    ?

Zhou Manqing wrapped her shawl tightly, and she brushed shoulders with Chu Zhiyan to answer the phone.

    "Hello?"

    "Why."

"Where did Lennon go? I made several calls earlier but no one answered."

"Oh went out." Zhou Manqing looked up at the wall clock, it was already 4 o'clock in the afternoon, she replied: "What's the matter? You came to me early in the morning, is there something wrong?"

"Nothing serious, flustered. Are you in good health?"

    "Pretty good"

    "What goodbye."

    "Goodbye."

They spoke Shanghai dialect, and Chu Zhiyan couldn't understand a few sporadic words.  Taking advantage of Zhou Manqing's turning her back to make a phone call, she stretched her neck to look at the family portrait just now, but it's a pity that Zhou Manqing had already asked Zhou Manqing to take away the old photo.

Zhou Manqing put down the phone, feeling a little flustered.  She didn't know whether the decision she made today would repair her relationship with her daughter or would alienate the mother and daughter who were already far apart.

But no matter what, she thought it would be better to set some rules first to avoid trouble.

She walked back slowly and sat down in her original position.

"Do you know who I am?"

Chu Zhiyan's fingernails were in the palm of her hand, she pondered the meaning of this sentence, and replied in a low voice: "It's a benefactor."

Zhou Manqing didn't feel comfortable in her heart. With a sneer on her lips, she said, "My surname is Zhou. You can call me Teacher Zhou."

Chu Zhiyan raised her eyelids, her dark eyes couldn't see the bottom, after a while, she said, "Teacher Zhou."

"Who are there in your family?"

"It's not my home, and I won't go back. I came to Shanghai to find my mother"

Before Chu Zhiyan finished speaking, Zhou Manqing raised his wrist and said:

"If you want to live with me, there are a few things I must tell you first. First, don't talk about looking for your mother. If you insist on being a little tadpole, then please go out.  Two, cut off all contact with the past, don't contact people in your hometown, if you can't do it, then don't stay here."

Chu Zhiyan lowered her eyes and her face was expressionless. She was like a mirror in her heart, but she couldn't distinguish half a sentence, and her lips were tightly pursed.

"One more thing, don't ask questions, don't ask if you can. You live with me, and I ask you to do some simple housework. You can also be a nanny, but I want to help each other. You stay with me  I am relieved, and I will give you a place to live."

Seeing that she kept bowing her head and didn't say a word, Zhou Manqing couldn't help feeling a little confused, and confessed: "You can talk, but it's not that you are not allowed to talk. What do you think of what I said?"

    "Yes." Chu Zhiyan answered clearly.

Zhou Manqing felt more and more that she was a bit interesting, and now she stood there with lowered brows but thoughtful looks, compared to the one in the cafe, she was a completely different person.

Suddenly Chu Zhiyan raised her head again, and she asked, "Can I write a letter?"

Zhou Manqing frowned, and replied: "I've already told you, if you can't cut off contact with the past, then you can go out now."

"No!" Chu Zhiyan showed anxiety in line with her age group. She said that she wanted to write a letter to Chengdu to tell a good friend of hers that she was safe.

Zhou Manqing was a little soft-hearted. She thought about it and said, "You can write a letter to say goodbye. Don't leave the address here. Of course, I won't give it to you either."

Chu Zhiyan showed a disappointed look, but he had no choice but to follow his wishes.

"Oh, by the way, what's your name?"

    "Know Yan."

Zhou Manqing was stunned. There was a mole above her eyebrows, and she always looked majestic at first glance.

She thought for a while and said, "Let's call it Nora. It sounds nicer." (Remember the website website: www.hlnovel.com
