    ?

"Brother Tao, I have something to discuss with you~" Liao Ying said to me very formally as soon as I got home today.

"Uh, what's the matter, so serious~" I asked with a smile.

"I told my parents about our affairs, and my dad said he wanted to see you, and hoped that you would come over and have a meal together this week~"

    "!!!!!!"

I rely on it!  Are you meeting your parents now?  I'm not ready yet!

"Um, do you really want to see me? Is your father fierce? I'm a little scared~" I asked.

"Hey, it turns out that Brother Tao is also scared! My dad won't beat you, so what are you afraid of~" Liao Ying said.

"Eh~ It's the first time I meet my parents, I'm bound to be a little nervous~ By the way, didn't your dad hit you with a hanger before? Don't hit people now? How is it possible!"

When she was in high school, when her father learned that we were playing friends, he picked up the clothes hanger and greeted her, and said that he would not hit anyone!  If this is a Hongmen Banquet, wouldn't I be on the knife's edge if I went there?

"Really, I asked. My dad said that now that I have come out to work and I am old, I have been playing with you for so long. He wants to meet you. If there is no problem, let us go with the flow  go down."

Liao Ying's words moved me very much. After all, if I pass her parents' test, it means that we are truly together.

However, this is my first meeting with my future father-in-law, so I have to go!

The time is set for this weekend.

Liao Ying went over early on Saturday, as if she wanted to help me say something nice in front of her parents.

This is still very necessary, we are not so awesome that we can shock the audience as soon as we come out.

Early on Sunday morning, after I cleaned up, I rushed to Jitou Town.

Along the way, I was thinking about how to express myself when we met, how to let Liao Ying's parents feel my sincerity, and how to highlight my potential.

    Tired!  flustered!

With apprehension, after changing stations a few times, I finally arrived at the designated bus stop.

"Brother Tao, here~" Liao Ying greeted excitedly as soon as she got off the car.

"Here we come~" I smiled and moved forward.

"Are your parents at home?" I tentatively asked.  At this moment, my mood is really contradictory. I hope that her parents are not here, so that I can avoid disaster; I also hope to see her parents directly. After all, I mustered up the courage to come here, and I have to go through this process sooner or later.

"My mother is at home, my father drove away and will not be back until afternoon."

I learned before that Liao Ying's father drives a taxi and works two shifts. He recently drove the day shift. He left at 5:30 in the morning and came back after the shift at 6:00 in the afternoon.

Jitou Town, an old place in Chengdu, is relatively remote because it is located outside the Third Ring Road of Ximen.

There are also many trucks coming and going nearby, and the economic development is relatively backward, which is commonly known as "shanty towns".  Surrounded by low-rise houses, tile-roofed houses, mostly two-story buildings.

And Liao Ying's parents rented in the shanty town behind the bus station.

Going around the bamboo forest next to it, at a glance, the low house that resembles the style of my hometown appeared in front of me.

A two-meter-wide path extends into it. On both sides of the path are buildings in the style of the 1980s. The walls are made of red bricks. The cement mortar on the walls has fallen off in large pieces after long-term wind and sand.

The dirt path, with all kinds of garbage scattered on both sides, mixed with fallen leaves and tiles, tells the memory of the times.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
