    ?

A place where I used to practice was a well-known non-profit organization for the visually impaired in the United States. It was on Sixty-fourth Street in New York, very close to Central Park.

The whole building is full of transparent floor-to-ceiling glass windows, which is beautiful and shocking no matter from the outside or the inside.

In the building, people led by guide dogs can be seen everywhere.  The vast majority of guide dogs are Labradors or Golden Retrievers, wearing formal uniforms.

Unlike the little friends who happily pick up the frisbee in the park outside, they walk slowly and steadily, feeling and listening to the owner's instructions carefully at any time.

Avoiding obstacles, reminding you of steps, elevators or turns, there is no conversation with the owner but a tacit understanding.

Once the owner sits down, they lie down quietly at the owner's feet, and they will not block the place where others walk.

Even though I know working dogs shouldn't bother me when they're working, sometimes I can't help rubbing their heads secretly.

They just let me knead them obediently, neither making a sound nor looking at me, and always staying by the owner's side.  Once the owner makes any action, they immediately get up and go to work.

With such a group of cuties around, work is much more fun.  After a long time, when chatting with their owners, they will occasionally look at me.  But just such a glance, I don't know why, is enough to make me happy for a long time.

It was only later that I learned that they also serve as emotional comfort.  It is also a very good companion working dog for people with severe emotional anxiety and autism.

Thinking about it this way, words are sometimes superfluous.  In many cases, it is not worthy of a quiet company, a solid and whole-hearted hug.

As I write this, the cat owner at home jumped onto the table, lay on his hands, rested his head on the keyboard, and typed out a string of garbled characters.

In the eyes of the stars and the sea, I can naturally see the meaning: it's time to accompany me, you know?  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
