and its eyes are green, big and bright, often squinting for a while, showing wisdom and vigilance.  The lips and nose are small and delicate, the voice is delicate and tense, the slender beard habitually vibrates slightly, and there is also the taste of a court treacherous man, which is in harmony with its vixen temperament

Its softness and warmth, its flattery and sorrow make weak women feel hot and pity.  Quietly, it listened to the handicapped woman scolding, cursing men, poverty and disease.  It sticks out its warm, wet tongue like a thin leaf, and licks the woman's hand lightly.  A woman's hands are more sentient than her legs.  Her skin is a little dry, so it is particularly sensitive, and the ironing and warmth of the cat's tongue are particularly strong.  The cat's comfort moved her, and she hugged it tightly in her arms, weeping.  The cat is loyal and obedient. It licks her, cuddles closer to her, and occasionally makes a soft sound, as if telling her: Even if you lose everything, there is still me.

The woman gradually became quiet amidst endless resentful murmurs to herself.

She often falls into sleep and dreams during the day, and watches at night, like a cat.  Her life has existed in this compound for nearly thirty years.  The compound is empty, the house is old, and the walls are covered with moss.  The old locust tree at the gate of the courtyard is rotten, and there are not many branches left. In May, a few bunches of white flowers bloom, which are sucked into the mouths of homeless children and chewed.

Some strange strangers lived in the yard one after another. They were so silent that it was difficult to attract attention.  There are also stray cats who come here to settle down, like returning to their real home.  Every night, the cats in the yard were noisy, and the native cats attracted one after another of the wild cats day by day, occupying every corner of the yard more and more.

For some reason, Yujin has always been in awe of the cat clan.

In countless sleepless nights, she listened to their voices.  The cat's voice is like crying, like a baby, like an abandoned woman, sharp but soft.  Do cats sing or call?  To confide, or to accuse?

Yujin didn't know.  All she knew was that as soon as the cat started meowing, her nights would be full of restlessness and she would not be able to sleep at night.  Meow, meow, meow What other creatures in the world express themselves with human voices like this?

She listens.  In fact, she also longed to make that kind of voice, longing to convey her heart to the darkness, to the impermanent life and destiny, to everything in the night, but she couldn't do it.

More and more cats who came to the Wu family compound consciously and willingly accepted the leadership of the big white cat, and only listened to its snort.  As long as it returned to the room and snuggled into her arms, the cats in the yard would scatter and hide everywhere, keeping quiet.

The sun and the moon are subverted, and the world is impermanent. Yujin, a flower of time growing on the ruins.

    Four

When the dawn is coming and the insomniacs are about to faint, the neighing of the large trucks coming from afar, like the uncontrollable howling of giant beasts, pierces the night of Yucheng from afar.

That's the fifth long-distance truck driver, here we come!

On the day Yu Jin arrived at the cotton spinning factory, it was Lao Wu who registered for her.  The fifth child is a newly recruited porter named Liu Qiang. He ranks fifth at home and is the only one among the porters who has attended middle school.

Lao Wu is younger than Yu Jin, and the beard on his lips is just fluff.  When he first saw Yu Jin, he felt nervous and his cheeks trembled.  But he didn't letThere was a sense of vibration, as if the ground under the rolling of the wheels began to heave and undulate.

A few years later, at dusk, Lao Wu met a pale-faced driver from Yucheng at a small roadside shop at the junction of three provinces.  The two of them seemed to be destined, and silently approached a small table, rolled their own tobacco leaves, and gave them to each other to taste.

They chatted slowly.  The driver of Yucheng told Lao Wu that Yu Jin had not married into a wealthy family.

"Why?" Lao Wu almost jumped up from the small table.

The driver in Yucheng said that she asked the factory director's family to give her a period of time, or three months, or half a year.  She said she had relatives far away and she wanted to get in touch with them and had to invite them to her wedding.  However, she was unwilling to say who this relative was and where she was.  Speaking of which, she was alone in Yucheng, and everyone in the city felt that her request was not too much.  The factory manager's wife agreed to her and asked her son to wait patiently.

They didn't wait for Yujin's relatives, what they waited for was the paleness and withering of the flowers: Yujin was slowly unable to walk, and even couldn't sit still.

Some people also said that she was raped by Mazi and became paralyzed after giving birth to a daughter.

In short, Mazi will not marry her.

She still lives in the Wu family compound, and occasionally, leaning on a cane, half-moving and half-crawling, she comes out of the yard to buy a piece of cake to satisfy her hunger.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
