    ?

Because of the busy days before, Lao Tao and a few guys from the bookstore haven't gotten up yet.

So, Zhang Luo unlocked it by himself, thinking to go in first and tidy up the shop.

But who would have thought that there are pages of books that have not yet been bound.

Looking at the awl and thread used for binding, Zhang Luo thought of Brother Beard.  She was just about to order someone to find him, but she felt that she was going too far.

Therefore, Zhang Luo wanted to line up the pages of the books and insert the braided ropes according to the volumes, so as to wait for Lao Tao and the others to start working.

Just as I was packing up, I suddenly saw that the lock of the shopkeeper's drawer was loose and not closed.

She tore it open and saw that there was only a broken wooden box inside, and inside the box were a few irrelevant receipts, which were said to be for the payment of lamp oil and candle wax.  Zhang Luo was just about to put the box back, but unexpectedly the rotten bottom of the box fell off.

A neatly folded, thin document floated to the ground.

Zhang Luo opened his eyes and almost dropped his jaw in fright:

Because, this document is the lease of the house.  In addition to the scary rental price above: 10,000 taels of silver a year, the owner's name also flashed to Zhang Luo's waist.

    "Chang Dongwang?"

Lao Tao stretched his waist in good time, and came from the small gate in the backyard.  He first saw the bored little eunuch, Little White Goose, and then saw Zhang Luo at the counter.

"Accountant Zhang, are you here so early?"

When Lao Tao saw that Zhang Luo had found the store lease, he was also taken aback: "Accountant Zhang"

Zhang Luo frowned, wanted to speak, but didn't know what to say.  It took me a long time to say something: "Now that the landlord is dead, is the new landlord coming to sign a new lease with us?"

Old Tao burst out laughing. Seeing that the little white goose was far away and couldn't hear them talking, he secretly said:

"Ms. Zhang is such a smart person, how can I be so confused?! Then Chang Dongwang is just a person who supports people. Otherwise, who would give him 10,000 taels of silver to rent such a place? Buy, buy dozens of piles like this  The courtyard store? And, look, the rent will have to go up next year!"

"It's still going up? Then no matter how much you earn, you won't be able to spend much money. Is it enough to make up for the lack of offerings in the palace?"

Lao Tao laughed loudly and shook his head:

"Hey, what you said reminds me of Taoist Jia. Do you really think that this place is for those who have nothing to eat in the palace to make up for?"

While talking, a few more workers came to work.

Only then did Lao Tao take the rent documents from Zhang Luo and put them back into the wooden box.  He pointed to the bottom cabinet behind him: "If you don't believe me, take a look here. Here is the amount of money per person, from Chang Dongwang"

Then, Lao Tao closed the drawer and entertained the workers to go to the back warehouse for binding and printing.

While Zhang Luo was going to open the cabinet, he heard a worker ask Lao Tao:

"Uncle Tao, why does accountant Zhang look so bad?"

"Like her father, she has a heart attack. I'm afraid she'll be fine by lunch time."

"Does Taoist Jia have a heart attack? Why haven't I heard of it?"

Another worker saw that the little white goose was bored and went out of the yard to play, so he dared to ask.

"Taoist Jia If he hadn't always been against the late emperor, he wouldn't have ended up being wiped out of the Lingxu Palace."

Lao Tao patted his thigh, deliberately saying this to Zhang Luo.

Zhang Luo suddenly felt tears rolling in her eyes. She didn't know if these words suddenly awakened Jia Yi's previous memory in this body.

She held back her tears and said to Lao Tao in the yard:

"Oror maybe it's Jiathe Taoist priest's way of speaking is not good, so why?"

Several workers also thought it was reasonable, and nodded to Lao Tao:

"Yeah, after all, it's hard to be straightforward when talking to officials"

"It's us, we have to be polite when talking to your elder brother, aren't we? Let alone with the emperor"

Lao Tao didn't argue, he just sent them to work in the back warehouse, and then took care of the princes and noble sons who came in to buy books and paintings.

When the sun was three poles high, Zhang Luo, who was watching Chang Dongwang's penny records, suddenly heard a very familiar arrogant movement from outside.

She poked her head out to take a look, and it turned out to be Liang Balang, the leader of the Tai student.

He was wearing a black fox fur coat, a jasper-wrapped gold panzi on his chest, an extremely ornately carved sword pinned to his waist, a tourmaline finger wrench, and two or three rings of gemstones of different colors.

The last time I slapped my blue suit student with a fan, it was with a few other students."Liang Ba's square face was blue, he took it and tore it to pieces:

"This is slander! This is slander! My father's ancestor was also in charge of politics. How could he go to drink wine and owe money on credit?"

Zhang Luoban stepped back behind Lao Tao:

"Could it be that the eighth son of Liang came to burn down our shop on the fourteenth day of the first lunar month just to silence people?"

Liang Bawan didn't expect Zhang Luo to say this:

"You sell books here, if I don't accept the account, how can I come to you and set fire to the account book?"

"Hey? Didn't the eighth son of Liang also shout just now that this is a lair for prostitutes and robbers. Of course he knows that the owner of this place is Chang Dongwang from the old building. Why are you still playing a rascal and denying it?"

Zhang Luo said with a face of righteousness, in fact, this list is the record of Liang Ba's father's distribution of money from Chang Dongwang.  Chang Dongwang just set up some accounts to pay money by chance.

However, these words really annoyed Liang Balang, he rushed into the shop, jumped over Lao Tao, and hit Zhang Luo.

He heard a loud shout behind him, and then Liang Ba's hand was held down from behind.

It turned out that Yue Yuhou on the road rushed in.

Several of his men also rushed into the store to check the fire so they could put it out.

Who would have thought, but found that the roof of the house was not on fire at all.

But it was Zhang Luo who moved out the charcoal basin, stuffed wet charcoal blocks in it, and called out a few workers who hadn't come to run away, covered their faces, and fanned the wind with a fan (Remember this website URL  : www.hlnovel.com
