    ?

"Grandpa, it's time to eat!" I stood at the gate of the courtyard, looking at my grandpa who was still working by the field and shouted loudly.

"Okay!" Grandpa even responded so simply.

Set up the table, wipe it clean, and serve shredded potatoes, loofah egg soup, and leftover eggplant from the morning.  Put another four sets of bowls and chopsticks, um, perfect, and we will have dinner when grandpa comes back.  Go to the room, wake up the sleeping sister, and settle her on the chair.

Our family belongs to a relatively traditional family. People who work abroad are not allowed to move their chopsticks before they come back. This is the most basic respect for workers.

Although the food is light and without meat, it is just a very homely dish.  But after a hard day's work, it's nice to be able to sit down and have a meal together as a family.

"Grandma, when will you get the big sweet potato I dug up today?" I asked while picking up the rice.

"I want it too, I want it too," my sister said vaguely.

"You can eat it at any time. How do you want to eat it? It's so big that it takes time to cook or steam it. You have to cut it open to cook quickly." Grandma thought for a while and said, "Why don't you ask your grandpa to cut some  When the meat comes back, I¡¯ll make tamales for you to eat.¡±

"Well, this is good, I like to eat tamales, how long has it been?" I asked impatiently.

"Wait until you go to the street. There are many ways to live these days, and you don't have the opportunity to cut the meat." Grandpa finished speaking, and took a sip from his wine glass.

"Old man, there isn't much water in the jar, you need to bring some water, otherwise there won't be enough to feed the pigs in the afternoon," grandma suddenly remembered, and said to grandpa.

"Okay, after eating and resting, I'll go fetch water"

Grandpa usually likes to drink a little wine, but he doesn't drink much. He only drinks one cup at a meal, about 1 tael, and occasionally drinks more, for example, when there are hard dishes such as twice-cooked pork and salted duck.

Grandpa eats very fast.  I ate more than half of a bowl of rice before he finished his drink and started to eat.  I haven't finished the rice in my bowl, and my grandpa started to drink soup after finishing the meal.  Well, I can't keep up with this eating speed at all.  People say that eating should be chewed and swallowed slowly in order to digest well, otherwise it is easy to gain weight.  But grandpa is very thin and messy.

After eating, my sister cleaned up the table and chopsticks with grandma, and my sister started playing in the yard by herself.  I also took marbles and played back and forth with my sister in the yard.

"Go and play over there. I'm going to start carrying water. It's inconvenient to come here." Grandpa came out of the kitchen with a bucket.

"Oh, okay, right away" put away the marbles on the ground, took my sister to the persimmon tree, and continued to play marbles.

After watching my grandpa carrying 2 buckets of water back and forth, I suddenly felt that I should do something to help, so I said to my grandpa: "Grandpa, I also want to help carry water, please teach me."

"You can lift water now? You can't lift a bucket of water that weighs dozens of catties," Grandpa said affirmatively.

"Let me carry less. When I grow up, I can carry a bucket. Let me carry less now. In case you are busy and there is no water at home, I can help carry a little."

"No! You are not allowed to touch when no one is around, and you cannot let your sister go to the well. Before, no one saw the xx in the yard below, and she fell into the well and drowned." Grandpa resolutely refused to let me mention it.

Leaving my sister behind and letting her play alone, I walked to the well and looked at my grandpa expectantly.

"I can teach you, but I can't mention it now, understand?" Grandpa put down the bucket and stood by the mouth of the well, brought the bamboo pole over, and let me lean over to watch.

The bucket is made of iron, very heavy, with a diameter of about 30 centimeters and a height of about 50 centimeters. A bucket can hold a lot of water.  There is a semi-circular iron ring on the top of the bucket, which buckles the two sides of the bucket, and a knot is tied to the iron ring with a rope, so that it can be tied to the bamboo pole when carrying water.

There is a big hole in the head of the bamboo pole. In order to demonstrate how to operate it, my grandfather moved very slowly. He passed the knot on the top of the bucket through the bamboo, and then wrapped the rope back around the bamboo pole. Using the natural weight of the bucket, the rope  It is getting tighter and tighter, and the bucket will not fall into the well because of fetching water.

Grandpa held the bamboo pole with both hands, lifted it up, put the bucket into the well, and said as he put it: "When putting it in, put your feet in a horoscope, and stand on the edge of the well mouth, but don't get too close. When the bucket touches the water, the bamboo pole will fall."  Press down and the bucket will deflect and the water will flow in"

Sure enough, the water filled the bucket in one go.  Grandpa bent down and pulled up the bamboo pole alternately with both hands.  "When lifting water, lean back as much as possible, and don't get close to the mouth of the well. Otherwise, if you don't have enough strength, you will be dragged down by the bucket and you will fall."

"Okay, I see." I stood by the side, thinking about how to convince Grandpa to let me try lifting water.

Soon, it's overAfterwards, grandpa came over with an empty bucket.

"Grandpa, let me try it, I'll just say less." Before grandpa came, I ran up, grabbed the iron ring of the bucket with my hand, and refused to let go.

"Then you must be careful, don't mention it less, if I tell you to mention it, you must mention it." In the end, Grandpa agreed.

I stood at the mouth of the well, looked down at the deep well, and became nervous for no reason.  Tie up the bucket, lower it gently, and alternate hands slowly, for fear that if your hand slips, the bucket will fall.  My waist is very straight, but I feel that my movements are very stiff. It is obvious that my grandfather did it very easily just now, so why can't it work when I come here.

Grandpa has been standing by the side, with his hands slightly open, staring at me very intently.

"Boom", the sound of buckets touching came from the well. I continued to press the bamboo pole down according to the method taught by my grandfather, and saw the water slowly flowing into the bucket, feeling that I was about to succeed.

"Quickly, lift it up, don't pretend to be too much", Grandpa's reminder came from beside me, I hurriedly pulled up the bamboo pole, and sure enough, it was not very heavy yet.

But when I pulled up alternately, I realized that if I was unskilled in the movement, it was equivalent to lifting water with one hand.  The bucket was only halfway up, and I felt a little sore in my arm. The words had already been spoken, so I couldn¡¯t give up at the beginning. I gritted my teeth and persisted, and continued to go up.

"You lift the water in and pour it yourself, and then bring the bucket over," Grandpa said.

I carried the bucket with both hands, bent sideways, and walked to the kitchen step by step.  After walking a few steps, I realized that this posture was very tiring. I recalled that my grandfather carried the bucket with one hand. I tried it, but I could barely lift it. So I held the handle with one hand and walked into the kitchen at a faster pace.

With a distance of more than 20 meters, I walked very hard, and I really wanted to put down the iron bucket in my hand, but the pride in my bones did not allow me to let it go now, because this is what I proposed to experience, and I cannot give up so soon.

There are 2 water tanks in the kitchen, both of which are very large. The largest one is near the corner and is used to hold well water.  Next to the big water tank, there is also a smaller one, which is mainly used to release hogwash and feed pigs.

When I came to the water tank in the kitchen, I put down the bucket first, took a deep breath, then lifted the bucket with one hand to a height higher than my chest, and hurriedly supported the bottom of the bucket with the other hand. The bucket leaned against the side of the water tank and poured the water  enter.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
